Hello guys hope everyone is doing good. I am in South Africa and currently planing to come to Moose Jaw through RNIP programme and this video encourages me to love this cute city more😮❤
I just returned from a visit to Moose Jaw. I grew up there from 1949 to 1961 and wanted to trigger my happy childhood memories. I fell in love, again, with Cresent Park, Wakamow Valley, the historic buildings and the friendly people We were not allowed to walk down River Street as a child, so I was fascinated to learn why when I did the Al Capone underground tour. Your video captures the essence of this fine little city, thank you !
Your videos are always the best and this one is just amazing. A walk throught this awesome city is so relaxing and the Temple garden is a fairy tale. Thank you Alina for this beautiful video with your lovely dad.
Hello, how are you? Can you help me with something simple, please? I would like to join the army in this city, Moose Jaw. The Canadian government wants people to live and work in this city, and I hope you can help me. I am 24 years old and I would like to live, work, and be in peace.❤

Hey Alina McLeod tremendo el recorrido en moose jaw nice, cielos azules, coffee time, food , parque, piscina para nadar , buena narracion de history, recorrido seguro , y te miras bonita con tus gafas
It's unbelievable where everyone is busy with themselves, everyone is busy pampering their GF, BF, wife-husband, no one has time (I think they don't want) to give to those old parents who give us their all, our parents sacrificed a lot to qualify us, but sadly their contribution is forgotten after we qualify. Salute to you, for taking care of your father and giving him such a wonderful time, many blessings and best wishes for you and your father. from Bangladesh 🇧🇩
My family and I have been to Moose Jaw. The last time my Dad and I were only there. We wanted some place to eat so we asked the people in the car besides us. Really friendly people. They recommended a restaurant on the main street. Looked like a small place outside but it was pretty big on the inside. Sadly I don't remember the name. Also I heard there are public mineral pools. There are tours from other cities that go to Moose Jaw.
Really loved this tour around Moose Jaw with your dad. A lovely looking city, and interesting to learn about the history. Definitely would like to visit there. Thanks for sharing Alina :)

Such a fun adventure!!! Loved learning about the history of the place that I was standing in, even with as sad as the history was. Everything was recreated so wonderfully and the actors were talented and kind!
Idk if anyone else has said it but moose jaw also has some really fun escape rooms in a place called little chicago entertainment ive done both three of the escape rooms there and they are all really fun. And ax throwing is there too.
It was interesting to see Moose Jaw, very relaxed and a slow paced city. Heard the name of this city before and now came across your video. Watching from Ukraine. Thanks for posting.
Hi Alina and Gordon! I very much enjoyed your visit to Moose Jaw - a small city with a fascinating history! Unfortunately, I never visited here. Instead, we drove from Saskatoon to Swift Current (Speedy Creek) on our way down to Colorado for spring break. Thanks for sharing the interesting tunnel history of Moose Jaw!
Hi thank u for the videos i get to see SAK. it is like a preparation for what to expect once we arrive/migrate this Oct. but honestly I feel home sick already
Moose Jaw was one of three cities we visited in Saskatchewan, the other two, Saskatoon and Regina. All lovely cities with their own charm. We did walking tours. We loved the tunnels. Great Memories for us and hope for you. Sending you lots of love💖💖💖 Harriet, Jim and Yuki. Richmond, Va.
Moose Jaw looks to be a city with lots of history and that tunnel attraction you went to definitely sounds educational. It's sad that the Chinese immigrants had to live under such horrible conditions but it's also interesting in its own way. The cafè you went to looks super nice and chill as well and the food you had looks yummy too! And the moose statue is about the most Canadian thing ever haha! And true, here in Norway there is a huge moose statue here in Norway, The Big Elk, and I read there was a battle between Canada and Norway about who had the bigger moose (A friendly battle, quite a hilarious one haha) but I think both statues look cool, no matter which one is the biggest. These videos travelling around with your dad are so wholesome, it's so cool to get to see different parts of Canada this way! :)
it's all a facade the tunnels were used for transporting coal to and from all the buildings during winter time and only one small block was used for Chinese inhabitation . Al Capone spent two years here Topps hiding from the cops with a friend who used the city for smuggling booze lol
Awesome! I'd like to know the name of the Bootlegger song you used in this video. Capone had quite a network. He ran rum from the Caribbean here to South Mississippi on Schooners, they hid from the Revenue Cutter Service in the bayous to unload the booze, then it was sent up the Mississippi River to Chicago. The Mob had tunnels they used there too! Years ago, I found a recipe for the Canadian version of Shepard's Pie. It was ground hamburger, cheese, and mashed potatoes baked into a pie crust. That is what the railroads fed their construction workers from China and Quebec when they were building railways across Canada in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. 👍🇺🇸🇨🇦😊
From mid may to September check out Sukannen Ship and Pioneer Village museum just south of MooseJaw. Plan on several hours to walk around this hidden gem.
I am from Algeria and I am ready to live in this city. I want to prove my skills and provide my service and talents to the Canadian community... Canada is my dream and I have no problem living in the countryside... I love the countryside and nature
Having lived in the "Provence" to the south of you (North Dakota), I spent a lot of time in Estevan and Weyburn,. I'm sure there was probably more bootlegging out of those two towns then Moose Jaw, but to each his own. I'm very positive you didn't head down that way. To bad, would of made a very good vlog. Next time I head up that way, I'll stop in for a Molson or a Moosehead, Ya know.......
In the 30's Weyburn and Estevan had populations of around 5 thousand, Moose jaw however had a population of 22 thousand, chances are it or Regina with 53 thousand saw more action.
Started watching the video and at 1:42 I saw this flag that seemed like the brazilian flag to me, but I looked closer and it wasn’t, but funny, wonder if they were inspired by it. Another cozy ride with the awesome company of your dad.
@@AlinaMcleod just read it here in wikipedia, it’s funny because it states that the green represents the northern forests of the province and gold the southern grain fields. Many people, even in Brazil, believe that green in our flag represents the forests and yellow the gold, but in reality green represented the portuguese royal family and gold the Habsburghs, because in the 19th century Brazil was a monarchy and the Emperor Pedro I, who proclaimed our Independence, got married with an austrian woman named Maria Leopoldina, and she was a member o the Habsburgh family. After the proclamation of the Republic, in the end of 19th century, the flag was changed a bit, but the green and yellow were preserved.
Alina I think we your viewers should adopt your Dad as with the title “Honorary UA-camr”! Unless of course he starts his own channel. Fun to watch you both. Special Thanks. 😄

Hi Alina, too bad You where not allowed to film in the tunnels. If You ever come to Germany, You also could get the experience of old tunnels. Used for different purposes. But we do not have actors to bring the history alife. Best regards, Ralf

Excellent, Alina! I was born and raised in Moose Jaw and really appreciate your update on the things going on there now. A piece of history you might not know is that the Temple Gardens spa got its name from an old dance hall in downtown called Temple Gardens. I used to go to a teen dance every Friday called the Platter Party, that was great fun in the late 1950s.
