Bantayan is my ancestral home my grandpa Lolo grew up in this beautiful island in the 1920s to 1930s.
Oh wow! It's a beautiful island and you're grandparents are lucky for having grown up there.

Bantayan Is. is getting known that it is starting to get expensive tourist destination, but it is still a must visit though. It is really annoying that these people who do make a living with the transport is getting used to sort of swindling, I do get it they're trying to make a living but sometimes it is too much. Perhaps this is due to that there is no one controlling/regulating them like there is no official tariff to how much is the flagfall rate to rent and hire a motortrike. I do appreciate this boldness that you do cover these transactions because this is reality of how these people take advantage of tourists. But still it ended well. 🌴🌴🌅

This post is a real gem, I feel you when it comes to negotiating with tricycles (no offense). Near or Far, prices should be regulated. Takes a little bit of vacation time just negotiating...sad
Thats so true.. It really becomes a turn off for tourists visiting the place and we were already speaking the local dialect.

My Ma's place Bantayan island (used to call back then Bag-ong (new) Bantayan....! I was very young (4-5 yr old) my mother brought me there and never been back til now...😅!!!
There’s been a lot of changes in the past years - and I heard a casino will open up soon? Hope you can visit before the massive changes to enjoy the pristine island before it gets too developed :)
What did the vegetarians think of the restaurants and their options on the island? We are considering this island or similar w decent food for vegetarians.
The options were okay for vegetarians. Still had to buy lots of fresh produce from the market and have the staff at the accommodation grill it. If you really want to focus on restaurants that are vegan friendly, I would choose Siargao.

Ive actually never been to Camotes yet but definitely worth a visit :)

Tryk driver can a pain in the ass sometimes in santa fe pier. Better to arrange ahead from the accomodation...

Hi! If you stay in Kota beach area then it’s walking distance Lang. If Sugar Beach area then better if you have a motorbike, but it’s like a 5 min ride
how do you get from Cebu airport to Hagnaya port please ?... I only get expensive rides...
We find a car for rent on Facebook Marketplace. There’s also a bus but I can’t tell you details on the bus

Yeah it’s a great place for a workaction. It’s not expensive and internet is decent. I was able to do video calls for work :)

Hello, the 300 does not include gas. You can rent directly from your hotel/ accomodation. They will get a motorbike for you.

@@TheTravellingFoxes True louy ang mga local at local tourist. Tulad lang sa bohol sa alona side minsan lang daw mag pasakay ang mga tricycle ng mga local dahil 150 ang singil nila kahait malapit lang, talagang tourist lang ang market nila.

Lol, you must be confused between Bantayan Island(Bantayan) and Municipality of Bantayan.
I have no idea, I have to admit, I thought the whole place is called bantayan island :)
@@TheTravellingFoxes yes, you're right. The whole is Bantayan Island. It has three municipalities; Madridejos (Lawis), Bantayan -- the Capital town of the island. Sta. Fe is the town wherein the port is located, and it has the beautiful white sand beaches of the island. But still, all three towns of the island has also beaches/resorts. Once you docked on to the island wether you stayed in Sta Fe or wherever within the island, it is still more familiar and easier to remember and locate the name, Bantayan. Thank you for advertising Bantayan Island on your vlog!🥰
