My brother used to listen to Metal and Iron Maiden as a kid in Greece back in the 80s.
Since the early nineties he stopped listening to metal.
2 years ago he moved to London at the age of 40.
He told me that the first thing he did when he settled in was to listen to "The number of the beast", some 25 years after the last time.
He didn't know why. He just did.
Iron Maiden leave a stamp on you and you carry the experience inside your heart and soul for ever.

I was in the concert in Chile (Fear of The Dark Video). It was just amazing. Well, it wass my 4th Iron Maiden Concert, and it was just awesome. Iron Maiden is just the best band in the whole World! Nice reaction!
@@HasPotatoAim It's a must for every metal music fan to come to a Chilean or Argentinian concert. No crowd is better. Not for nothing many bands have recorded live concerts here. Besides Iron Maiden, you have Motörhead, Anthrax, The Gathering, Rob Halford, Accept, AC/DC, Megadeth, etc.
Some advice after seeing live them 4 times...
Go early, defend your spot like warriors, embrace the exhaustion you will feel, enjoy it like it's your last concert ever

One day on a British Lion show someone tried so hard to get me off my post that my shirt got ripped, still didn't give up and managed to fistbump Steve at the end. The ride back home was interesting walking through the city with half a shirt on. I kept it as a souvenir jahauq
You guys are bloody adorable!! I really know your feels Wolf....the first ever metal band I got into was Iron Maiden...at the ripe young age of 10 (I'm 42 now). They brought their "Somewhere Back in Time" tour all the way down here to New Zealand in 2008. I was there...near the front...and I was a 10 year old little girl all over again!! I still can't believe that I was so fortunate to attend! One of the fondest memories of that show was, just before our flight landed at Auckland airport, was seeing Ed Force One already on the tarmac...almost all of the passengers on our flight (including myself) let out one almighty cheer!! Both of you will love it, I swear!! xxx

Took my wife to Uriah Heep for her birthday - Uriah Heep was one of her favorite bands when she was a teenanger but she never saw them live.
She didn't know I had the tickets, took her out for diner and drove to the show. TOP Night.
I've been fortunate enough to see Maiden 3 times. They never disappoint. I was really glad I got to see the Seventh Son anniversary tour.

As a young teenager I saw Maiden on their World Piece Tour twice. On the World Slavery Tour I got backstage passes and became the proud keeper of Steve Harris's DNA in the form of an 18-inch strand of his hair plucked directly from the back his head (with permission, of course). I still have it taped to the inside of my tour book right next to his autograph. I have seen them countless times since then and their shows NEVER disappoint. Seeing those legends on stage and hearing songs that have been part of your life for decades, along with the energy of the crowd, leaves you high. Can't WAIT to hear about Sistah's and Wolf's experience!
I feel you Wolf. Maiden does that to me as well sometimes. It's a special to us fans, and it's hard to explain. Their music can transcend you, in a a way that very few bands can do. And sharing it with someone you love, well that makes it all even more special. Amazing that the two of you are finally going to see Maiden live. In my 23 years of living, I've seen Maiden 10 times (first show in 2000) and each time has been an absolute blast -It's basically like watching metal theater! If you plan to check out more live concerts, I think "Infinite Dreams" from Maiden England 1988 is a great one to include. The Seventh Son tour was the most epic thing ever!
Maiden is, was and will ever be the greatest Metal Band on this fucking Planet. They never had a fucking No.1 radio hit and do sold out shows over the entire world in front of hundredthousand people. This is the real deal.
Saw them the first time live in 1986 when I was 15. It was the "Somewhere on Tour" and then many times more during my whole life. Last Year I saw them for the 18th time here in hannover in Germany with the Legacy of the Beast Tour. I was three times at the book of Souls tour and where a lucky guy because I was on two times on the maiden guestlist. First in Denmark and the other here in Germany in hamburg. On both dates I met Nicko McBrain in the VIP BOX , so I could chat with him. The First time I met him it was like I was a little boy. Shaking and crying and could not believe what happend to me. On the second time Nicko had a chat with us in his private rooms at the venue before the concert and invited us to the hotel after the show. So we had another chat with him in the hotel bar and a drink on him. So I really can understand your Feelings.
I am so happy for you that you are going to see this. It will be one of your unforgettable moments in your entire Life.

You once said power metal was the children..and iron maiden was the daddy...but Steve Harris, said the bands major influence, was "wishbone ash"..a British rock band from the seventies...their seminal album "ARGUS"...is still in the top ten best British rock albums of all time!...check them out...and you will see, where iron maiden, got their influence from!!
This October is gonna be my first Maiden show as well!! I'm extremely happy for you guys! It'll definitely be an experience to remember for life.

Man it was so awesome the first time I saw Maiden back in 2010 (I've only seen them in 2010 and 2012 btw) because they are my favorite band ever and I just knew they would deliver like no other band. It really was one of the greatest experiences of my life.
And another thing, my mom was there with me for both Maiden shows because she loved them just like I do and sadly she passed away just 2 months after the 2nd show, making it the last show she ever went to. I was only 14 so it hit me like a ton of bricks and I have not been the same since but above all I'm grateful we had those experiences together and I know she's still rocking up in heaven. Up the Irons for her guys 🤘.

Went to see Maiden Somewhere in Time in '87. Watched the first band (Vinnie Vincent Invasion) went to the bathroom where everyone was smoking out, cop walks in, grabs me, chucks me out into the pouring rain. Pretty cool
No auto tune, no backing tracks, no lip syncing!!!!!! Metal music is the best, and Maiden is the best of them all, still kicking ass after all these years. Saw them in Hartford last year during the legacy of the Beast tour, never disappoint!!! Up the Irons 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Ive been listening to Maiden since 1992, age 14 but it wasn't until last August that i finally got to see them live at the O2 in London, age 40, it was a night i'll never forget and thankfully somebody uploaded it to YT so i can watch it again whenever i like which so awesome. The first time I saw Iron Maiden was 1982 at the old Navy Pier in Chicago. Paul Di'Anno and Clive Burr were in the band then. I've seen them at least 20 times since. I was pissed when Adrian Smith left the band and stopped going to shows. I saw them about 10 years ago with Dream Theater. Iron Maiden is one of the best live shows ever hands down!

I feel the same way about this band. They're probably the only band that REALLY hits me emotionally for some reason. I don't know what it is, there's just something special about them and their fans. Every time I watch the Flight 666 documentary/live concert it hits me a certain way. ESPECIALLY when the crowd sings the intro to Fear of the Dark... No other band on the planet can be compared. I wasn't even born when they formed and didn't even really discover them until about 2008-2009. Seen them 3 times now and it's been a hell of an experience every time!
I seen Iron Maiden twice. If you can, get near as possible of the stage, if not, you gonna feel near anyway.
Don't worry about been tired, when the songs begin, everything will be washed away. Its amazing. Up the Irons.

Iron Maiden is prolly my top artist; the relationship here between these two shows me that all the racial rhetoric is all perception and not reality. The chemistry is palpable. I'm so in line with Wolfs taste of music (in love with Nightwish since 1997 and a big Iron Maiden fan since I´m 14 years old or something) perhaps you would like Blind Guardian, too? They made me fall into Metal when I was a kid and will always have a special place in my heart =) If you like you may perhaps check out the "Somewhere far beyond" Album or live versions (perhaps Wacken 2016) from "Valhalla" or "The bards song"?

I was at Ullevi, Gothenburg 2009 for flight 666, 55 000 people sang along through every last song. Every word! That was the 9th time i saw this band live (1984 - 2009) and they are absolutely amazing live! Audience age ranges from 12 to 70! Generations of fans getting together and now one fight or evil look, just happiness and sheer joy!

Great gift to give. I surprised my g/f at the time on Valentine's Day, she thought we were going to do the romantic candle lit dinner thing, I took her to see Sick Of It All at the Astoria 2 Charing Cross Rd. I didn't convert her to NYHC but she did enjoy herself. 😄

Haha, I even cried also watching you crying :D Maiden is everything to me, I saw them 30 times since 2008, and after European leg of Legacy Tour, I went to NYC in 2019, and in 2020 gonna do 4 extra gigs. Seeing them live makes me alive. I had very difficult studying time (now I'm MD) and Maiden music was my relief and helped me to think positive etc. Cheers!

My favorite post 2000 song of Iron Maiden is "Dance of Death". I strongly recommend the live version of that from En Vivo.
