Not sure what that means but I am guessing it is good! I’d say Tom is the Clinton Anderson of dog training. 😄

Absolutely love your videos! I'm bringing my new puppy home in two weeks, and thanks to you I now know that training starts the first moment I meet him. Thank you!

Toilet training for my 8 week old border collie has been tough. At night he could go 4-5 hours without a wee but daytime I'd be lucky to get 15 minutes between them. It was a real battle which I was losing. I'd add to your suggestions that every single time they start sniffing the floor, IMMEDIATELY take them out, even if they had a wee just minutes ago. This has eliminated the ones I was missing, because I wasn't expecting the wees to be so frequent.

For sure Simon! Definitely definitely got to watch them like a hawk!! Try your absolute best to have him outside before he needs to sniff the floor though! Create that routine so the puppy understands he drinks- he goes out. He plays- he goes out! He eats- goes out! If you do this on top of hourly opportunities, you should be ok buddy! Even do half hourly if you can for the first couple weeks! I really hope all of this helps! Thanks for your comment and the genuinely useful extra tip!! :)

I bring my puppy home next Sunday. I am anxious about crate training and ideally do not want to have the crate in my bedroom. Do you have any online videos regarding crate training? Is it realistic to not have the crate in the bedroom even on the first night?

Hey, I don’t have a crate training video yet I will very soon though, if it will help I could do a last minute zoom session for you to help you?? all dogs are different and I have raised over 10 puppies the majority of puppies I have raised have cried downstairs in their crate for about an hour of the first night and then been fine, then the next day they cried for a little less than an hour etc etc unfortunately with Aegon bless him, he really struggled and cried for about 4-5 days! If you can go to my website and book in a Zoom :)

    Hello,
Your content is really great for digestable videos on how to for dog training.
Do you have an Instagram or any other social media that you post on?
Also, do you offer 1-1 training and where abouts in the UK are you based?
Me and my partner are currently waiting to get on the list for a miniature schnauzer puppy but he won't likely be coming home until June! Still trying to prepare as much as possible though!
    Thanks
    Karina

Hi there, I was wondering if you offer dog training in London? I have a very, very excitable strong puppy that we need some help with!

Our 11 week pup has no issue with his crate and settles easily in it. But he won't yet randomly go in on his own. Any suggestions? Is it a training issue?

not an issue at all. over time going in to the crate will become a habit for your puppy, but it does take time! but honestly not an issue, it really does sound like youre doing a great job, well done and keep it up!
