The SG definitely has the fuller, brighter, more singing tone. The Les Paul isn't bad by any means. Its voice is just softer and not nearly as dynamic. The Yamaha also sounds more "velvety". Your playing definitely has emotional content. Just excellent. Really enjoying hearing you.
I Love it man! The guitars are awesome but so was your playing breakdown of how to play this as well! Tanaka's brilliance of note choice has always fascinated me and by watching your video, and finally making time to try and learn some parts of this song, its really opened my mind up to different ways on how to play voicings and a little bit of soloing better! I just Love the movent in playing and notes that he has! But anyways, awesome playing and Love Both guitars! I think the Yamaha SG sounds more open in my opinion though... probably why Tanaka used it a lot lol!
Despite not having the better pickups, straight through neck design, and brass sustain block of the higher models (like the SG-2000), the tone is just superior in almost every way. Great to hear some Takanaka. Would love to see you do Casiopea. Issei Noro is one of my favourites.
@@nanta335 haha no i mean when you stand up. Does the actual neck where the fretboard is go down alot? Alot of SG’s from Gibson and Epiphone do that when people play standing
Awesome cover. I love your playing! About the comparison, I have a slight preference for the SG, I feel it's more focused on the mids.

velvety?
Nice comparison, Sir. Nice licks, too. I have an Yamaha SG. But, I'm preferring the sound of the LP this time.

Amaze
Amazing !!!!
Definitely different tone. The LP sounds ballsier, the SG sweeter.
Thank you! Exactly!
I'd say the LP was loads warmer. Despite my being an SG player myself..
솔로 예쁘게 잘 만드셨네요
Awesome playing and video editing so that everyone can see that the Yamaha kills the Gibson and the case is rested.
Just bought a 1982 SG2000, OOOH Nellie! how can I get that backing track?

really nice cover!!! BTW just buy the same clothes the gold top les pual😀
My shirts is by UNIQLO.
Gibson doesn't have as much clarity as the SG
How is the SG with neck dive? Thinking of getting one
Do you mean the neck pickup with overdrive tone? I think it sounds great :-)

@@alicanozturk1360 Oh, I understand. I feel that the balance between the neck and the body is not so bad, when I play this guitar standing.
@@nanta335 whew, thats good, i really want to get one, i love the early japan fusion and city pop sound of the 700 🥺
