You have a ton of support from us fans. I look forward to seeing you slaying 8,9 and 10 ball racks in tournaments again soon.

    This is heartbreaking to hear and view.... I met you last year 2021, at the BCA World championships.... very receptive, very professional. I have a lot of respect for you and everything you have done for pool not only in the U.K. but in the U.S. as well. You are a foundated player, a pillar in the community of pool not only on the Professional level but through out pool here in the U.S.
    I feel there will be some sort of a reprieve once all this nonsense is complete. In adding I believe as well that this will make you even stronger and more determined not only to get back where you were as far as you're ability as professional player, but within yourself.
    As far as the random drug testing goes it can be a nightmare, if anything I would think testing could be done before a tournament or right after. keep that chin up keep sharing who you are and what your about. You have a lot of people who care about you thru thick and thin...
    Love Your passion for the game, the knowledge you share all is priceless.....

    • @JohnDisque
      @JohnDisque 2 роки тому +2

      You have to walk in the shoes of the sponsors.
      It's not emotions... it's negative actions. No one likes to lose. No one likes to feel they're being unfairly targeted. The ability to control one's "actions" is professional or is what the sponsors of the pool-world are currently defining as "professional."
      Darren has a past of getting violent and while DeChaine probably had it coming there's really no excuse for violence - it crosses the line and makes him an unpredictable hothead. Due to THAT past I'm sure they were keeping an eye on him. Is it fair to Match Room, or any organization to be walking on eggshells?
      Is it fair for a sponsor to put their name and business reputation on a sport where the players cannot control thier "actions?"
      Is it fair to the players when the sponsors pull their money out and everyone makes less?
      Professionalism is: doing what's best for everyone and the sport itself. It's the understanding that it's not all about you.

    • @robdetuinman2
      @robdetuinman2 2 роки тому +1

      Oh bullsh*t! Everyone can be in a bad place when you just lost. Timing is everything and that goes for these drug tests too. Is it too much to ask? 15 minutes? I don't think so. He went to all involved and apologized profusely and they all accepted and understood. Then the fine is a percentage?? And on top of that there's Matchroom to punish him severely in his livelyhood?? It's ridiculous really.

    • @robdetuinman2
      @robdetuinman2 2 роки тому +1

      And then this. Let me first say I'm fine with drug testing, nobody wants another Armstrong after all. Here in the states you need one for most jobs. But take a look at those test centers. Check the gasstation next to these and you'll see a row of people waiting to warm up the pee they brought in the microwave.
      Unless they are on top of you and watch you take your pee very closely, it's very easy to pass the test. So what is a test like this really worth then?

    Good luck to you Darren. You set a great example here by letting all know you'll rise back up. Brave to have a talk like this publicly.
    Enjoy the fishing mate.. that's a go to for me too! Hang in there.

    That's brutal and I feel unjust as the WPA is the governing body and their punishment should have been enough. We are all human and no one likes to lose. Onward and upward thank you for sharing Apples, keep your your chin up and give 'em hell after August 1st.

    Best of Luck. If it was me, I would have done and spoke the exact same way you did and responded the same way. These testing people have gone too far and need to lighten up. Take care and see you down the road. Again, best of luck.

    Proud of ya pal. To say it was unjust punishment from Matchroom is an understatement!! You will be back stronger and more determined. Good luck and enjoy your fishing trips :)

    It looks so desperately unfair. It is very sad. I wish you the best with coping this ugly moment. Keep getting stronger no matter what and show us the strongest and perfect pool when it is time ❤️

    Sorry to hear that. The way I see it, Matchroom just cares about their ratings. They don’t care about the player. That’s all you hear from Matchroom. This will be good for TV. If this was on the TV table, you might be the guaranteed wildcard for Mosconi.

      Haha I think we know I’ll never get a wildcard that’s fine. I will do it the right way and qualify from ranking one day 😊

    Have always been a follower but after this I'm 100% a fan. I feel you I the tough spot in life. Depression is a b*tch. The biggest punishment is they are taking the one thing that is getting you back on track. It's been almost a year now but keep you're head up. Ignore the ass holes and focus on those that love you and support you.
