The Shanghai Dragons remind me of the 2004 Detroit Pistons lol. A lot of their players, like Fleta, Void, Izayaki, Fearless, and LeejaeGon were like "misfits" with either crazy play styles, or couldn't unlock their full potential, and couldn't gel with their former teams completely. But when you combine a bunch of talented misfits together, you get absolute madness that's hard to stop😂
Preview spoiled it for me but I've been thinking that considering where Danteh started on the Shock, he's been here seemingly every year in some capacity and now he's a solid Tank player for the Outlaws in possibly their best season yet, could Danteh be considered one of the OWL GOATs for his longevity?
Thinking Jjannu from Titans to Justice mainly. Um. Same with Stitch. Hotba from Charge (I think?) to NYXL.. And Gamgnamjin from Mayhem to NYXL unfortunately :( like NYXL and Justice in the past I feel like are where payers go to die lol
Gonna be honest, you have to give ivy credit where credit is due. The man benched EQO, possibly the best western flex dps at the time in a meta where eqo’s comfort pick of genji was a must pick
IM SO HYPE ! My boi Rascal getting the recognition he rightfully deserves (not that you weren’t giving it to him before) but this really did make my day. The whole video was great too with many old faces- helpful for keeping the history of the OWL alive!
Like the whole shanghai team (outside of Ljg and lip obviously) deserve a spot, I like the fact u don’t put all 4 of them in here. They all transformed into god.
About Izayaki: It was also confirmed by Custa that Izayaki had BIG problems with communication both on and off the stage since he spoke basically no English.
Another person I would definitely add to the list would certainly be Fleta, who was a mediocre player on a disappointing team on S1 & 2 Seoul, but absolutely flourished on Shanghai (no explanation needed). Totally forgot about Ivy, but he definitely was fantastic on Philly, compared to his time on Toronto Also unfortunate timing to have Rascal at the top lol
sometimes it’s not the player it’s simply the team and about whether you fit or not. you can be a great player but easily just not fit but join another team and wow instant change
You actually said something in this video i think would be another good video idea: Biggest "what ifs" in owl history (you mentioned in when talking about Rascal)
I feel like creative deserves some credit here as well. During season 4 a lot of people thought he was pretty washed and wasn't going to do well in season 5 if he even got to play. He did perform well on Seoul, but I think he's doing even better on Houston now. The thoughts on creative are so much more positive now than they were last season.
I wonder if there are enough OWL players to make a video about players who improved after leaving their initial OWL team, playing in Contenders, and reaching heights in a new OWL team.
Hey atp I just wanted to give you an idea. What about a series where you try and create a team out of contenders players. Come up with branding and such
Great contents. I'm really looking forward to see a video about the best coaches, just because a lot of the players you mentioned in this video played a lot better because of their coaches.
I mean the decay dallas thing blew up horribly and since then he never lived up to what he was supposed to be, i think he just brings a bad vibe to a team on the long run
@@bitcoin8872 Striker was world class, but couldn't fully realize his potential until he went to the shock. Soon's skill was more recognized after he left and he himself improved, but rest of the team couldn't keep up. Custa did play better, but his more notable skill set was recognized outside of the game as a good leader for the valiant. Not sure why they ever put kooky over custa.
If you wanna talk about players who played better after moving teams literally the entirety of Fuel last season. Jecse perhaps most of all showed a lot of improvement after playing for a struggling Outlaws roster, Sparkle was given a chance to play more and show more than just the Genji, Fearless and Hanbin were both solid tanks the previous season and somehow looked even better, Fielder mostly just not being on ping played better. Doha didnt switch teams but not being overshadowed by Decay was able to show a lot as well.
howd u get danteh but not smurf!? who had arguably the stronger glowup outta that trade: from an supplementary player on huston to the best dive tank in the world.

Getting into the league for the first time in the offseason going into season 4 I was an Outlaws fan, mostly because Joobi got signed there and I knew of him from contenders (plus I liked a good lucio onetrick) Ofc we all know how that went, ended up rooting for paris and atlanta after it became apparent Joobi was indeed getting permabenched for a DPS player on brig, but it made me a Danteh enjoyer. Truly hope the outlaws see some success before danteh retires, Man deserves it all.
Could we get a video on the origins of some player based OWL terms? (Fleta Deadlift, Snillo Line, AKM Blade, Poko Bomb, etc.)
Can't forget the classic Ajax.
nenne grav, ajax beat, and our newest addition, wub blade

Edison has to be talked about.
He was rightfully benched while his time on the Reign. But damn he really proved himself on the fuel this year.
That's because he had a very limited hero pool
Love the videos! You put so much time and work into them and they make my day better
Wow I totally forgot Hotba was on Charge in Season 2!
i feel like fleta is also a huge shout that wasn’t in the video
for. real.
That’s a definite one
Maybe a new video the opposite so players who got worse after joining a new team
Architect definitely on that list lol
Rapel too

Honorable mention to Edison, going from riding the bench with the up and down Atlanta Reign to starting for the top team in the league.
This comment aged fantastically.
Great video! Now I want to know the best “what could’ve been” signings, like how Shockwave hasn’t gotten a fair shake in years
Damn so many players from spitfire, season 1 spitfire was a team full of legends huh.

Wasn't Fearless on the 0-42 Shanghai roster? I'm surprised to not see him on here with how highly regarded he's been in the past two seasons
Well he went back to the Dragons, it wasn’t a new team
Fearless rejoined the Dragons and became one of the best in the league with them before he went to Dallas, so he doesn't really count.
1:34 I come home after school and check your channel every day. I love you bro
I’d love to see a best team on every map video just would be interesting to see ur opinions on the maps

Ooooh- Rascal in the thumbnail after Twitter happened today
What happened?
Am I missing something? Not sure what you mean.
Did something happen
a streamer posted screenshots of rascal sending hateful messages to him in chat but the tweet was deleted a few hours later
Rascal was being homophobic to bowie ow and told him to kill himself in summary
I feel like creative deserves some credit here as well. During season 4 a lot of people thought he was pretty washed and wasn't going to do well in season 5 if he even got to play. I think it's honestly just because its an Ana meta is why he looks better. His Bap and Zen are just ok albeit a few good moments here and there.
It's to early for him to choose creative, I want to see him outside of this meta
Ummm did the thumbnail just change? I swear I thought it was with Rascal
No fleta?
Yeah real talk
Fissure went on a helluva run after switch to gladiators
He was actually cracked and Jesus Christ he whipped the glads into top shape.
I remember he was the reason Surefour got to be so good at Widow.
I like how it's mostly the Kongdoo panthera players. Rascal, Birding, Void and Fissure.
Fleta not making the list is criminal. He literally became MVP after switching to Dragons.
i mean he was already nearly mvp level before switching
Congrats on 30k!!
I'm amazed at how many players glads have both fumbled and turned into superstars.
I would've thought SADO from season 2 to 3 would be here but then I remembered the list was after joining a new team haha

I thought fleta was gonna be the last
so sad that carpe never changed teams after so long he could finally have been a good player
i know he himself didnt improve all that much, but honorable mention to custa for leading the valiant out of that early 2018 AND 2019 slump
Not a Dallas fan but Fearless and Jecse should have been here
Ivy had top 3 zarya stats while being on one of the worst teams, he looked just as good on defiant as he did on fusion.
Great contents. I'm really looking forward to see a video about the best coaches, just because a lot of the players you mentioned in this video played a lot better because of their coaches.
This man's transition game is on point

decay dallas -> justice

what about striker from boston to sfs
From what I've heard most talent evaluation in the league is completely feels over reals. Most scouts have no idea what they're doing.
one day i hope fissure comes back to owl
Crimzo was great with Dallas too. Don’t be blinded by Moira, he was great all the time
i would love to see the inverse of this
My god I was going to rage if Rascal wasn't in it.
