    The reason your indexing is struggling is because your chain is about 3 links too long. Put chain on big ring front, big cog in the back(smallest gear) and 2-3 pins plus link. Depending what cassette you use b screw is between 5-12mm( you have a guide in your rear derailleur box to set up b screw) You current set up looks like it is set up at +20mm… Don’t worry what you learned or whatever your local mechanic told you, just do what i told you and you will be ok. Cheers.
    12 speed shimano has to be followed exactly how shimano explains it. Don’t play with it don’t try to make it better just follow directions or you will never and I mean never ever be able to get indexing right.

    What a fantastic build! I'm not super into metal frames, but the titanium frame looked stunningly good!
    However, I noticed the part where you were indexing the Shimano RD and saw that you were using a waxed chain. While you were spinning the wheel, it seemed like excess wax was flying everywhere, and some even stuck to the frame. I'm wondering if this is going to be a constant thing, or does the excess wax stop flying around after a while? I've been considering waxing my chain for some time now, but my friend who waxed theirs mentioned this problem, so I'm not too sure now haha...

    Hey Klein, (un)related question.
    These Ti Bikes may do something the "industry" does not want. Since technically a Ti frame is unbreakable, doesn't this mean that in the future (+20years) there will be a lot of these Ti frames around just like 90's steel MTB frames (or Track bikes converted to fixies by hipsters that somehow manage to create a whole esthetic around uncomfortable bikes ridden with super narrow tires on city streets)?
    Any thoughts?

    • @klein-concept
      @klein-concept  16 днів тому

      I hope so. Thats why i love titanium or steel. The durability and robustness is so much better. So if the technology allows to build even lighter metal frames for the weight weenies (like myself sometimes) we might get there 🤜🤛

    • @zeref783
      @zeref783 16 днів тому +3

      I believe until they get a lot cheaper you wont be seeing them even in 20 years from now as hipster esthetic bikes. But, we are also experiencing a titanium frame boost coming from China and Taiwan. Ora, TSB, Waltly and the one this frame is from are stepping up. Just look at the Eurobike that was held back in July.
      Non 3D/Molded frames are cheaper, but they dont look as good - hipsters do want the best looking bikes dont they :D

    • @klein-concept
      @klein-concept  16 днів тому +1

    51:30 Please DO NOT use copper paste with aluminium or titanium parts. Over time this will cause contact corrosion between those parts. Copper paste will probably accelerate the corrosion between aluminium and titanium.
    Copper paste is only suitable for iron on iron or high temperature environments.
    There are a lot of different anti seize pastes without copper, suitable for aluminium. I don’t even know why they still market this stuff for modern bikes…
    If you want to learn more about this topic, search for „electrochemical series“. The bigger the electrochemical difference between the used materials, the bigger the likelihood of corrosion between these parts in harsh conditions an over time. I hope this helps

    1:30 what do you mean no money involved? You got it for free and you don’t have to return it.

    • @klein-concept
      @klein-concept  16 днів тому

      @@ariffau interesting comment but let me explain. First of all it would be hard to make a review without getting the product to make the review on. And second sure you can always sell whatever you re reviewing but in the end except if you re reviewing maybe cars and would get a free car (which i guess doesnt happen) the value of the product would never cover the actual production cost. Like this video took 3 full days to film, 3 more days to edit and there is still a review coming. Value wise that will be WAY above the value of the frame itself.
      But yes what I ment was that there has not been any money involved. In terms of the regular common forms like cash, wire transfers or maybe these days any kind of crypto payments. Hope that makes sense.
