Definitely great idea putting new coil packs their good for about 75k & then they start to go one by one putting new packs in very good idea also empty the gas tank put new fuel filters better to be safe than sorry

Looking forward to this, as I have one. My Suggestions are Clean out fuel tank. New headlights. Front splitter. Paint calipers. Wickerbill spoiler. Rear window spoiler - the most aggressive is the Duraflex Brizio one for the later model, so needs customising. Rear diffuser. Exhaust with big tips. New hood. Starlight headliner. Coloured seatbelts. New stereo. Android Tv screens in head rests. Plus a Whipple supercharger to really draw in the viewers. Loads to mess around with. 👍

Nice find! Lowest connection that i remember is the heated seat control module under passenger seat mine was fried after a flood wouldn't let the car start because of the CAN connection. No other connectors under carpet.

6:43 - In the future remove the spark plugs first, spray fogging oil in the cylinders, then try to turn the engine over by hand. That will tell you quickly if the engine is locked up before going further. 12:12 - that rear fuse box doesn't have a harness plug? That sucks if you have to pin that whole thing. Hopefully no corrosion wicked up into the wires. Good job so far, I'm rooting for ya! 🏆😎💪

You got the oil and trans fluids but don't forget the rear diff. Idk about mopars but many diffs are vented so it could be filled with water. Drive it like that and it'll be done.

You’ll flush the brake fluid as part of your routine maintenance. I just didn’t wanna see you guys accidentally cook that (I suppose) limited slip diff driving it full of water. Im pretty sure that filter you pulled out from the compartment under the windshield is the cabin air filter. The actual engine air filter should be connected to the that Injen intake tube in the front, connected to the throttle body.
Looks good so far. Check the grounds leading into the cabin for corrosion. Definitely make sure to get the new fuse box on correctly, these can be very annoying. Can’t wait to see the pursuit mods
Was definitely best to go over & check/change everything! My 17 392 was flood as well and the rear fuse box was fried and had to be completely replaced along with new relays, it was fine afterwards. For whatever reason I’m thinking this SRT8 will end up being even better than the infamous RT Pursuit WB 🔥🔥🔥
Oh wow, flood damage can be scary. Looks like you might have gotten lucky here, as the damage doesn’t seem too bad. The corrosion on the underside might need a closer look, but it doesn’t look like a deal breaker. The fluids looked great when you drained them, with no metallic bits (*whew*). The harness definitely needs inspecting, and make sure you get a look under the carpets and check the HVAC for mold (notice any funny smells?) So unbelievably cool the previous owner saw the video and reached out! If you make shirts/merch for this car, definitely send him one! How funny would it be if he won it back? 😂 This is going to be a fun build. Maybe do a Challenger at some point in the near future, as the MOPAR crowd are already paying attention. @ A Challenger would not be inappropriate - nor would a Viper, now that I think about it. And you can pick up early Vipers quite cheaply. 😁 As a converted import guy, my personal preference is Nissan Z or Lexus builds, but I’ll watch anything. I’ve had a zillion cars and have pretty much switched to Japanese brands. You are definitely attracting the American muscle car demographic now though! Just keep having fun with your dad and doing whatever feels right! 😁
next you should remove the back seats and check the fuel and the pump if any sign of water got into there and check the wirings especially through the door or any low spots if it has carbon built up or rust, wish all you the best and keep up the good work and good luck.
The wiring harness in the rear needs to be replaced. That corrosion you see in the fuse box is inside the wires. It will cause long term problems if not replaced... Good job on getting that Badass car!
It’s actually insane the previous owner seen his old car on yt. That’s cool! So far so good it seems like the only water damage was the electrical and not engine or transmission. 👍 🤞

Awesome ABC《☆》Y'all got the MIDAS touch with these Auction cars👍🏾🍔🤳Lots of great suggestions in the comments. The only other thing I can think of is with it being an 08 model is having the older problematic Cylinder heads unless they've been upgraded. Would check the rest of the wiring much sure they didn’t try to start it. water will travel through the wire see it all the time in the shop. just had one in the shop the other day for the power lift gate module
If your car doesn’t start after you replaced the rear fuse box you will probably have a blown fusible link, my 06 300c srt8 had a short and i was going crazy, replaced battery, alternator, pcm, starter and it didn’t want to start, and ended up that the fusible link wire at the bottom harness by alternator was toasted. Replaced and car started right away.

Hey... not subscribed, but i would definitely look at unbolting all of the ground wires in your trunk and cleaning them up. I see rust, and that could affect your connection for ground. Good grab, i have to say. Nice looking car!
if i am correct all you need to get mopar parts ordered from factory is a title to a mopar car, so for the fuse box if you cant find one take it to a dealership and they will order one for you
Thanks for the forecast! I have a quick question: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
You can rotate the engine at the crank with a breaker bar and socket since you already have the plugs out. If it doesn't rotate the engine is locked up. If the engine does rotate and water is present enjoy the show. Clean all those ground points in the trunk and replace bolts. Replace 12v battery while replacing rear fuse box. After replacing the fuse box and the doors unlock and cluster/gauges turn on you should be in good hands. Do not say body harness!
Considering that this is a flood car, research how many electronic modules, their purpose and their locations. Then check the connectors for corrosion or damage. Ensure that all engine and body grounds are clean with zero corrosion. Good luck to you!

BOY!!! If you got this thing at $2900 and it indeed has no water in the block or any water damage in the block itself you really came out with a STEAL! Coming from someone that hydrolocked his 6.1 this past June it's looking pretty promising. Oil looked solid. Plugs looked solid. I can't wait to see the next upload.
Depending on how deep you want to get into it, I’d replace the cam, lifters and timing chain but it really depends on if it was abused in the past. Mine recently hit 300,000 miles and still going strong

WD40 is your greatest friend. Believe it or not it works wonders with electrical parts. I work as a heavy equipment mechanic and a lot of our equipment deals with rust and corrosion especially our scissor lifts. Not 100% sure how long that rear fuse box was under water but as long as it wasn't too long you hopefully will be ok soaking everything in wd40. The fuses and box you can easily replace, you don't want the corrosion eating its way into the wiring, that's when the problems with power distribution occur. Soak it heavily in WD now while you wait on the box and fuses to arrive that way it should prevent any further rust penetrating into your harness. 👍 The fluid in rear diff & bore scoping the cylinders like others mentioned are great ideas.

I hope you keep the red color and not wrapping the car. 392 swap it. That motor doesn’t have that much life left. They are notorious for dropping value seats. Starlight roof, carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser, new screen, exhaust Borla or Corsa, fix the front bumper paint, new tires keep the rims, new steering wheel. I’m sure whatever you do it will be great. Definitely 392 swap! 😂

If your car doesn’t start after you replaced the rear fuse box you will probably have a blown fusible link, my 06 300c srt8 had a short and i was going crazy, replaced battery, alternator, pcm, starter and it didn’t want to start, and ended up that the fusible link wire at the bottom harness by alternator was toasted. Replaced and car started right away.

Hey... not subscribed, but i would definitely look at unbolting all of the ground wires in your trunk and cleaning them up. I see rust, and that could affect your connection for ground. Good grab, i have to say. Nice looking car!

if i am correct all you need to get mopar parts ordered from factory is a title to a mopar car, so for the fuse box if you cant find one take it to a dealership and they will order one for you

You can rotate the engine at the crank with a breaker bar and socket since you already have the plugs out. If it doesn't rotate the engine is locked up. If the engine does rotate and water is present enjoy the show. Clean all those ground points in the trunk and replace bolts. Replace 12v battery while replacing rear fuse box. After replacing the fuse box and the doors unlock and cluster/gauges turn on you should be in good hands. Do not say body harness!

Considering that this is a flood car, research how many electronic modules, their purpose and their locations. Then check the connectors for corrosion or damage. Ensure that all engine and body grounds are clean with zero corrosion. Good luck to you!

BOY!!! If you got this thing at $2900 and it indeed has no water in the block or any water damage in the block itself you really came out with a STEAL! Coming from someone that hydrolocked his 6.1 this past June it's looking pretty promising. Oil looked solid. Plugs looked solid. I can't wait to see the next upload.

Depending on how deep you want to get into it, I’d replace the cam, lifters and timing chain but it really depends on if it was abused in the past. Mine recently hit 300,000 miles and still going strong

WD40 is your greatest friend. Believe it or not it works wonders with electrical parts.
I work as a heavy equipment mechanic and a lot of our equipment deals with rust and corrosion especially our scissor lifts. Not 100% sure how long that rear fuse box was under water but as long as it wasn't too long you hopefully will be ok soaking everything in wd40. The fuses and box you can easily replace, you don't want the corrosion eating its way into the wiring, that's when the problems with power distribution occur. Soak it heavily in WD now while you wait on the box and fuses to arrive that way it should prevent any further rust penetrating into your harness. 👍
The fluid in rear diff & bore scoping the cylinders like others mentioned are great ideas.

Yup pretty much. If it doesn’t have power they’ll just mark it as mechanical unless there are very clear signs and history of something else like flood damage

@ just take the seats out than remove the carpet with the middle console and the trim on the inside then just disconnect the body harness most of the disconnections are gonna be under the dash but it’s not hard at all

I hope you keep the red color and not wrapping the car. 392 swap it. That motor doesn’t have that much life left. They are notorious for dropping value seats. Starlight roof, carbon fiber front lip and rear diffuser, new screen, exhaust Borla or Corsa, fix the front bumper paint, new tires keep the rims, new steering wheel. I’m sure whatever you do it will be great. Definitely 392 swap! 😂
