I had no idea either just saw it on Facebook as someone was selling their ticket. I think Brompton arranges it every year and there’s a ballot for tickets. Only 100 spaces normally. It was fun and so nice to see so many Brompton people lol
@@bobalinga I got the vincita nash back rack one. Although worried it is not going to be big enough but it might force me to take less stuff. Just realised they do a bigger one. Ah well. Will try it out
@@darinjgraham one of the people on the Brompton New Forest camp had one. The Big Nash. She put her tent on top as that seemed to work pretty well. I'm considering it as it clips on so no trying to tie on a rucksack and the resulting wobbles.
Considering you were out of breath on the first lap, you maintained pretty consistent lap times. Lap 2 good reflexes avoiding that guy on the corner ! Be interested to know what the ultimate winning time was. Nicely made video , I enjoyed the tunes too.
According to my watch, my peak was the straight with the ramp, hitting 30km/h. Average lap 28km/h. Fastest lap was 28.7. Need to up it next year if I do it again! I was a little hungover for this as well and I should’ve practiced sprinting. Average heart rate 128. It was such a great race though and a really fun experience
@@darinjgraham Thanks, no worries as the saying goes. 🙂I can't imagine what would make suitable music for a cycling documentary. I just like the sound of whirring freewheels! I'm 75 and I've been cycling since I was about 10 - maybe I should try a Brompton. I like the look of them and the idea behind them - but it would have to have drop handlebars, I can't get along with straights - I like the change of hand positions that drops permit.
Great video
Well done
So cool you did this.
Great video! Looks like a fun day out 😊
Was a bit wild but hope it comes back again next year
Wow! I did not know this was whats goin on down the apartment! Awesome event!
It was very quirky. They do it every year. Not sure if it will be there next year or at another location
I’d never heard of this race, well done. Looks an interesting part of London too..

Потрясающе!
Fantastic video. I was right behind you near the end of the race on the day. Just didn’t have your speed. Brilliant.
thank you, I was out of breath after the first lap lol. Did you enjoy the race?
All that bike touring paid off cracking race
thank you, it was a fun day. Looking forward to next year.
Except job !
Thanks, was a tough one.
A great day. |Nice to meet you as well.
You too. Hope
Your next trip goes well. Plus let me know how you get on with luggage/packing! I’m gonna try my new back rack bag soon
@@darinjgraham what did you get?

@@bobalinga yeah same that’s what I was thinking re the clip. Oh that’s good to know. Did think maybe I could strap things like my tent on top of it
Great event to watch . I went with my daughter, and am now tempted to buy a Brompton for next years event 😅
Haha. I just thought it was gonna make my commute a bit easier. Little did I know I’d be going to things like this!

Would be good to know, I wish they would publish the results online or something!
And the average speed.
Cool! What was your speed - peak, average?

It was amazing to be around so many other owners but alas no medal but I’ve got the t shirt.
Wish I got one!
Yes! This was my 6th BWC and was expecting a medal to add to the collection.
I thought that the heats were way to short and the unfold time heavily influenced the end result.
Yeah I’m so slow at unfolding. If I rush I just mess it up. I bet they’ll change up the race/improve on it next year
Shame about the irritating 'music' with this clip!
Sorry but that, just experimenting
