Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. I always love seeing how folks fit all their gear on to the Brompton for touring, and also where people find to camp during the winter season. I wish all the campsites would stay open during winter!
Same here. Surprised how many are shut but then again most people don’t go camping in tents over winter I guess. Always a challenge packing the gear. I have a new bag to try on the next one so will see how that goes.
Great trip Darin, nothing worse than being cold so the new bag will serve you well 👍 I also have a Brompton but as of yet I haven’t used for Bikepacking as I use my gravel or MTB. I prefer the wild camp option over sites but that’s just me. The bushbox is great for the colder nights tho 👍 atb Dave
Hi Dave, thanks for the message. I am getting into wild camping. Nervous the first few times but now I figure...well it's dark so whose gonna come and interfere. I think it can take time to grow your wildcamp confidence
Good camping equipment is always worth the investment, just compare it to the cost of a night in a hotel and the gear will pay for itself in no time! Great trip reports!
Thanks for sharing Darin, the new toys look good and should serve you well for a long time to come. I look forward to the Loch Ness film. I cycled past it one summer so will be interesting to see it in the winter.
I love your videos, they are really great !! you are lucky to have those camping sites in the UK. Here in Spain, the only way it is to go camping... it is exciting though. Would it be possible to know what equipment you are using for filming? many thanks
Hi! I use the DJI Osmo action 4 camera and DJI Mini 4 Pro drone. Oh I didn't realise that about camping in Spain. I love a campsite as there's often a shower and I love my shower in the morning. Lots of people prefer wildcamping I think!
Nice little film of your adventure. Winter nights in a tent can be so long as it gets dark so early. That bag looked very cosy. Enjoyed your coverage of the red kite reintroduction story - something I had involvement with during my career. Sometimes the background music was a bit intrusive IMO, as I struggled to hear what you were saying. I’d prefer more natural sounds & less and quieter, music. Thanks for making the film.
Hello, thank you for your kind comment. I was completely surprised by the large amount I saw. A lovely site seeing them soar up above. Thank you for the note about the background music. I will definitely bare that in mind on the next one.

That is so true. And I’ll use it all over and over again.
A great video. Nice and relaxing. As others have said good equipment pays dividends.
Thank you!
That’s a great bag, look forward to seeing your winter adventures ⚽️
Thank you. I love your channel!
Birds of prey won’t attack you….nothing to be scared of, enjoy their magnificence 😊

Thank you. A bit nervous about it but let’s hope it all goes ok.
Excellent. Well done for getting out in the cold.
Thank you. Was ok with the fire. I’m off to Scotland tomorrow and I think that that trip is going to be the true test
@darinjgraham good luck. Will look forward to the video

Nice little adventure in the Chilterns. Look forward to the next one. Will you or won't you catch a glimpse of Nessie, the Loch Ness monster?!
Haha will have to see. I have never been to Loch Ness before so it will be a true adventure for me
Great video. My 3 season bag is 1.1 kg then I add a liner (synthetic as i don't use down). I like the bushbox.
It’s light and easy to use. Keen to try it with twigs etc next time.
Another nice video really enjoying your content.
Thanks Keith for the kind comment.

I always use walking mode on Google maps when riding my bike. You won't catch me being whizzed by within an inch of my life.
I never thought of doing that tbh. Does it give you routes you wouldn't get on the cycling mode? I bet there are some handy paths it recommends.
Carry a couple of pairs of surgical gloves, they are great to keep the oil of your hands.
Great idea. Thank you! I will def be taking a pair along next time
