I was first introduced to the French Air Force during my deployment to Afghanistan. They provided my Unit with air support missions and saved our butts twice by raining steel punishment on the Taliban.

The Rafale is just amazing, and the french pilots who fly the displays always manage to leave a superb impression. It is obviously a capable airframe, given that it is used sucessfully for omirole-tasks, across several branches. Lastly, being swedish, I also have to admit that I find the Rafale the best looking out of the eurocanards, by far.
This video series is making me want to join the French Air Force/Navy, and I'm not even French.
The Rafale is a very elegant fighterplain. She's such a beauty!

I live in a small village in France. There are regular military planes, including rafales, which pass over my house for military exercises. Every time I hear them coming I run to the window to watch them, it's awesome.

I wish our boys & girls in the RAF would be allowed to put together similar footage with our Typhoons - it'll be a long time before we have Navy aircraft plus the fact that compared to Rafale, the F-35 is as ugly as sin! :)
