It is like a breath of fresh air when African North Americans produce a film about us. Keeping it funny, dark, and "REAL," the show is destined to become a Hit and, in time, Iconic.
I loved the show, and outside of gritty urban environments and black surrealism, i don't see the why everyone feels obligated to compare the two shows. Completely different characters and scenarios. Im from the bay, and be in LA, so i relate to the Vince Staples show in ways I don't relate to Atlanta.
Definitely think it’s the black surrealism that links the two in my mind. But at the same time I never compared insecure or any show to atl so idk bout that either. I hope it gets renewed for season 2 so we can see him in other situations. I appreciate you watchin bro
I honestly did feel bad for White Boy, but the little boy seeing Vince in the commercial is honestly giving the idea of the kid getting his revenge on Vince. Just like how people wanted a second Kill Bill with the little girl getting revenge for the mc killing her mother
@_FLWRS 🤣🤣🤣 on bro thank for the like man I like your brakedowns keep doing you and if you wanna check out my music I'll link it if you want no pressure 💯
This is fire content as always, you noticed some details I missed. The similarities between VSS and Atlanta are definitely there, except Vince probably parallels Paper Boi more than Earn. With that in mind, VSS kinda feels like Atlanta, if it were “The Paper Boi Show”. That is not a complaint either! Hope there’s a S2.
And you know Netflix is notorious for not letting shows have enough time to flesh out characters etc. With that being said....I loved the show. It's creative, insightful and funny. The jail scenes with dude singing. Wow!! I hope they can get another season or even more. This show can certainly go far I think. Love Vince's music as well. I thought he did great acting. When I see him in interviews....he has so much character and is generally funny. I am not surprised at how good he was in the series. Great video...and I've never seen your content....will be checking out more vids....and I am now subscribed! Well done!
Just finished watching it i can confidently say its a great show and the ending of episode 5 was so gutstriking 2 is my favorite episode its the perfect mix of a hilarious Saturday morning cartoon with a rapper and good writing
It’s dope watching Vince come from the mini YT series to a full length project. I see you with lining up your videos to be in their own universe as well. Pretty solid idea I think. Vince is a good actor and I think he’ll only get better. He’s becoming more natural as he lands roles. A bit rigid but it’s working out.
0:44 yeah we need more eps before we judge it it's still early Atlanta could br its own thing this could be completely different but similar but ofc it might be both are about the black experience
I personally loved the show and I think he is a great actor. I didn't realize when watching the show that the uncle is OJ. Great insight as always. Your content is amazing.
I personally loved it, white boy was such a absurd and weird episode that was fucking sobering at the end. Vince said he took some inspiration from David Lynch which I think I can see in bits like the Red Door's chicken shop, I enjoy the sort of absurd humor in being in a horrifying situation but outwardly acting like its not out of the norm. The bit where he gets like 2 packets of sauces complains and then the cashier just wordlessly dumps the whole bucket killed me lmao. With the announcement that the show got renewed for a season 2, I hope gets more episodes to expand.
Everything in Vince show is very accurate to a normal day in the hood and that the craziest part how desensitize to violence & crimes.. our aggression can cause us to get into fist fights in random places.. I done been on the train and fought someone staring at me for took long.. can come outside for one thing and end up in some whole other mess
I may not be the person to ask lol I’m still gettin things off the ground here. But I’d say the best thing you can do is start and be consistent. You don’t have to have it all figured out on the first video or even the tenth. Find a niche you know about and enjoy researching. Plan videos out weeks ahead so you can have a life outside of this. Invest in a computer that won’t explode when using editing software. Hope this helps!
So I feel like it's the same cinematic universe for kne reason: the real estate lady in the first episode. I believe that is sis from the last episode of Atlanta. The one that got pulled over by the police.
"Kapow Pops" is crazy 🙃🤣
With context, its diabolical lmfaoo
wish it was longer but it was honestly ok and quick fun. love the review
I appreciate you watchin
Vince staples very good actor 👏
The last episode he dressed as Vincent from Pulp Fiction with the blue shorts
Good catch!

Literally just cuz the only black surrealism shows out there are this and Atlanta. If there are any more about people don't know of them
@@crasyman101 flwrs just mentioned one above, insecure.
Im glad it’s getting renewed. I feel like it can only get better now
I like it. To me, it’s like a mix of Atlanta and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Definitely closer to if paper boi was the main character in a different setting. I appreciate you watchin as always g

what mini series?
@@hurtabdul he has songs attached to a mini series he did on YT. So what? Was one of them I believe.
definitely can't pause an online game. Good video bro

finished the show in one night. it was a great show and really funny. red door was probably my favourite.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully season 3 comes out soon
3 and 4 were my favorite by far

"Episode 4: The Red Door, bars"🤣😂
I feel like we need 5 episodes at a time till they get to about 20 then be done
Shit too funny
Road to 3k ma boi🔥🔥🔥
I appreciate that! Let’s go
I hope they get to run it back👍👍👍
They got renewed for season 2!
I do hope there’s a Season 2
Oh and yes...there were so many references....the Kill Bill moments....fire!
Apparently there were more Tarantino references I missed
I still need to start atlanta forgot this came out gonna watch it today
Episode 1 was good a great introduction to this show as he navigates prison and some hilarious jokes especially that nightmares joke
Episode 2 was done of the best tv I've watched in a long time it went from regular to funny to too cartoony but it made up for it in comedy
Episode 3 the most mid to me yet it was entertaining but not as funny as episode w
2
4 was still quite good
5 was amazing especially the endingg
I get Atl vibes watching this
great video fam!
Appreciate it bro!
Season 2 is happening and will be 10 episodes lets go!!!
I’m pretty sure I saw a pulp fiction reference in the last episode
you can not pause an online game... that was hard fam
9:45 favorite clip😂
He meant that sincerely too lmfao
It was entertaining but left way too many questions. Like what picture did he find and take from the bank office? Who was white boy? Etc
The Uncle that he’s talking about is Herschel Walker clearly
I definitely need something to check out, so I'll have to do that soon and see.
Was the outfit from the end of episode 5 a pulp fiction reference?
Green light for season 2 babbyyy🎉
Season 2 confirmed.
C'mon DEJA!! Lol

Now I gotta go check
What hood is From 🤔✌🏾☝🏾 Insane or 20♿️ He got on Neighbourhood Hat 🧢 In the video
Tbh, I loved the show. It reminded me of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but a black version.
That’s a great comparison
Oh simpson
Staples
I appreciate you comin through
Good video Bruh 🫡
Thanks 💯
Who was the uncle ?
OJ Simpson
It is not as good as Atlanta. Atlanta is Goated
Vince staples is not a good actor at all. Show was mid too
Ay everyone’s opinions are welcome here
It wasn't long enough. Massive potential for me it's like a mix of Atlanta and Dave. Helps that I'm a huge Vince Staples fan.
Bro is there something wrong with the system? I keep subscribing and UA-cam unsubscribes me
I’ve noticed my subs fluctuating a bit
