  • This is a simple, clean way to maintain okra throughout the growing season. This pruning tradition was handed down to us by an old farmer. Be it fact or fable, it has proved to work for us. Our crops increased by 100% by trimming Okra this way. For this reason, we have continued to use this method year after year. We would like to share it with you.
    Check out our new updated Okra video that includes tips and side by side plant comparisons for faster fruit production.

    When my mom & dad had their garden, that's how they cut and trimed their okra. That's the way I've always harvested my okra, and believe me , it kept growing, and giving all summer long and into early fall.

    hi. great tip. If I want to plant Okra in a pot, what is the smallest pot i can go to?. I used to grow them for several years on the ground with excellent yields, and now no longer want to mess with annual clean up and back breaking work. Any recommendations appreciated. Thanks.

    • @RoosterHoller
      @RoosterHoller  3 місяці тому +2

      Hidden in the creation of the Bonsi plant resides our answer. The smaller the pot equals a smaller plant.
      The production of the plants' fruit will follow the same bonsi rule.
      May this information bless your garden.

    Can it grow longer then 1 year?

    • @RoosterHoller
      @RoosterHoller  3 місяці тому +1

      We have never tested Okra to grow longer than a year. This is due to the fact that our garden resides in a climate that only lasts four to five months. We do not have data to provide for use in a solution beyond this time frame.
      Nevertheless, my experiences combined over time throughout multiple climates provide me with an opinion.
      If you would like my opinion it is as follows.
      Yes. The Okra plant will grow as long as its current climate stays above freezing conditions. If the temperature drops too and or below freezing, the plant will die and need to rebirth.
      Thank you for your assistance in tending the life that feeds us.

    What type of okra do you grow?

    • @RoosterHoller
      @RoosterHoller  3 місяці тому +1

      We are not sure what kind it is.
      We realize this is not productive for mass production or resale. We apologize for this.
      With that being said.
      The method taught here will spand all types
      Just like in the realm of society, we see all the tongues of people. One this way, one the next. When we zoom out all the way, we only see humans on all on the earth. No difference others than male and female.
      If you pocess seed of any kind. Plant it.
      If it is not planted out of love, you will not bear fruit. Love must be in our planting, by actions.not out of lips. Only by demonstration.
      When there is no love in our gardening skills, we will produce no fruit.
      It is our most important agenda to make sure you are successful.
      Peace, we follow.

    It sure would have been helpful if you had actually trimmed it so we could have seen it done.Judt seeing it after you do it does not help. You said cut the limb when you cut the okra off.

      Thank you for taking the time to speak to us about what you have seen in us.

    If old okra getting too tall but has a new branch below, should cut the the old okra above the branch ?

    • @RoosterHoller
      @RoosterHoller  3 місяці тому

      Cut the Okra that is above the branch and cut the new branch below it. Any new growth below can continue to be cut going forward.
      Thank you for asking. Please let us know
      how this works for you in a few weeks.
      Thank you! 😊 for helping us tend the life that feeds the world.
