Duxford to Blackpool (25.09.23)

Highlights of our flight ftom Duxford to Backpool on 25th September 2023.
To avoid retracing our steps from the outbound journey we routed to Fenland then Netherthorpe before going round the East and North of Manchester's airspace. Once that was no longer a factor we went direct to Southport Pier and joined left base for runway 28 at Blackpool.
Our route took us right between Barkston Heath and Cranwell. We were getting a basic service from Waddington Zone (the controller was very cheery and helpful). I'd anticipated needed a MATZ transit but the weather was very kind and we were easily able to keep above the CMATZ.
The aircraft is G-HIGA, a Cessna 172P ftom High-G at Blackpool.
