That piece is from the Promises album that Sam and Pharoah Sanders collaborated on shortly before he died in 2022. The footage in the clip must be rehearsals for the only live performance of that album at the Hollywood Bowl with Shabaka Hutchings playing saxophone. Wish they had done more shows, I love that album
Floating Points is an amazing artist, personally though I think Crush was better than Promises, completely different works of course but Crush delivered more, I would very much assume it was an album that made people open their eyes for Floating Points

Yes, personally, I like Crush more too, but it’s hard to compare them as these two are probably for two different audiences.

They worked together in the night club called Plastic People. And they perform together from time to time. ☺️
