- Day 7 of our Ambassador Ambience cruise and we visited Belfast. We had previously visited the city on our second ever cruise on Marella Explorer. We had prebooked tickets for the Titanic Experience directly and had to make our own way following the Titanic Trail in the city. Back onboard Ambience we dined in the onboard speciality restaurant, Sea & Grass, which offers a 7 course meal! However things did not go to plan. Our Sea & Grass meal was gifted to us by Ambassador. During the evening we had a Soul and Motown production in the Palladium Theatre and the show cast also did a set in the Observatory Lounge!

Ambassador is Britains newest cruise line and we took the opportunity to sail with them in April 2023.Ambassador market themselves as Britain’s premium value no-fly cruise line who sail from 8 regional UK ports. Ambassador Ambience sailed around the British Isles and we were onboard for 11 nights. Ambassador Cruise Line currently has two ships in operation Ambience and Ambition.
We are Tom and Dom and we experienced our first cruise on the MSC Virtuosa during her UK staycation cruises in 2021. We are relatively new to cruising, however we can now say we are officially hooked.
Our mission is provide a fair and balanced review of our travels. We look at the types of food that is available onboard, from main dining rooms, room service, buffets and pool side snacks. We include menus for each of cruises so that we can share the selection of drinks and meals that are available. Entertainment onboard a cruise ship is important to us and we enjoy theatre production shows, live music, quizzes and game shows. We love to explore different ports and destinations and enjoy sharing tips and tricks so that you can make the most of each port. We often explore ports independently but also book excursions that are interesting to us.
We have created a list of our cruise essentials. These are items we take with us when we travel and we hope they may be useful to you. We have also added a Wine list which contains some of the wines we have tried whilst cruising.

Your video has answered my question of how to get to the Titanic museum from the port. We have early tickets for the museum,can you remember how early was you able to disembark the ship please?

I totally agree with you guys about Sea and Grass and asked to meet the chef the following day. I said the ‘smoke’ smelt of burnt newspaper, the steaks were BOTH horrid and I explained that the bearnaise sauce WASNT - just butter with herbs. As we went early on (ie before you) they’d not changed anything it seems before you went - very disappointing! (Excellent review though)
Next time we are onboard we will try to go again and hopefully see that things have improved

Thanks for your vlogs guys - very detailed and expertly presented. We opted not to use Sea and Grass on our cruise in March. Seems a bit mercenary but when you factor in the fact that you are giving up a 5 or 6 course mean in the Buckingham Restaurant that you have already paid for, the added cost in Sea and Grass looks excessive? Judging by the small portions you were given, the paper smoke and a piece of steak that Harvester would reject it begs the question…why would you? The lack of patronage in there kind of speaks for itself!
The food in the main dining room was superb and plenty to choose from! 😀 Most courses in the Sea and Grass were tasty it was just the main that let us down! Hopefully they will improve the experience 😀
Ribeye is great when it's well / really well done. Would never have it anything less due to the fat content.

We thought the same about the bearnaise sauce and commented on it to the chef. Our steaks weren’t nearly as fatty as yours but it was my least favourite course of a great meal. Love your vlogs bringing back a lot of great memories.
Hopefully they will get it sorted out! The main was the biggest let down for us as well, we throughly enjoyed all the other courses! Thank you we really appreciate it😀
@@TomandDomTravel I think I'll save the extra £75 it will cost for the three of us when we go soon, and just eat at the Buckingham instead. Would you recommend the Indian inspired restaurant though?
