I can't tell you how excited I am to finally own a KitchenAid stand mixer and look forward to exploring countless new recipes with it in the future! We tested kneading pizza doughs, as well as whipping cream so far and are happy with the results.
This particular KitchenAid Artisan model comes in over 20 colors to perfectly match your kitchen design. The "honey" color we got does not 100% match our kitchen design, but it was on sale at a 50% discount 😅

When making pizza dough, my Artisan 5 Quart Mixer can easily handle up to 800g flour + 500ml water (that's around 1.8lb flour + 2cups water). When putting in more, I don't feel comfortable watching the mixer work, as it seems to struggle and gets rather hot after 15min. I suggest you go for the big 7qt mixer, if you want to prep big batches.

I love that color! Of course, they are ALL beautiful, but half the fun is seeing what color people pick. I make covers for them with a matching slider mat. Its really important to protect them from everything from dust to everything else! I use vinyl & fabric so you protect without hiding your beautiful mixer; i wanted to be able to SEE mine! Let me know if youd like to have one. Congratulations on getting the king of all mixers! Lol

does the whisk attachments reach all the way to the bottom of the bowl?
Pretty close to it out of the box. There s also a screw which you can turn to lower it further, but shouldn t make any contact with the bowl I think.
Is this a standard size or mini please...so tempted, great colour too😊
My tilt-head Artisan size can be considered standard, I guess. It is the one with a 4.8L bowl. There is a smaller tilt-head one that comes with a 3.3L bowl and bigger “bowl-lift” ones with 5.7L and more.
Also, this new Artisan series has a slightly stronger engine than the Classic.
I suggest you get the right size for your need. Batch sizes each model can handle vary strongly. Mine could handle doughs with 500g flour and 300ml water easily, but beyond that it seems to struggle a bit.

The metal dust honestly sounds like a huge issue. I'm surprised you just removed it and continued. The dough is probably not safe.
It might have been the coating, happened only during the first application with the dough attachment. Haven t noticed it anymore afterwards.
