I am from mustang and two of my closely related grandfather were khampa guerrilla during that time. They past away a few years ago. They used to tell every story about how they escape from tibet at the age of 16 and how they struggle fighting with chinese forces. I was a child at that time so I didn’t pay much attention but I regretted it now. They also show me the ruin of khampa settlement near my village. I hope one day tibet will have its own land. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
As much as I wish Tibet to be independent; its impossible. Because I was also taught how China captured Tibet and all these things since childhood. But as soon as I started interacting with Tibetans from Tibet; I was very much shocked realizing they are nothing different from other Chinese and don't want independence. I was initially shocked by how much they love Mao. But then I thought from this angle:
Even 75 year old grandpa from Tibet was 2 yr old when this happened and which means he grew up in China controlled Tibet singing Chinese national anthem and reading history written by Communist China . Youngsters are even more patriot towards China specially those who works in cities like Beijing, Chongqing etc.

Penpa Tsering "named guy" was detained at the behest of Chinese authorities. Not the same guy, thankfully the guy who got detained was American or Canadian citizen. Now one would only wonder why he was detained in the first place. China also occupied a remote village of Nepal in 2020, hopefully this is not forgotten.

Nepal was also a tributary under the treaty of Betrawati but it remained only for namesake as Chinese intrests were not beyond Himalayas.

Okay so i found out THT had covered that story in 2019.
This guy was denied entry in Nepal cuz authorities thought him to be a seperatist activist who was in the wanted list by Chinese authorities.
It was a mistake in the part of Nepali authorities.
But would it be wrong in the part of Nepal to deport him if he actually was a seperatist activist??

very well researched and to the point! Tibet king has married Nepali princess BRIKUTI, so by relationship, Nepal & Tibet has very strong past relationship. Brikuti is considered as living goddess in Tibet and still prayed by Tibetan in tibet in todays date. The only sad thing is Tibet was illegally occupied and those western countries used Tibetan for their own benefits. The main reason many khampas committed suicide is because Dalai lama asked them to surrender and they treat him like god. At the same time, they also love their country deeply , so they couldnt bear the pain and committed suicide. Khampas warrior are very brave people like gorkhas of Nepal. They didnt surrendered because of fear, they did coz of pain and hopelessness they felt that time. In this video, everything is correct except Tibet map was shown incorrectly coz real tibet map is way bigger than this , the one shown is newly made by China few decade ago. It is same like how India used nepal place like kalapani in their map and how china use tawang, north east region in their map despite being its still under India. With these powerful neigbhour only poor, weak and innocent are only killed and crushed. Rest is history!

Nepal is land of God . It should be clean. High no of youth are working in Gulf countries to support their family. I remember i said to our local driver in phokara , people from all over the world visit Nepal . Why govt is not making proper road? Half of the Nepali sale there ancestors land for lively wood. WHEN I WAS SMALL AROuND 90S, IN NEPALI BOOK, TIBET IS A NEPAL COUNTRY , TIBET NEPAL KO CHIMEKI DESHI BANERA LEKHEKO THYO, AFTER king was killed , all book got changed. So look at pattern, it clearly shows how china influence even nepali school book and history. There are so many storied in nepal social studies book, nepali kitaab stories about tibet and nepal but now u wont see single page.

नेपालले विगतमा तिब्बतमा आक्रमण गरे पनि चीनले त्यहाँ सेना पठाएर तिब्बत अलग हुन दिएनन्।

Tibetan has been refugees since 1960 to lots of countries but only Nepal is the one who doesn’t give democracy to Tibetan refugees because Nepal government itself is an refugees under Chinese government.
Look at others countries where Tibetan freely protest on 10 March and celebrate His Holiness birthday but in Nepal it’s impossible because of Nepal’s under Chinese government.
They can shift to those countries if they feel their voices are heard and addressed there.
As long as i know, they have been living well off here but they have no obligations to keep staying in Nepal if they feel violated in this land.
It's similar as allowing a Khalistani seperatist to protest in Nepal on the ground of freedom.
We can afford no such thing in our soil.
