I think my absolute favorite was the mica modge podge mixture you used to create the lion on the frame. And that HARD modge podge blew my mind!! Until next time... L8R❤
The pine cone is from a ponderosa pine tree. We have those beautiful pine trees and pine cones on my parents property growing up in south Mississippi. When I was in elementary school, I would bag up several bags and bring to school and we made Christmas trees with them.
Everyone was so amazed at how big they were.
We had a pear tree that produced pears that big. Katrina can through and blow it down. My parents tried everything to save it by the root system, but and grafting of the limbs.
This was a heritage pear tree and was on the property when my parents bought the property after they got married.
Great video Brandi...I'm almost 100% sure that there is a rule not to beat the heck out of your project.

Crocheted dollies used to be soaked in mod podge and shaped into bowl forms. I had one my husband’s grandmother made; my puppy got it off the coffee table and chewed one side. The shape didn’t change, but the strands got chewed. Teething pup.

Thanks for the idea of a stiff modge podge bowl , I have some of my grandmas doily’s and I have been trying to think how to use them besides just framing them or making a cushion , now I will try a bowl for bits and pieces and try with burlap under them too , and now I have to go to craft store to buy way more than I intended to buy

You crack me up with the modge-podge boogers! Your humor is so refreshing and honest, especially when you make a wee mistake. You just own up to it & keep going. Loved the multimedia piece with the natural wood & a page from a book covered with a kaleidoscope of colors then covered with a stencil topped with texture paste. I wonder if caulk would work?? Also, loved the lion & all the info using Mica dust or powder.

Btw, I've seen others use shinny papers (like Christmas bags) to create pieces. They don't apply modge podge instead they cover the peice with parchment paper & then use an iron "to reactivate the glue" and viola! It's all finished. What is your opinion?

I don’t have mica powder. I’m also trying to use what I have. Couldn’t I mix the paint and mod podge with glitter ? That last glass jar was most stunning of all your beautiful creations.
You can mix it with glitter! It just turns out differently

So Brandi, is mod podge uniform in how it is stored? Is there an expiration time for mod podge? Why is it gummy? I mean it is a very thick putty or slime.
Its not like slime at all. It's more like the consistency of Elmer's glue! I personally just store it on my desk.

Will the ModPodge/paint mixture on the outside of the jar be OK without something like a clear coat? I'm thinking of it being n a bathroom where there's moisture, or even being handled with wet hands.
It is fine without the top coat but it never hurts! being touched with wet hands often might be better waiting till the item cures for 30 full days then sitting a drop of water on it for like 30 minutes and wiping it off to test it
if it gets activated them id use something more water safe to go over! If not then id say its good! Hope that helps!
