The connection to the box is most likely Bluetooth but the connection to the TV is IR. Try the trouble shooting through the menu and if that does not work point the remote toward your camera on you cell phone and while pushing the button look on the camera app... You should see the light flashing on the camera app since it will pickup IR signal.
Remember you have to keep it close to the system and point it directly at it when installing or else it won’t pair well.. If that’s not the case then I’m not sure what is happening.
I had the same remote but i lost it because is little. I called and they sent me another bigger remote with more buttons like channels, volume, pause etc. It work! About connection use cable for Internet is faster i use cable type 7 there's many different. If you have fast Internet then use Wi-Fi also you can listen everything using Bluetooth headset you have to pair on settings. I never had problems I use Netflix, Disney+, Discovery+ and much more. If you have 4K TV look better with HDR at 4K 60fps UHD. I have Internet from xifinity for 5 years.
I couldn't figure it out either. I gave the remote to my wife and she played around, clicking everywhere, finally the numbers showed up. Don't what she clicked on, but keep fiddling around, you should be able to get the numbers to show up on screen. Good luck!
My voice control is disabled now for some reason and it says to go to settings and then remote settings and enable it but there is no settings button on the remote (I have the same one as you)

Sorry to hear that. Try setting it up again or resetting the whole thing-even turning the power all off and back on.. You have a different setup for the sound do you? I myself setup my Bose speakers with no problems.

I can’t change tv input with mine. It will show the HDMI options and I can scroll through them but I can’t select them.
Try going into the settings to reconfigure your remote.

I went to the menu to disconnect it and the voice because the voice got on my nerves lol

Mine has a giant grey mouse cursor lined with yellow in the upper left corner of the screen that won't go away. Does anyone know how to fix this?

The diamond shape in the center is the up/down/sideway arrows that is how you access the numbers. Also keep in mind you have to be close to the box

Question: when you first set up the tv, how did you put in the phone number without a number pad?
I think you can pull up the numbers on the text pad, like on your phone.
