The biggest problem I have with these “Mac and cheese dinner” cups is that I have to eat all 4 cups to feel like I even ate anything at all lol. Maybe it’s just me being a fat American, but each of those cups is like 4 bites. I can easily eat a box of Kraft mac and cheese by myself, so these little cups are a huge waste of money for me when I can get bigger boxes and more food for cheaper
Huge difference between boxed KD over the cupped KD, and honestly if one is dumb enough to buy cupped over boxed they truly deserve the years they lose eating that super processed shit lol
when I have this kind of stuff I generally add mixture of 1/2 onion powder 1/4 garlic powder , 1/4white pepper to these kind of things to improve the flavor at the same time I add the chees dust
I've always found it impressive how much more expensive these cups of Mac & cheese are compared to just buying a box. I guess you have to pay for convenience.
Box ftw. Those cups are hot garbage. Velveeta or Kraft box is 5 times better than the bs you get out of a cup. Honestly if you want something easy out of a cup, just choose a decent ramen. Costs less, noodles are better and have bits of veggies and meat if you get Yakisoba.
You should check out kraft frozen mac&cheese dinners they look like someone threw up on the plate after drinking too much soda with extra chunks its nasty and the portion is school size so flipping small.
I presume you've never been around little kids. I believe these cups are more for children. Very young children don't eat very much. It's not worth making a big box of mac and cheese when your toddler just eats a tiny bit. I don't have kids, but my sister has couple very young kids. Knowing how little my nieces eat, I definitely understand why cups like these exist. It's convenient for moms, there are no leftovers to store, no leftovers to dispose of in a few days, and you don't need to worry about cooking a big pot of pasta when your kids are screaming and throwing a tantrum.
You're bringing me back to my college days - I ate WAY too many of ALL OF THOSE and stole way too many packets of ketchup from the cafeteria to spice them up!
I use the M&C as a starter. I add a chopped mushroom, a sausage, some broccoli, and green onion. I also add some seasoning, and some what ever kind of cheese I have in the refer. Great stuff and quick. Thanks for the video.
This is like a mirror universe episode of Box Mac, the YT channel where all they do is review macaroni and cheese. And it's good. Anyway the problem with these cups is that you spend like 5 minutes making it for a premium price, when it takes about as long to make a regular pot of Mac and cheese for a dollar or less. And let's be honest: a whole box is one serving. So they are a much better value than these cups. Edit: aside from the Kraft products, and maybe Annie's, I'd bet the rest are all made by Glister Mary-Lee, a company that makes the vast majority of store brand macaroni and cheese products, among other things.
I don't know what Annies does to their noodles. Even from the box you need to cook the ever living shit out of them so they aren't undercooked, waaaaay more than kraft. The white cheddar shells though... damn is it worth the hassle.

Ahhh, good old mac and cheese, the method of my survival in college. Though we usually did the boxes as it was cheaper than buying the cups. Also, we discovered that miracle whip was an acceptable substitute if you didn't have milk :) And Velveeta shells and cheese is my weakness.
As others have noted, Canadians call it Kraft Dinner, or most.often "KD". The cup noodles are not the same as those in the box, which are thick paste; those in the cup are tender, slippery to the tongue. My only point of difference with The Wolfe is that I use recently boiled water instead of cold.
I think the reason they call them "dinners" is just becasue mac and cheese is usually served at dinner, and doesnt have anything to do with the portion size, regardless, this was very informative, i never buy these things but it was still interesting to learn about
You are correct Larry, the Cracker Barrel brand frozen dinner (if you can find it) is the best there is next to home made from scratch. Love your video reviews.

Who would have ever thought, that one of the main things that brings me comfort when I am resting from working and saving money, and working on projects to help better my life... would be a wholesome boomer reviewing tv dinners and dollar store food?
@TheWolfePit , Larry my friend, most of these products are awful, I prefer frozen & usually Stouffers is my fave, but try/do a video on Marie Callender's family size Mac n cheese with white Vermont cheddar cheese, feeds 4 for appx. $ 5.00, best on the the market, better than all grocer stock, store or name brand & better than 90% of homemade/restaurants, it's that good, my wife chewed on me for eating the whole family portion, lol, You gotta try some, you won't go back
I’m glad you had the same experience with the shells and cheese that I’ve always had. I thought maybe I was just crazy, but I couldn’t believe how awful it was.
I’ve eaten the Kraft cups quite a few times, usually if I don’t have time to cook, and the best way to improve them based on my experience is to put in a few squirts of sriracha sauce and optionally some shredded cheese. The Velveeta one honestly has the best taste out of the box from these instant Mac and Cheese options.
I’ve always found that Velveeta had the most fake taste. In my opinion, it taste like what a drunk person would describe the taste to an alien that then tried to recreate it. No offense to your preferences tho.
I never liked the Annie’s cups, but the Annie’s Microwave Macaroni pouches are really good (you use your own bowl and they cook for 3 minutes instead of 2). Much better product and still convenient.
I've only recently discovered your channel and I'm very pleased. It's enjoyable to watch someone talk so enthusiastically about bottom-tier products and still sound like they're having fun (Even as a self-admitted Mac'n'cheese disliker.)

@@sophiesmomma yep. Just make the Mac n cheese per the box and then stir in one can cream of mushroom soup and one can tuna and and heat until hot. It’s really tasty and fast. LoL Cream of mushroom soup can size is 10.5oz Not the giant family size.

You take two of these, one of those foil pouches of tuna, and a small can of green peas and mix them together and it's pretty good for a meal. About 3-4 bucks from the dollar store.

Thankyou for your amazing service in helping people get through day to day struggles with finances and costs wolfpit what you do seriously helps people across the globe❤️ not Al super heroes wear capes Thankyou for what you do!
Ahhh, good old mac and cheese, the method of my survival in college. Though we usually did the boxes as it was cheaper than buying the cups. Also, we discovered that miracle whip was an acceptable substitute if you didn't have milk :)
And Velveeta shells and cheese is my weakness.
You don’t need milk. Just loads of butter!!
Since leaving the east coast, I really miss Food Lion. I'm old enough to remember when it was called Food Town.
food lion, am i right?
I just bought the cracker barrel Mac. it came with breadcrumbs as well
Edit: it was a bigger container and was white cheddar but still wasn't bad. It was the 1 cup for $4, not the 4 pack .
Also like the whole time I was watching this I was shaking my head from the beginning like you ain't gonna like what Annie's offerin'.
I've been pleasently several times by ANNIE'S products.
Annies rocks
Annies white cheddar yooo
@@FinehomesofNewHampshire Unfortunately I have yet to have a good experience with their products. xD
@@primedvalkyr5993 Ive been eating all of them for a minute. Annies is direction specific. Ive been doing all my mac wrong because im dumb. Now I mix the cheese into the milk in the pan seperate from the macaroni. Night and day difference.
Its all choice and taste bub.
When I have these at work I always add some packets of parmesan leftover from pizza. Sometimes some bacon bits.
I was gonna tell a cheesy joke..
But Id hate to get *elbowed.*
That joke is pasta it's prime.
@@abelq8008 well lets not get *bent out of shape* about it.
Lol
Yall are really stringing this out. You gouda get better stuff! I camembert it any longer!
@@alkirby3690 I know! It really gets me *boiling!*
$ 5.00, best on the the market, better than all grocer stock, store or name brand & better than 90% of homemade/restaurants, it's that good, my wife chewed on me for eating the whole family portion, lol, You gotta try some, you won't go back
It's a great day when TheWolfePit posts!!!! Thank you for trying it so we don't have to!!!!!!!
Great as always
So happy I found this channel very informative and always funny 😁 Keep posting Wolfpit!
I just realized you always say "Into the ol' pie hole" yet I don't think I have ever seen you eat pie.....
Pot pie count?
Mmmm pie! 🥧 🤤🤣
I had key lime tonight 😎
And I ate a delicious egg pie last night!
Yes. Keep it going! If you had pie as well tell us what pie you had. Unless it's a password of yours 😂
In my experience, the powder cheese varieties seem to boil over a lot in the microwave vs those that require less water due to using a cheese sauce.
"I don't like processed macaroni and cheese..."
BLASPHEMY
Sharp cheddar spray cheese squirted into a bugle. Great snack!
The video we needed, but didn't deserve.
I’m glad you had the same experience with the shells and cheese that I’ve always had. I thought maybe I was just crazy, but I couldn’t believe how awful it was.
I use the food lion and add a little shredded cheddar for a side dish.
No offense to your preferences tho.
the long awaited return we missed you 😪
Where are you at? Missing your vids man. You the best. Come back Wolfe pit
Omg been a long time! Miss you
I love the combo mix at the end. Nice video.
Where's Larry been ? Miss the voice and You the People .
Hope all is good??

I never liked the Annie’s cups, but the Annie’s Microwave Macaroni pouches are really good (you use your own bowl and they cook for 3 minutes instead of 2). Much better product and still convenient.
Calling Velveeta "cheese" is like calling Sunny-D "juice"...
Sunny D is tasty
It's still tasty
Now I want sunny D
Technically it is, as "juice" doesn't need to be from a fruit or veggie, just taste like it. *Technically*
It is juice just like kool-aid but it's not orange/citrus blend juice LOL
I've only recently discovered your channel and I'm very pleased. It's enjoyable to watch someone talk so enthusiastically about bottom-tier products and still sound like they're having fun (Even as a self-admitted Mac'n'cheese disliker.)
Take a shot every time he says “macaroni and cheese” 🤣
Alcohol poisoning for sure.
Late 1960s cheap tuna noodle casserole. Make box Mac n cheese per directions, then add cream of mushroom soup and a can of tuna and stir. My mom had growing up and made it for me and my brothers when we were growing up.
Interesting! Cream of mushroom soup directly from the can??
@@sophiesmomma yep. Just make the Mac n cheese per the box and then stir in one can cream of mushroom soup and one can tuna and and heat until hot. It’s really tasty and fast. I sometime throw in a small can of peas or a handful of frozen peas to make it “fancy”. To be honest, my family calls it cream of crap mac. LoL
Cream of mushroom soup can size is 10.5oz
Not the giant family size.
Hey Wolfe ! I was wondering, Im a French subscriber to your channel, and I was asking myself "what if my main man reviewed French instant/microwaved meal ?" So I have a proposition for you, would you be up to review a batch of French instant meal I could ship to you in like a PO box or some stuff like that ? Let me know right here ! I could easily send 5/6 meals, usually they are translated in english on the back, but if they're not, I could easily provide you with a translation of the ingredient list and nutritional values.
Sincerely, a trans-atlantic subscriber.
toss in a pinch of bacon bits when its gotta cook, completely upgrades the flavor...also if your salty about the salty you can also toss in a couple sprigs of broccoli. mellows it right out bud
I'm sure I'm not the only one who tosses the dry cheese mix in the trash . Then put some milk , flour , cheese and butter in a pot simmer and through the macaroni in with some bacon and cooked broccoli.
just buy pasta?
Really missing y'all Larry. Hope everything's ok with them. It was a nice way to wind down in the evening, pop on The Wolfe Pit, and just chill.
sorry To say hes passed Away from Coronavirus complication . this is steven west I workd with him
Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that. Prayers for the family for comfort. God bless RIP. Glad he left such a large contribution to the UA-cam community. He will be missed.
My mother gave a can of "cheese" she got free, as a "thank you" for some random favor I had just done. It made me feel like a kid again and by that I mean I felt just as I had the first time I had tasted spray cheez back then ... nauseous.
I love processed spreadable chees. Hohland brand used to be my favourite brand. Creamy, good ingridients, good taste. Then i found Kaufland brand for 1/3rd price. TASTES EXACKLY SAME. Sometimes offbrand cheaper option is delicious.
I love finding this tonight
You take two of these, one of those foil pouches of tuna, and a small can of green peas and mix them together and it's pretty good for a meal. About 3-4 bucks from the dollar store.
