I didn't meet very many people growing up that ate Kraft mac n' cheese. The only people we ever saw w/ 'Kraft in the blue box', were the rich kids. We all ate store brand 'Sam's Choice' and 'Kroger' and 'Hy-Top' mac n' cheese, cuz it was a 1/3 of the price for the same product. It's cheese powder & elbow pasta. Our parents weren't about buying 1 box, when they could get 3 for the same price and it all pretty much tasted the same.
Yea I used to buy the Kroger brand but now they usually have Kraft on sale. To me there is a distinguishable taste difference, the Kraft powder cheese tastes a lot better to me 🤷♀️
I love Mac & Cheese, I love Cheetos! When I first saw Cheetos Mac & Cheese I was amazed at how far technology has come & how the many brilliant scientific minds must have spent many countless hours developing this new modern miracle. I could not contain my cheese lust any longer, bought 3 boxes of each flavor, dashed out of the store & sped home. After what seemed like an eternity I finally arrived at home I put 3 pans of water on to boil & waited. After the usual 7-11 mins. cooking time had passed I loaded 3 bowels with Chester's latest product, I quickly discovered although I love Mac & Cheese & I love Cheetos I did not like Cheetos Mac & Cheese!

I'm glad I saw this before buying! I saw these at BJ's a couple of times & thought to myself "I wonder if they actually taste like Cheetos". You saved me a few bucks I suppose: if they taste like generic macaroni and cheese anyways, might as well get some from Aldi for 33 cents a box.

The Cracker Barrel boxed mac and cheese is the TRUTH. We don't frick with the Kraft anymore at my house.
Tip for the regular stuff in a box: In a pinch, you can mix the powdered cheese with vegetable oil and water.

Only really old people would get the Dewey decimal system reference. It went out of favor during the Red Scare because people thought Dewey was a communist. However, that was an entirely different Dewey than the one who created the library system.

As kids we’d create our own hacked version of Cheeto Mac n cheese by making regular Kraft Mac n cheese and adding some 99 cent bags of Cheetos, usually flaming hot cuz those are very popular here down south, putting them into a blender and pulverizing them and then mixing it into the Mac n cheese. Delicious, and probably way better then these purpose made versions.

Now here's what I did. Frankly I didn't have all 3, but I did have some extra cheese as well as spices. So what I did was toss in a bit of butter, shredded cheese, and the few spices.
Sucks that it comes out the box bland as a brick, but a little extra does take it a long way.

I had the boxed Flamin' Hot version, and it tasted great. Not sure why the boxed version would be different, but I really liked it.

The reason behind making so many flavors is to appeal to a larger market. For instance, I’m sure you noticed the growing trend over the past like 9 years for wanting spicy chips. My favorite Doritos are the jacked hot wings ones. They’re great but I honestly don’t go out of my way to get Doritos otherwise.
I have tried the cup version but I have tried the normal box version. I loved the extra cheesy flavor.

You must have gotten a bad container of the cheetos mac and cheese. that stuff is the BOMB! tastes exactly like cheetos and it pushed Kraft mac and cheese out of the #1 spot for me as best mac and cheese. I like to add a knob of butter to my microwave mac and cheese. soo good!

I've always loved cheeto's and as a Hispanic, when they came out with, first, the flaming hot cheeto's and then, next the cheddar jalapeños version, I was ecstatic....i loved them all! (Although, my favorite spicy chips are absolutely Takis) Then...about a year ago, I saw that cheeto's had Mac and cheese in cheetos flavors in a box (I haven't seen the cups) I flipped and got the jalapeños and flaming hot. The jalapeños definitely reminded me of the chips but I haven't tried the flaming hot ones yet. Maybe it's different from a box to a cup🤷♂️

Despite the repetition, you left out step 3. After you add water to the fill line, you need to "stir it up". You probably left most of the flavoring on the bottom of the cup.

Crushed red pepper might help bring that alive. Hot sauce or Sriracha might help too but could alter the flavor profile too much

i tried the flaming hot variety once out of curiosity. i love flaming hot chips, especially cheetos, so i was excited to try them. the color was pretty off putting to me, but i ate it anyway. the flavor wasn’t too bad, but let’s just say my stomach REALLY did not like it... 20 minutes later i needed to use the bathroom.
it has Palm oil, Sunflower oil, canola oil and soy all in the same meal. Wow may as well just drink oil at that point with a touch of Maltodextrin and corn flavoring.
If you want a Cheeto flavor cheese sauce at home brown your butter and flour then add milk. It will task like you add original Cheeto with no extra ingredients. You could also chuck in dice jalapeno.

This is just my opinion, not a fact. But the Flamin Hot and Jalapeno Cheeto Mac and Cheeses were amazing. The Bold and Cheesy were alright. I still enjoy them thoroughly, even though they arent the healthiest meals, in a box or in a cup.

There are people who seem like milquetoast Mildred but whose UA-cam subscriptions are almost all channels filled with morbid stories of crime, horror, and death. They just love that stuff. And I’m kind of like them but my creepy fascination is with the horrors of modern weirdass processed faux food. I appreciate that you show us the ingredients. I always have to stop the video and wallow in the disgust of it all. I could never sacrifice myself to try these things out, so the fact that you and the Mrs. Wolfe Pit will is a strike of good luck for me. Thanks for your well communicated videos.

I had the bold and cheesy. I couldn’t figure out what it taste like. After talking with a friend who tried it as well we figured out it tasted vaguely like vomit. -15 out of 5 stars.
My son is addicted to the boxed ones. He said the cup isn't the greatest and was offended you didn't try the boxed versions.

Larry, if you prefer simplicity on your shopping trips, you might wanna look into Aldi stores if you have any in your area, their stuff is usually solid flavor wise and they're cheap as hell. But more relevantly, they only carry 1 or 2 versions of most things in their store which they do because of cheapness.

I tried all 3 flavors of the boxed Cheetos Mac & Cheese. I normally only purchase Velveeta Shells & Cheese, but this caught my eye and I bought them. I was very surprised that I liked the Falmin' Hot & Jalapeño flavors. The original flavor, was ehh.

Cheetos Max & Cheese Bowls? That's new to me.
As a kid I used to love the boxed Max & Cheese, ate it all the time. Now I dunno if craft changed their noddles, their cheese mix, or if I just ate so much of it I got sick of it, but I'm not a fan of the boxed Mac & Cheese anymore. I do remember trying a Kraft Bowl once before though and not finding it to bad for some reason.
Still Cheetos, ok yea I like the cheesies, especially the Crunchy Jalapeno, those are nice. But when the heck did Cheetos get into the Mac & Cheese business?
I presume Kraft is geared more towards the taste buds of kids. You probably just grew out of it. But, you should consider giving Annie's boxed mac and cheese a try. That's that organic brand with the rabbit as a mascot. I'm in my mid-30's, and I love Annie's boxed mac and cheese, all their varieties taste really good.

@@justinlynch3 Ah, I didn't realize you are Canadian. Could be Annie's isn't available in Canada. If it's not, you can probably order it online. In the US, Annie's products are in every grocery store. It's one of the largest, best known organic brands.
