Awesome video. Where did you get the harness plate mount? I see its a clear one, the one from sail video is black. Again, grateful for the kitesurfers community!
Just a tip from experience, be careful with the seals on the insta360. Mine ended up getting water into the battery compartment and fried it after a pretty minor crash. Thankfully they replaced it and I got a waterproof case now, but that has it's own drawbacks.
Good question! I start the session with it dry and clean and try to keep it that way. If it gets wet then I stop off at the shore and get a homie to wipe the lenses with their t shirt
Hey Mike! thanks for the video. I just received the new shoulder mount for the X3, but haven't tried it yet. I'm missing two things in your video. 1) how far do you extend the Insta360 stick and 2) at what angle. I tested it on the ground but at least walking it wobbles a lot from side to side if I extend it very long. I'd love to see your ideal spot and angle. Thanks!
Hey Mike! How do you start and stop your videos? Do you just start it at the beach and leave it on recording for the full session? If so, how long does it take till your memory card is full?

Damn that's a bummer! Sorry Mathieu! I don't use a floaty. It feels pretty well fastened on the pole for me. I have considered using a threadlocker like Loctite to make sure it doesn't come off with time and vibrations
Thanks to my friend Ryan for introducing me to this method of filming! 🕺 You're the man!
Another super helpful video Mike!
It wouldn't have been possible without you señor! Thanks for showing me the way 🙏🕺

Bro, for the 360X2 or the 360R or RS, are available also the "sticky lens protections", I think a must have for these types of footages! :)
Yes, but this caps decrease the image-quality a lot.
@@AscendedBeing87 not the old "big" caps... I intend the tiny sticky ones... have you tried them?
Thanks! I'll have to give them a try. Would you please drop a link to ones you'd recommend?
i woud like to see how it woud look with gopro max lens on that stick
Nice! Question, what do you do when you get water droplets on the lens? A bit hard to reach back and clean it?

Love your video, and clips. really sick! but would never ever used insta 360 ever again. Such a waste of money those cameras are. Go pro max always.

I leave it running :) I get 30gb of footage from 1h, if I remember correctly :) haha
And I use a 128gb Sandisk Extreme Pro
Hi Mike where can i buy one of these back harnesses from
Cheers
Spike
What do you recommed for avoiding waterdrops? any trick?
I just try to keep it dry and wipe it regularly. But it's probably a good idea to use some hydrophobic stuff like Rain X or equivalent
Which pole length do you use and which angle ?
Boom! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
are you in Gouna
I'm in Dahab right now and flying to Cape Town tomorrow 😁✈️

where do I buy that harness or similar.
Lost my GoPro Max on the water after it’s dropped from the mount system... don’t you use a floatty ?

Anyone have input on comparison of sailvideo vs noir matter mount?
Wich specs do you use? 5.7k 30fps? 3k 100 FPS?...
I’ve only been using 5.7k @30 but keen to try the slowmo one of these days
Forgot to mention you need some talent too 😊
