Having played all of the Bomberman games for both Nintendo 64 and GameCube, I like this one the best out of all of them.. by far! What I like most about this one as opposed to the other N64 entries is that the entire game is designed towards casual players. There's no hard endgame content that requires you to collect all gold cards and beat bosses in a certain amount of time. This game features fun stages, plenty of dialogue and simple gameplay. I find it to hold up extremely well with todays standards and a recommendation to everybody, especially those fond of the N64. This re-recording features much smoother gameplay and graphics. Whilst being 30 minutes shorter, I did leave in longer segments of the Guardian Armor collection part. The previous recording cut the stages off when I collected the piece of armour, whereas in this video I also showcase getting back to the end of the stage. The doors basically remain open the second time you play a stage, so the route towards the end is a lot faster and a little different (Thankyou developers for being thoughtful).
among all bomberman games, i feel like this one deserves a chance at a second life with a rerelase, along with saturn bomberman. this game is fucking excellent and one of my favorites of all time. it honestly makes me sad that this style of gameplay hasn't been seen in over 20 years, i think they really had something going with baku 1, baku 2, and even generation although i like it less was pretty good. i have nothing against standard grid based bomberman but there's like 50 of those. this game was where it was at.

This Bomberman game on the N64 is amazing! It’s such an improved game from the first game and it’s such a fun ride!

I liked bomberman 64 but i prefer this, it's maybe the best bomberman game ever or at least on the N64
