How the Mighty Have Fallen- Brecon Gaer Roman Fort

Cadw states that Brecon Gaer Roman Fort "was once one of the Romans’ largest inland forts and a vital link in the occupiers’ defensive network in Wales."
Now just a few clues are left scattered around a field in the middle of a farm. Even the surrounding area doesn't give much of a clue that this was once such a prominent and important site.
But considering its around 1942 years old, and has no doubt had many careless owners, it's probably not doing too badly for itself.
