So, I feel like I should know this, I mean he's sinned so many movies for people eating apples, calling all of them assholes. But, why does eating an apple make people assholes?
Originally, Butch Cavendish was supposed to be a werewolf and that's supposedly why the Lone Ranger uses silver bullets. However, that supernatural storyline aspect was dropped but bits and pieces of those weird elements remained in and made the movie make even less sense.
Some of the early radio adventures have him as a shape shifter through some (Hollywood) Indian magic so that the silver must be used. Although this origin of the silver bullet was never used in the TV show the Fonz explains it once in Happy Days.

The criticism of The Lone Ranger are: • Johnny Depp’s casting as Tonto was very controversial at the time • Its bloated runtime (2 and a half hours of copying Pirates Of The Caribbean and very useless scenes) • It strayed very far to the original source material (straight up disrespectful) • When you think of it, what is the target audience for this? • It was one of the biggest flops of 2013 • It’s a proud “winner” of a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel
it's a good movie, but american military fanbois don't like how their soldiers are portrayed as gold loving gangsters... Not much has changed, replace gold for oil.
Giuseppe Ianniello Johnny Depp’s casting is still quite controversial (regardless of his marriage and the modern evidence clearing him) as it would’ve been fairer to have an American Indian play the role rather than someone who claims he has some heritage of it. Nevertheless, Johnny Depp remains a funny and, in my opinion, an alright actor.

@Planet MarsWhat you just said, is what ruins most stories, games, and movies. Because you can't believe in them anymore. The point isn't 'It's all fake, I can't make anything happen. Watch *Lightning strikes and kills the badguy, story over*. The point is to make a believable story. And while 'Luck', or 'Coincidence' can happen at just the right time to start or keep the story going. It should be a very rare thing. The only time 'Supernatural Elements' should be happening, is in Fantasy, Scifi, or supernatural setting. If a story is grounded in reality, like this movie is, it should follow reality's rules. If the Author of the story can't do that, the fault is on the Author, and doesn't change a bad story into a good story. If a story is set in reality, but can't even follow the rules of reality, it fails as a story. "In any good story, physics and rules can bend with the telling of the tale in order for it to be fantastical and fun." This is a fail of story telling to major proportions. Cause while in a cartoon it makes sense, as cartoons aren't grounded in reality most of the time, and meant to entertain children. But in Live Action Movies, and stories based on, you know, the actual story and not visual gags to make people laugh, the story has to be believable. One of the biggest reason this movie fails, is because of how unbelievable it is. There is no tension or worry about the character, if you know they can survive any kinda fall, take any kinda hit, and are always saved by a deus ex. It's a better story to see someone get shot, react realistically and recover and be effected by that shot and still win regardless. Than to see someone get shot, get up and walk it off like nothing happened, and it never effects him beyond knocking him down/out for a bit. Any rule or physics bending should be very rarely used, and very subtle. Cause if not, it just creates a plothole that ruins the story.
@Triple TriculmiteAnd how far do you want to take that? Just cartoons? How about movies? Video games? Puzzles? the Internet? Stories? How about history books? Lets all laugh at how the Jews were rounded up and murdered by the hundreds of thousands, and it seems so unbelievable because they should have oviously been able to beat up their captives and escape, yeah? If you only ground what you see around you physically in reality, and everything fictionally is ungrounded in reality. Then how do you draw the line? Are the news you're reading ungrounded in reality? What about the newspaper? What about government law books? If you don't ground most things in reality, and just happily shut your brain off for entertainment, what if something happens nearby that is exactly like what you see on TV or in movies? Are you just going to stand there and watch someone mug someone else in the allyway, because it happens just like in the movies, and turns your brain off? "sometimes it's fun to just shut your brain off for a couple hours." It's also found you drink enough alcohol to end up dead, to take hardcore drugs, and to gamble your life away to the mob, or to throw your time away at video games. Just cause it's 'Fun' doesn't instantly mean it's a good thing. I bet a lot of criminals had fun raping and killing their victims too. Use your brain, and think more. Don't just become stupid for entertainment. Consume entertainment that actually makes you think and question things. Most of the greatest movies ever, are the ones that make you think deeper and harder. The greatest mystery films are the ones where YOU can figure out the clues along with the characters and solve the case as well. The greatest horror films are the ones most grounded in reality, where people actually act realistically and do everything the right way, and yet still lose in the end. The greatest comedy movies are the ones where the jokes are well crafted, the situations make sense, and the movie is well design to draw out laughs while making sense. Heck, comedies are the ones you expect to be the most outlandish and cartoon like to get the most laughs. But watch your most favorite comedies. I bet they are more grounded in reality than most action movies you'll watch. Because if it isn't grounded in reality, the jokes won't make as much sense anymore. "suspension of disbelief", aka 'Luck' and 'Coincidence' like I said are meant to be subtle and rarely used things. If you have to suspension of disbelief all the time, or for too long, you get taken out of the movie/show/book. Rocky wouldn't be much of a good movie, if the main character didn't train at all and just went up and one shotted the main enemy in the ring. Or even after training, if he just took the main bad guy out in 1 hit. It wouldn't be realistic. To show a movie series that fails because of "suspension of disbelief", just look at the Matrix. The first movie was the best one, because it was grounded in reality, and was believable. And at the end, when Neo was able to see the code and became a true hacker of 'Reality', he became a god. The movie ended very shortly after that, and that was that. However, they continued the story, and suspension of disbelief kicked in hardcore. Cause now, Neo wasn't a God, even tho he basically had the ability to do whatever he wanted in the Matrix. Whats more, he could even't effect machines outside of the Matrix as well. Whats more, where they had a User log into a system, they had an AI able to log out of the system and become a user who was connecting to the system. Which even suspension of disbelief doesn't cover. Matrix 2 and 3 failed hard as movies, and are liked by no one at all, because of suspension of disbelief. Where you're meant to believe things that just don't make sense at all, all the time, and told repeatedly to suspension of disbelief, even in the 'IRL Reality' parts of the movie. suspension of disbelief is a useful tool to be used sparingly, not a clutch get out of plotholes device. If you have to force your readers/viewers to use suspension of disbelief, it means you failed. Especially if it's to cover up a plothole. such at where in Terminator 2, they destroy Cyberdyne and original arm that created the apocolypse. Only for in Terminator 3, they find something new left behind in Terminator 2, and create a new company, under a new name, that is very simular to the old name, and does the EXACT SAME THING, and created the EXACT SAME FUTURE, with the EXACT SAME EVIL ROBOT AI, that wiped out the world THE EXACT SAME WAY. suspension of disbelief is a tool, use it well, but don't rely on it, or you fail as a writer.
@@Jirodyne You do know this is being told by an unreliable narrator, right? They literally say so in the video, HELL, A GUY WAS PRETTY MUCH BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE, dont forget Tanto also believes in Wendigos, and the fact that the bad guy on the train shot 20 bullets each with six shooters without reloading. This movie wasnt meant to be grounded in reality, it was meant to be a fantastical tale for the fun of it. And now that I think of it that way, the movie got slightly better...
I love how the woman reduced an endeavor that created an important means of more rapid and safer travel and transport of goods across the country to " a bunch of guys digging in the desert".
I know what I would say about Matilda this movie exists the movie was complete shit bad direction shitty script terrible actors apart from Danny devito and rea purlman everyone one else can't act and the worst actor ironically was in my opinion was Mara Wilson aka Matilda all her roles she's ever starred she plays pretty much the same character over and over again extremely awful actress 😕😕😕😕😕😕😖😖😖😖😖
Gotta hand it to the movie, the score that Zimmer composed for the finale, which is basically "William Tell overture - extended version", is pretty awesome. And all the nonsense with the horse was pretty cool too. The line "something very wrong with that horse", the way it's delivered to underline that nonsense in a slightly 4th-wall breaking way, was worthy of a sin removal.
Personally I would add 100+ sins to this movie for making me wait through the credits while Tonto walked slowly into the desert with absolutely no payoff.
This movie was too long and meandering like some lost river. I've always like Depp and his work, but this time no... he was trying too hard but failed. He (Depp) should do a few straight roles, take a break from the crazy characters he plays so well. :) Love this channel! :)
Seems after Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp plays the same character roles no matter what movie. Even playing Grindelwald still feels like a evil wizard Jack.
whoistom - 'The Oriental Express' was quite a poor re-make of a classic 70's movie, but yes Depp was playing a straight role well. I like him in the 'Ninth Gate' movie.
Well It's a good Idea... Too have a man ot group to nitpick sins or errors in the movie. We'll get great movies. But, You know most of the times the errors are left there by the filmmakers because that makes the movies what It is. (Most of them), think about infinity war... spoiler alert... Don't you think that the maker already know that they can use Dr. Strange's powers in different ways to get the infinity gauntlet away from thanos. They do know... But they wanted to give us a tragic story so they made It happen. Almost every movie have such examples. *SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH*

I actually really liked the Lone Ranger.
You and me both!
Same. It had many problems, and it was far from being a classic in my opinion, but I still enjoyed it
Scoob The Boob i agree with you, despite it’s flaws i still really enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed this movie. Yes it wasn’t perfect but no movie is

"Because Charles Bronson didn't at the end of Once Upon A Time In the West".
They made a Lone Ranger movie? I thought this was Pirates of the Caribbean but with Cowboys instead of Pirates.
That's what I've been thinking.
Definitely what they were going for.
Cowboys of the Caribbean: Tonto's Revenge, Part One: The Lone Ranger; in cinemas summer 2013
How original you are! Your egg-donor must be so proud.
Still love the train action scene at the end
Laura Garcia me too

Definitely a sin, unexplained phasing horse, LOL.

John Shomody you got issues, bro.
@@partgard1 great sense of humor. I loved when you couldn't tell it was a joke. (That's sarcasm.)
Didn't he play one in a movie called "Deadman"?
No, he plays a pirate in this one
I love how the woman reduced an endeavor that created an important means of more rapid and safer travel and transport of goods across the country to " a bunch of guys digging in the desert".
I freaking lost it when the Sin Counter didn't catch the sarcasm lmao.
Helena Bonham Carter is so F*cking good at acting. Oh my god.
Do Matilda I wanna see what you have to say about it
I know what I would say about Matilda this movie exists the movie was complete shit bad direction shitty script terrible actors apart from Danny devito and rea purlman everyone one else can't act and the worst actor ironically was in my opinion was Mara Wilson aka Matilda all her roles she's ever starred she plays pretty much the same character over and over again extremely awful actress 😕😕😕😕😕😕😖😖😖😖😖
"Are you trying to blow us up or trying to bring down the mountain?" "Yes"
The Lone Ranger failed because it had too much of a Pirates of the Caribbean vibe to it.
That and it wasnt that good
I personally didnt mind the pirates vibe. You're saying it should have been more of a serious westen movie?
@@Avengers2001 isn't in the west?

Exactly.
Idc I love pirates of the Caribbean
Who else is waiting for Infinity War ?
It's obviously next week. Read the description.

Is that what space sins mean?
7:36 I was expecting u to say how they didn't get trampled lmao
But I really liked this movie it was funny
The horses likely noticed them. Otherwise they would trip on every rock sticking out of the ground
I didn't, I loved it. Watch Bass Reeves on UA-cam. Even better.
Everything Wrong with the Rush Hour series please!
Alexander Wang this!!
There's nothing wrong with that series.

Where did Infinity War go, did it disappear?
It's obviously next week. Read the description.
Sorry, he's not feeling to good right now.
It doesn’t feel so good
I have an even better question:
*Why is CinemaSins?*
I have a feeling cinemasins will make infinity war next week
Gotta hand it to the movie, the score that Zimmer composed for the finale, which is basically "William Tell overture - extended version", is pretty awesome. And all the nonsense with the horse was pretty cool too. The line "something very wrong with that horse", the way it's delivered to underline that nonsense in a slightly 4th-wall breaking way, was worthy of a sin removal.
The fact that thy insist on being alone.

Personally I would add 100+ sins to this movie for making me wait through the credits while Tonto walked slowly into the desert with absolutely no payoff.
Tonto walking slowly through the desert WAS the pay off...
yep!
The payoff was the Jerry Bruckheimer Films logo and the Disney logo.
Nothing wrong with this movie...
Apart from most of it.
This movie was too long and meandering like some lost river. I've always like Depp and his work, but this time no... he was trying too hard but failed. He (Depp) should do a few straight roles, take a break from the crazy characters he plays so well. :)
Love this channel! :)
Seems after Pirates of the Caribbean, Depp plays the same character roles no matter what movie. Even playing Grindelwald still feels like a evil wizard Jack.
he was on the idontknow express and that was a cool straight pretty normal role
KhaanMan66 - I totally agree! :)
whoistom - 'The Oriental Express' was quite a poor re-make of a classic 70's movie, but yes Depp was playing a straight role well. I like him in the 'Ninth Gate' movie.
pretty sure he started accepting anything just to get away from his [at the time] wife
you missed that part where tonto fell into a cart filled with silver and felt nothing
Please sin The Nice Guys
Roman Story Good luck sinning that movie, you’d have to remove a sin every other minute because of all the things it got right.
Everything Wrong With The Long Ranger: He's not alone.
5:52 a million sins for dropping the kitten even though they land on their feet. No dropping kittens!
Yeah, that's probably the first time someone ever dropped Red's pussy (cat).
So I guess me shooting every cat in our neighborhood that just runs free and wants to piss on my wicker furniture is bad?
2:06 Hey! That’s Jack Sparrow’s move!
And 2:20 lol
Priscilla Jimenez And immediately after that, a joke is cracked about Johnny Depp! What’s happening here!
I believe there's a captain in there somewhere mate
This is a re-upload right? It is isn't it?
I was thinking the same thing, it feels like a reupload
Nah, they haven’t don’t this one yet??
“Person assumes a video is a reupload when CinemaSins sins a movie that came out years ago cliché.”
Maybe the movie is just such a generic kind of bad that it FEELS like a reupload?
@Lady Marmalade, THIS is a better burn than any sin in the video
When Netflix bans *Cinemasins's newest video*
John Carter, Tron: Legacy, Lone Ranger, all movies you go 'oh yeah, that was a thing, that existed' and that's all you can say.
HI HO SILVER!! AAWWAAAAAYYYY!!!
I legit rewatch these video's as much as possible because I love your channel and refuse to not see at least 1 mil views on each video.
Isn't it depressing never to be able to wear the same hat more than once due to the hole your head pokes in them?
They should hire this guy before they realease a movie😂😂
Nope.
Then there would be like 5 movies release per year
Atleast they would be GOOD movies, and not "meh" or "bad" movies
YukiPaw
Doesn't feel like that much of a bad thing
Well It's a good Idea... Too have a man ot group to nitpick sins or errors in the movie. We'll get great movies.
But, You know most of the times the errors are left there by the filmmakers because that makes the movies what It is. (Most of them), think about infinity war... spoiler alert... Don't you think that the maker already know that they can use Dr. Strange's powers in different ways to get the infinity gauntlet away from thanos. They do know... But they wanted to give us a tragic story so they made It happen. Almost every movie have such examples.
*SORRY FOR THE BAD ENGLISH*
damn I love this channel
A youtuber named Train of Thought did a video specificly about the trains in this movie, and why they dont make any sense.
This movie is so forgettable, noone even noticed there wasn´t a CinemaSins episode on it ^^

Lmfao. It isnt a normal horse. 😂😂
It's a spirit-horse mook. This wasn't made to be a Ken Burns documentary, believe it or not...

I would say the number 1 western imo is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly or The Magnificent Seven (original). But if you like those more thats your opinion bro.

How the hell did Tonto not break every bone in his body (at best) when he made that jump, fell at least 70 feet if not more, and landed right on top of a train car full of silver ore?
It's a comedy movie. It's not expected to be based in real life.
Number one should be Johnny Depp thinking that a painting with an eagle rising majestically from behind someone, was a dead eagle SITTING ON HIS HEAD!

I really liked this movie and I know it’s their job to make movies look bad but I feel like they were a bit hard on it considering they counted the opening Disney castle as a sin.
