Also I live in a place in Visayas (not gonna say where) yes it does rain but not enough to take a swim and it's also very hot like most of the time it's hot as hell we needed 2 electric fans and a hand fan and it wasn't enough

i have so much memories like that when i was a kid. its raining so hard and half of our first floor house is in flood, and i remember swimming and enjoying the water😄 most of the time me and my friends running around outside playing with the rain. teenagers play basketball even in the rain.. i dont know but we really see something to be happy even in that kind of situation. i didnt see it as strange 😅 its natural for us.

5:40 - This is actually not a bridge that crosses water. It's a short tunnel for vehicles where vehicles run at the top, and vehicles cross under at the bottom. This tunnel easily fills up with water, hence becoming a diving pool.

5:41 looks like a river but it's not. It is actually Quezon Blvd. underpass road located in Manila City which usually gets flooded on strong rains due to inadequate pump system.
the true mark of Filipinos are their Resilience, they are happy and contented with what they have and whatever you give them .
As a filipino, like literally every year in my life there's always a typhoon like almost every year, and always floods. Some kids are happy because school is suspended lol. I live in Visayas, we're used in thphoon, and sometimes there's no typhoon but just a normal rain but it lasts for like 4 days straight non stop, but there's no strong wind. And sometimes after a Typhoon, we climb on falles trees to play like Tarzan while also collecting some fallen fruits, sometimes we even get alot of fruits and sell them. I miss being a filipino kid.
When I used to live there, we experienced so much typhoon that we just enjoy it whenever it happens.
Yes, especially the the Phillippine countryside , during light thyhoons or floods some folks take advantage to to have fishing, dredging cleaning canals and ditches, some prepares wood planks as bridge for passengers who dont want to be wet/umbrellascort to passengers from waiting sheed to PUV/PUJ for a coins.
