  • This is a six mile walk from Denby Dale stopping off at the ancient barn at Gunthwaite Hall, before moving on to the Quaker Meeting House at High Flatts. The route follows packhorse tracks, paths across open country with far views of Barnsley. Full narration by Douglas Cossar of the Ramblers Association.

Well my family lived at Moist Holme Farm and we farmed the land where the quarries known as Denby Delf , the land we called the Ruff has a nice view to Cumberworth and Denby dale. I knew about Quaker bottom but have never visited. Its funny when you live on a farm you don't have time value the view and the area.
