Man this is awesome. I've considered taking this exam after eCPPT. I'm going through PEH right now and I'm signed up for a few more of TCM's courses. I can relate to the imposter syndrome, but your comments about all of this are reassuring. Thanks for the great content!
Hey bud just wanna say congrats to achieving your dream! That’s awesome in and of itself. I’m a biiiiiig time newb to all this, but have recently taken up an obsession with Pentesting. My question to you is on a pre-requisite level, what would you recommend someone study in order to take TCm’s course and be able to understand it properly? My ultimate goal is the same as yours but I want to prepare myself and study the proper materials in order to take full advantage of the course if that makes sense. Thanks in advance! And again, congratulations to you my friend!
Hey there, I'm late in getting back to you, but I hope you've made some progress on your goals! I'd recommend his content for sure, it's a great starting place. The eJPT content from INE used to be solid, but it's likely outdated nowadays. Ippsec's videos are really good for learning new tools and techniques as he tries to solve Hack the Box challenges, but they can sometimes be fairly advanced. Look for the beginner ones and watch those first and just takes notes and practice practice practice!
So with respect to the lack of proctoring being a concern, was the debriefing the foil to someone not taking the exam themselves? It seems like that would be the place to really catch a cheater pretty effectively.
That's a solid point that I didn't consider. My debrief was mainly just me talking, so i could totally see how somebody who didn't actually sit for the exam would struggle here.. What would stop somebody from theoretically taking the exam for another and performing the debrief on their behalf? I imagine there would have to be some sort of ID verification to thwart that.
Very interesting. (One more subscriber added :) ) With regards the two days for the reporting. Is training and templates provided at all , or is that addition learning?
@@InfiniteLogins Thanks for taking the time to reply. To be honest that would be amazing. I saw one that John Hammond did utilising markdown and then printing through Tex, but as much as I love markdown, it's always nice to actually see a video of it being completed :) I look forward to it.
Thank you for this vid..Do you think it's a good idea, after doing the training to maybe do some hack the box stuff before doing the exam?or will the course material be enough?Thank you
@@InfiniteLogins bro i have a question. did you have to use tools like sshutle, proxychains ... during the exam? these tools are not taught in the course
I'm planning to take ithis certificationbut I've few doubts. I'm not from infosec background but I've years of testing experience. I'm assuming the course material are enough to cover this

Glad you're here! They touch on report writing in the PEH course, but I could definitely do an entire video some day on how I write my reports.

hi, do you sell personal videos when you show exactly what to do?
For "Proctoring" don't they have an interview at the end to validate your exam and decision making? :)

Thanks! It's a typo.
