Hello friends! Welcome back onboard Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas for day number 7 of our Southern Caribbean sailing! Today we are docked in Castries, St. Lucia and we are in love! Our short time here was filled with beautiful water, vistas, and people! We spent the day touring another Sandals Resort location, Recency La Toc. Stick around, our next video in the playlist will be the full tour and review of this resort! For the rest of the day onboard the ship we enjoyed a few exciting rounds of bumper cars, tried out the Seaplex Doghouse, played ping pong, and caught the Love and Marriage Game Show in the Royal Theater. Not to mention, today was Super Bowl Sunday! So we took you around the ship to show you all the special locations, foods, and festivities revolved around the big game! Remember cruises in the 1960's and 70's where we gathered around my shortwave radio to get the NFL playoff scores or Super Bowl results. There were no TV sets on cruise ships and if there were, they would only work in port. Occasionally, the ship's captain would make an 1MC announcement to give crew and passengers scores. I recently found your videos and love them. You guys are very down to earth an fun. We want to plan our first ever cruise but I’m scared to commit to a date since everyone says the virus will go away for the summer but will return again next fall when regular flu season starts again. What are you guys doing as far as making plans for future cruises?

Well, our original cruise on Oasis of the Seas for May 10th already got canceled. We then booked the Disney Dream for June 12th, but alas, it too has been canceled. We’re hoping cruising resumes back in July and we’re able to go then, otherwise, we’ll probably look to September. The way we see it, we have to trust the officials in charge (since we’re certainly not experts!), and if they sign off saying it’s ok to go, we’re going to do it (while still being cautious!).
Keep in mind, every cruise line is offering a program that gives you peace of mind when booking. The details vary from line to line, but there is definitely a protocol in place to ease the process!

Yes, Sandals offers day passes for people to purchase. You are treated just like any guest staying there, you just don’t have a room to go to! Our day passes are complimentary, provided that we do a tour of the resort, because we are travel agents. :)
