Finally and at last the problem with the brass cog on the ringfield motors is fixed!
Thus has been a long journey with Andy Russel and Barry Davies both having suggestions and input in an effort to resolve this ongoing challenge.
Now you have an alternative to buying and installing a CD motor/pancake drive.
Get yourself a small C clamp and a small vice along with a couple of old Triang controller nuts.
Make sure you keep the cog 1mm away from the washer.
Please share this with anyone who is experiencing problems with their Ringfield motors and give me the Big thumbs up

Blu-tack has always been a good holder of things I have found over the years. A great result for this issue.

Thanks so much. It was very rewarding to see that it worked. Now I can refine it so I don’t need four hands 👍

Thanks so much zoom, I really appreciate that. I have tried for the longest time how to get these brass cogs on or even just push them into place.
I studied it yesterday and searched for suitable buts and pieces that I thought would work and proceeded with making the video.
      So happy it worked

Thanks so much! I have put this off for the longest time but decided to jump in after sone thought and finding suitable bits. My biggest fear was that it might slip and bend the shaft. Thanks for commenting
