In Turkiye we say “Acaba yoğurdu sarımsaklasak da mı saklasak yoksa sarımsaklamasak da mı saklasak?”. It means “I wonder if we should keep the yoghurt with garlic or without garlic?”.
No . we say “I wonder if we should keep the yoghurt with garlic or keep the yoghurt without garlic? is the exact translation . Byeee
I loved the voice of the Turkish girl, she sounds like a contralto
Hande's voice is so deep, I admired it😮
Evet. Çok karizmatik bir sesi var.
Among these languages , the most similar one to french is portuguese , since is from the same family and also she knows spanish that is even more similiar , Julia from Brazil is such a good-vibe person 😂
I have to say, I’m from Brazil and French it’s very hard for me to understand
@@oparadigmaCom certeza, mas dentre todos os idiomas do vídeo é o mais parecido
i would say the most similar is Catalan!
Julia is pure Love...
Júlia must be the most uninhibited, confident and happy person I've ever seen on this channel.
Could add annoying too😂

Júlia is simply amazing. She has brilliantly represented Brazil.
Hande❤️ Perfect in everything🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷❤️🤍
Hande didn't say anything wrong, say "görüşürüz"see you later, but this word is used among close friends, usually saying "hoşçakal"goodbye (bye) In English, the word bye is only an abbreviation, but in Turkish it corresponds to the word "hoşçakal" because in Turkish it is used more than the word (güle güle), but in the Turk language, there are two goodbye👋
At some point, 🇧🇷 Julia appeared on almost every video on these channels, so it felt a bit weird when she wasn't there. Her personality brings in such a great positive vibe. 🙃 As a 🇫🇮 Nordic person in my thirties, I wish I had the same ability. 😝
For those who want to know the meaning of "pão" it is bread in English, but if you pronounce it wrong it becomes "pao" and sounds like "dick" in Portuguese 😂🇧🇷, that's what Julia said Yeon Seul 🇨🇵😂 , loved their interation
Hahahaha, this is a classic mistake in Portuguese. I'm Brazilian and I saw a lot of times, gringos pronouncing "pão" wrong. It causes a so funny moment 😂
it also sounds similiar to the dutch word for peacock being ''pauw''
Pfff, that’s so efd, words used for food cannot be misused to refer to the most ofsv areas of ppl, such things must have completely different words that aren’t similar to nature / food etc term at all!
@@FrozenMermaid666 what?
I clearly said that food related terms cannot be similar to terms that are related to ofsv things / bad words / bad things!
The girls on this channel from Brazil are always very personable
It's always great to see Yeon Seul on the channel😊 I admire her language learning confidence💪

I hate to see that no one teaches German phonetics. Everything makes so much sense when you know the sounds and the rules that come with them. Every vowel has a long and short version except for the [a] which sounds the same and there is the neutral schwa sound [ə] which is always short. Depending on the region you can pronounce the in 3 different ways - you don't have to roll it and it can become [a] at the end of the word or if you form the plural like "Kinder" ([a] is actually not the exact phone but I don't have the table here :).
The "ich" and "ach" sounds are found in the English language as well. "ich" in "human" (the h is pronounced like the German "ich") and "ach" is basically the same sound that is produced if you put , , or in front of "human". Don't exaggerate it!
Every vowel in German is a so called monophthong so it's one sound unlike in English where all vowels except for are diphthongs. You can build diphthongs, but there are only 3 possible combinations: , and . Unless you have these combinations the vowels are always pronounced seperately. Especially when you put words together like "Spieleentwickler" (game developer) which is typical for the German language. This is pronounced [ʃpi:le'ɛntvɪklɐ] but you take it apart and you have two smaller words: [ʃpi:l] (game) and [ɛntvɪklɐ] (developer). So the smaller parts get less and less intimidating.
I digress... German is difficult, yes. But most people are afraid of the language for unnecessary reasons. Just learn the phonetics, then the basic word order and after that you just have to power through the case system which is difficult for Germans as well. But you know what? No one cares if you make case mistakes or use the wrong articles. Germans probably understand you anyway.
German Scrabble is a meme that everyone in my family laughs at. We’re descendants of Slovenes, so feel free to laugh back. 😂
I really love German language, as a Brazilian Portuguese speaker, I found this language very nice. Ich liebe schwabisch
@@oparadigma I ❤ Schwäbisch too 😆
Of course there is a short and a long version for the vowel a - Kamm und kam - or did I understand you wrong? I also don't get how h in human sound anything near to "ich" and "ach".
@@cwnbn3226
Yes, you understood me wrong. I didn't want to use too many linguistics terms, but in this case I should be more precise. The German long and short minimal pairs are:
[aː] - [a]
[eː] - [ɛ]
[iː] - [ɪ]
[oː] - [ɔ]
[uː] - [ʊ]
[yː] - [ʏ]
[ø:] - [œ]
[ɛː] - [ɛ]
And there is also the Schwa [ə], which is always short and the vocalized R [ɐ:], which is always long. I guess you see it now, do you? I may add that the Umlaut shares the same fate, but it's a bit more complicated because it's the same phone as the short .
As for the second issue - You are correct since the phonems are not the same.
['ɪç] - [ˈhjumən]
But from a teacher's standpoint it makes sense to compare these two words, because if you put the short in front of "human", [ˈɪhjumən] you get the same sound you want to hear from your students. It works well enough unless there is a smartass kid who points out the "Gleitlaut" which triggers the rather uncommon pronunciation. And the kid would be right of course :)
edit: Btw, may I ask what your native language is?
Julia trying to trick her into saying "pau" and Yeon Seul did a perfect pronunciation. Julia was not expecting that hahahaha

As a native German speaker i agree getman its difficult, but more so gramatic( would it not be my Mother Language i would be so confused) or i think the pronouns can be hard depending with what language you started. But never heard that we talk fast. Hearing other languages i dont think we talk that fast in general( i mean their might be some who speak faster).
As a Persian who loves the German language, I'd say Spanish is spoken - at the very least - 3 times faster than German. I could argue that the average American talks faster than the average German.
What does "Vale" or "valet" ? mean in Catalan? I heard it many times in Barcelona

Well, as a Catalan and Spanish native speaker, in Catalan "me gusta" doesn't exist, we say "m'agrada" so there can't be a change in pronunciation with Spanish because it's not the same verb. And I'd say Catalan is linguistically closer to French than it is to Spanish and Portuguese, due to the fact that Catalan is an Occitano-Gallo-Romance language and French is a Gallo-romance language, whereas Spanish and Portuguese are Ibero-Romance languages. They're all similar because they all forked out of Latin, but not any closer than Italian is to Spanish for example. And I'm going to write down the sentences they said for anyone who may want to learn it, because some were not accurate since she tends to mix it with Spanish, so:
Em dic... pronounced [am dik]
Tinc vint-i-un anys... pronounced [ting vintiun añsh]
Sóc de França... Pronounced [soc da fransa]
And by the way I don’t mean to criticize Yeon Seul’s Catalan level since we can all make mistakes when we learn other languages, it’s great that she was interested to learn about it in the first place for visiting Barcelona! Locals really appreciate it!

Probably the easiest accent from Brazil is from South. You don't need to change 'e' to 'i, and 'o' to 'u' in the end of the words. But if you aren't in the south, brazilians will discover easier that you are not brazilian
Hmm, depende muito de onde tu estiveres no sul
Depende, o litoral normalmente puxa muito o açoriano dos primeiros colonizadores, lembra muito mais um capixaba/carioca do que os outros sulistas. Tem lugares do paraná e santa catarina que é igual o paulista do interior etc

Just a reminder since everyone keeps believing that the Anglo-Saxons exterminated the people.. Genetically they're not Germanic but Celtic! Linguistically the English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish are Germanic people! There were 200k Saxons during the time of "invasion" from between 500AD-900AD vs around 1m native Britons! Why does everyone keep believing that language shifting equals to population shifting? The language shifted quickly from common Brythonic to Anglo-Saxon/Olde English since the Anglo-Saxons intermarried with the natives from the beginning of the "invasion".. I still don't know why it's called an invasion since the "Anglo-Saxons" in history were the people who lived in England but they were actually mixed Briton-Anglo-Saxon and NOT PURE Anglo-Saxons! And also many people were Anglo-Saxon/Olde English-speaking and they were actually PURE-BLOODED Britons BUT they were also called the ANGLO-SAXONS!!! Linguistically the Irish, Welsh and Scottish are also Germanic but do you name them "Germanic people" since they're mostly now English/Germanic-speaking people? The English are genetically Celtic but linguistically Germanic! Just like North Africans who are genetically Berbers BUT linguistically Arabs! Also the Turkish people who are genetically native Anatolians BUT linguistically CENTRAL ASIAN TURKS! They don't even look Asian or "REAL" Turks from central Asia but how they're speaking the language and they're considered as being the "Turks"? Like why? Whyyy??

O português é uma língua facil de se aprender e falar pois se fala como se escreve...basta aprender os acentos gráficos e os sons nasais...já o francês e até o inglês existem "regras" e a pronúncia das palavras é diferente da escrita...(minha opinião)
Nem tanto. Por exemplo: o nosso "R" não tem som de "R" e sim de "H".

No francês também é assim. Mas isso é algo que depois que aprende não erra mais.

That’s totally not true, Portuguese no se fala como se escreve at all! English is the easiest language ever in every way, and then Dutch, which is almost as easy as English, and what makes a language easy is how memorable / pretty the words are and also how light and organized the aspect is, not if the words are written how they are pronounced or not! If you want to teach a sentence, you must show who to read. Then, you join the words.
