    women in history have always fascinated more, as they were just expect to give birth and marry for alliances, but so many women showed they are more than that and that they can rule like a man, this is absolutely stunning dear!

    Fun fact: the woman in the thumbnail is Jadwiga of Poland. Not Queen, but King! She had just such a title. She was equal to her husband, King Wladyslaw Jagiello. A brave and amazing woman.

      Her life is very impressive... Jadwiga was crowned at the age of 10 as KING of Poland. Despite being crowned at such young age she never had a regant. She was one of the best rulers in polish history. She TRIPLED size of the kingdom of Poland by dimplomacy, marriage and wars. She was a great diplomat and even her enemies admitted that it was impossible to get more than she decided to give. She was also able to lead war campaigns, like when in 1387 (she was 13 at that time) she conquered Ruthenia (todays Ukraine). She also spoke in 6 languages. She gave life to the first university in Poland (Casimir the Great started the process of its creation, but Jadwiga finished the work). Sadly she reigned only for 15 years because she died young at the age of 25/26. It's really impressive how much she was able to achieve during those 15 years and it makes you think how much she could do if she lived longer. Even her enemies like Teutonic Knights admired her beauty, wisdom and admitted that she was a worthy opponent.

    also love how you included wu zetian, as she is so underrated that it hurts, she ruled better than many men in chinese history and her rule was basically the golden age of the tang dynasty!

    What do you think of Elizabeth in the series Becoming Elizabeth? I did not like her at all in the series. They should have written the character better. I don't mean her to be an angel or too good. Just don't write her boring. She was a very annoying character in my opinion and boring too.

    • @ShiningFriendship87
      @ShiningFriendship87 Рік тому

      I agree. Mary Tudor & Edward VI were much more interesting characters. They stole the show in every scene they were in!

    • @YORKSCROWN
      @YORKSCROWN  Рік тому +2

      The boredom around Elizabeth is reasonable as she had a LOT of screentime compared to other (and more interesting) characters (and her actions are predictable)… I was upset about absence of Anne Seymour (Edward Seymour’s wife,who possessed unbelievable will and love to her husband. And she also fought with Catherine Parr for queen’s jewellery and their positions at the court🔥 But before they were friends,I’d like to see such relationship’s downfall🥲), Thomas Howard and Thomas Cranmer (+ William Parr,Catherine’s brother) as a leading figures of the religious policy⚔️
