I've had all 3. The Schmidt Capless was my favorite, originally. Awesome refill, classy pen. But, it fell apart. The F701 is nice but I don't like the feel of the Zebra refills. I've modified some refills but that pretty much sucks. In the end the Jotter still gets used regularly. The Parker refill really helps. I put a Monteverde Gel in and it's awesome.
plenty of refills that take the jotter to another level. Schneider 755 XB 1.1-1.5mm, jumbo quinkflow gel M 1.0mm and you don't even need to go schmidt or fischer space pen refill
Have been using the same Zebra F-701 for over 12 years. Tried the Parker, too slippery to apply pressure when needed on carbon copy paper, felt cheap and tinny. My Zebra has been great. Have refilled the same body dozens and dozens of times. Love that pen. The clicking is sticky now. Might replace the guts and keep my original body which has a nice patina now. I use the Zebra F-701 and its mechanical pencil brother, the M-701, everyday at work. Best pen and pencil combo. The pencil has a blunt tip that won't poke holes in your shirt.
you need a gel refill Schneider 755 XB 1.1-1.5mm, jumbo quink flow gel M 1.0mm for the Jotter to be smooth. the cartridge it comes with is a bit resistent I myself don't like those ballpoints that need pressure to write properly hence it flies out of your fingers. And the guts probably just need their caps re tightened not replaced, cause the cap screws into an element that keeps a small spring at the top.
Great video and great pens. The Jotter is a more practical EDC than the others IMO. You can use their standard Parker refills, their amazing Parker Gel inks, and the perfect EDC refill, the Fisher Space Pen refill. Covers all the bases; standard ball point refill for regular use, the gel refill for something a bit more personal or special, and the Fisher Space pen refill for all occasions.
I just picked up 3 Zebras F 701s the other day off Amazon and find the pens to be insanely good at a ridiculously low price. Thanks for doing this Review!👍
Wow, I watched a 18 minute pen review video that did not include writing with the pens. Commentary is nice but how about how each one feels in the hand? How available are the refills? Etc etc etc.
i go watch one of these video today because i actually need to write something on a piece of paper and i just realize that i have been writing on ipad for so long that i couldn't find a pen or pencil. and yet i'm a college student.
i have no idea how anybody can lose a pen. I would without shame decline giving somebody a private pen like above 30$, a bic sure, but problem never arose. At college, hell no. We are all different. That's fine. I rarely almost never lost any object my whole life for that matter except 1-2 times. Maybe being an only child is part of taking care of your stuff.

4 Jotters, 1 Sentinel, 1 Prelude, 1 300, 1 IM and 1 Cross Atx. All excellent. Gonna buy a Zebra f701 next week

Agreed 👍
I’m wearing my Hamilton Cooper while watching this!
I've had the same Zebra F-701 with a space pen insert in my pocket for the last 5 years. It's still going strong.

All 3 three write great and have plenty of refills available. That’s why they are so popular and considered “classics”
man how do you keep those so shiny
I have a Schmidt capless pen it skips too much I changed it to blue ink
Great video! Gonna use your link to grab one! 🤘🏻 #allthelove from Maine 🇺🇸
jotter is 12$ over here online, but 20$ if you just buy it from the mall.
I’ve had the worst luck ever with the jotter. Clicker always jams up.
“And as a side benefit you can stab a carjacker in the face with these pens”. Yep he said that
Bolt actions???
Zebra mayne I got a Parker hotter rn and I effin hate how light and dainty the shit is

the zebra is like $7 ........ $4 in indonesia where it's made
theschmidt is gimmicky for me, i like to click in and out, it sounds like a doormat
If you’re a pen loser, NEVER buy an expensive pen!
