Great video. You do need to save this adjustment to your Profile, once done. Tap top edge of the screen to bring down the Settings menu, Select System, Driver Profile, [Your profile] then...something like Save your profile. (sorry, not in my car to verify exact command sequence.) It pays to follow these steps whenever making any adjustments to lock them in. eg changing seat position, climate settings, crash warning sensitivitiy etc etc. I have the same model and love it
Thanks Alton, great feedback!!! Any idea if the settings are similar on XC90 and other volvos? Also just wondering who is the HUD supplier? Any help would be great. Thanks!!!
Yes, this was very helpful. BUT, there is one adjustment that was not designed into the car, which I find to be aggravating. You cannot adjust the display to the right ----- when you use the heads-up display, you will find that the display shows to the left of the center-line of vision over the steering wheel when looking at the center of the lane you are driving in. So, when driving and you want to view the heads-up display, your eyes have to move down (as expected) AND to the left, which is the annoying part. No adjustment for this. I would have picked this up immediately during the prototype design process, but for some reason Volvo did not address this quirk. 😐
You don't show how to expand the view window, mine is so flat, (up to down), that I can't see the lower messages such as cruise or the "too close" icon. How do you do that?
Can you only adjust the height? I have the XC60 and I was hoping to adjust it horizontally as well. I don't know why but the speed number is not centered. It's slightly on the left side.
Hey Alton! Do you know how to save the heads up display adjustment? Every time i turn off the engine, the HUD adjusts back to the default which is completely off screen for us tallies... is this a fault in the system or am i missing a step in saving this?
Bruno - The Heads up Display is an available option on all newly reengineered Volvo models. You will have to select the Advance Package. In the XC40, you its called a special oreder.
I got the same information from another video that took me under 45 seconds to figure out the Heads up display. I get it, your explaining to a grandma that’s 80 years old. And that’s fine too.
Great informative video. I have a new V60 and didn't have a clue that you could adjust the display up and down. Good job!
Perfect, this is the model I'm interested in, so this was what I needed to see! Thank you, Alton!

You’re awesome 👏. Volvo should be paying you to make these videos
Greatly appreciated, but from all things I have seen about Volvo this will never happen.
Thank you Alton for this guide to the many Volvo options and features.
Bridgette - You're simply beautiful. Thank you. I glad I could be of help.
Alton, we find it helps to ensure your seat is adjusted to your driving position first then your screen adjust food for thought - good video thanks
Very helpful, thanks.
Very informative and very helpful!’
I think the title is wrong. HUD (unfortunately) not available in the C40/XC40 recharge.

Very informative thanks
Helpful. Thank you!
You are more than Welcome
Does the 2019 xc90 momentum have that technology?
Great video 👍😊

Corker. You can move it up, down, brighter, or darker.

What year?

Up and down. Brighten or darken
I would encourage you to visit your local Volvo service dept.

You need to make sure you save those settings to your key
Hello just bought a used xc90 inscription. Does it come with head up display or is that an option? Ty in advance
It sounds like you just purchased a XC90 w/o HUD. Optional.
Hi! Is this feature not available in the T5 inscription trim? That option does not appear in my center control or settings in My Car.
Yes! depending on the year, its call the Advanced Package
Can you get this installed into any volvo? I have a c40 recharge.
What's going on Shanti? Unfortunately an installation by a Volvo dealer would not be applicable.
Alton?
Does it comes with all the volvos?

This guy does too much talking
There's a reason I did not tune to your channel
