I call these Not Wheels.
😂 That’s Funny!!
@@HotWheelsTV because it's true
Haha good name for them
Very boomer joke
@@Mr.grubby I'll take it
I actually found a 10 pack over here. They looked just like the Hot Wheels versions, but with a variation. The two most eye catching for me were the Dog themed ones. One was the 2017 Howlin' Heat treasure Hunt. Same colors except that the China one had an opening mouth. Much like Hotwieler does. Howlin' Heat doesn't have an opening mouth. I thought that was pretty cool. The other was in fact a white Hotwieler. Same white one. I got that one because I missed out on the HW version when it was on the pegs. The China Replica doesn't have HW engraved on the dog's collar.
A few years ago I saw those counterfeit hot wheels cars in Dollarama. The package was different than the one showed in this video and the cars had a lot more plastic and less metal. I also found counterfeit Matchbox models on the pegs right next to them. The Mbx models were mostly Peterbilt knocked off models with the same wheels as the counterfeit shark cruiser in this video! It was illarious to see that in person!
I would love to have seen them!
Thankyou for bringing this up! Counterfeits are many and deserve to be discussed in deep
Dennis... I received the package!! Thank you very much my friend! I lost your email...
Thanks brother for sharing them and first time seeing them and enjoyed watching and have a wonderful week brother 👍😎👊💯
That Great Gatspeed is a pretty cool variation to the HW version. . Instead of chrome for the engine they went with X raycer plastic. The art on the package is the same as the original HW version, but this makes it seem like you found a TH version.
I also thought that Great Gatspeed was pretty cool if they catch the person who made that one they shouldn’t fire them they should promote them up to the designs department.😊
I found today at a market stall , a 2013 Ford Mustang Gt with PR5 wheels that looked like a genuine Hot Wheels car. When I turned it over it had "made in China and Lian Teng" on the base". The base was also screwed in with phillips head screws.
Those fake Hotwheels are pretty common here in Ukraine, you can find them in small cheap shops, i somehow have two of them
Thanks for letting us know!
I remember I found some of these a while back, even made a video about them. You can see the differences watching close, the best part about them is that they have screws on the base. They were top models even, like the Bugatti Chiron!!
I think a nice name for these is Cold Wheels.
About 15 years ago, at a Toys R Us in the USA. I saw several Hot Wheels, that just weren't right! The manager, said that he just put them on the pegs! He was frantically grabbing them up, before anyone could purchase. Really don't know how they ended up there.
I like them in the fact they are different. Good luck in finding more.
For me i found a few hotwheels copy cars. One looks line a yatming version the 1935 cadillac touring car. I found it in a goodwill bag. Just a nice casting to have to compare the an orginal. Very
"Voiture" is French for "vehicle"...which I just learned!!! Good to see you doing Hot Wheels TV again 😊
Thanx!
Super cool😊
Thank you sir for the very important lesson in counterfeit Hot Wheels. Mm y sons and I just started collecting and have not come across any of the fakes yet but we will keep our eyes open so we don't get burned and I'll give you a shout about where and when we come across them. Thank you again and Merry Christmas to you sir.
You are welcome! Merry Christmas!
This is a very important video. Because it briefly touches on something that is rampant on eBay right now. Fake Hot Wheels Prototypes. There have been hundreds of them sold for various amounts by many of the same sellers. Most of them are just cars that have been discarded for various defects or stolen during various stages of production on the line and then given the fantasy treatment by imaginative employees. But honestly they are the furthest thing from legitimate. They’ve gone by many names over the years. Like bootlegs, keister cars, line pulls, lunchbox cars, pre-production cars, raw bodies, test runs, paint samples, you name it. But 99.9 percent of them are pure fantasy. The only reason collectors should collect them is for historical purposes and to educate future collectors about what not to invest in. At the end of the day, some of the creative cars have led to actual production ideas. Which is also kind of interesting historically speaking. Maybe someday in the future a creative eBay seller will list the cars for what they really are and help combat the rampant forgery. Until that day comes, collectors should use common sense and trust their guts.
thanks for this video now we know i didn't knew they fake them but yeah everything has a fake variant of it 💙
Heyllo Mr. Mike Being that they are counterfeit Hot Wheels
They should be worthless and not given any value what so ever.
Any reputable store shouldn't even carry them.
Just My thoughts
I do appreciate You showing them
especially for the novice collectors
who may not know about counterfeit Hot Wheels.
They are all toys... being counterfeit just makes them a copyright infringement. I collect them because they are counterfeit and something different for my collection. But... If they are cheaper than Hot Wheels in other countries, then there is a chance that less fortunate children will have something to play with.... just me humble opinion...
I'm like you! I'd like to buy these at Hot Wheels prices $1.08 Walmart, $1.19 Target and $1.25 Kroger (sale $1.00) USD. Matchbox same pricings now. Screw-ons cars in Hot Wheels sizes of a toy car is just so cute and neat. We are not talking about $5.00+ counterfeit toys and dolls I definitely won't buy too many of but these cars look so custom cool! 😎 Like you if it's only 7 to a few more of these cars I don't mind buying them at Hot Wheels prices.
Nice to see you back! Cheerio mate🥂😉
Thank you! We’ll be back to normal!
@@HotWheelsTV happy to hear that😉
Those counterfeit Hot Wheels cars are using Matchbox-style wheel designs...
Never seen them, but i will keep my eye out. “Hot wheel” …. Ha ha ha
I have a pretty big collection of hot wheels and match box cars i just bought in a storage auction, some where around 3k 5k cars, most still in the package, how does one process so many cars with so many variables, lmk if you would like to connect and check out the collection.
It's a labor of love for sure! Drop me an email... my name all one word at aol...
Crazy that they have to counterfeit hot wheels when the baseline cars are already only $1-$2 depending what store you go to
Missed opprotunity to do the intro: Welcome to another episode of Hot Wheel TV' LOL
😂
With the Chinese national anthem in the background maybe?
@@thegamingrailfan7905 Lights dim red...posters fall down, tone changes... haha
@@buecar and mike starts speaking Chinese I think
So awesome collection bro
Thank you!
They look like those adventure force cars.
Even those are better quality than these ones.
I bought 3 fake team transport sets about 3 years ago, the Skyline wagon , the momo porsche 962 and the yellow snake Cuda, they can still be bought but from smaller shops. Saw the same ones you have, but was not interested in them. Chopped them all up for customs.Found them in a clothing chain store in Romania.
Please send me some pictures!
@@HotWheelsTV I'll send you the one picture I took on instagram. I have the same profile name.
,,,,,,....wow.............. Cats out of the bag.!.......now I want to look and find one!!!...........we die- cast lovers like anything related..........cool.....tnx,,,,,land o' lakes,wi....
Voiture means car in French. Cheers from Canada!
Thanx!
LOL crotch cars!😂
🤣
You look like Jon Anderson from the band called Yes the irony is issues sound like him too
I really like YES too!!
So is Mattel going to sue them? And I guess Mac tools could sue them too! Need some more unboxing videos! 👍🏻🇺🇸
I guess we’ll have to wait and see…
i think they may have trouble suing some guys in their garage around the corner from the HW factory
I was wondering why Mike was wanting more of these but I put 2 and 2 together. The more evidence he has, the better the case against whoever is doing it.
I have some counferfeit super mario hot wheels, found them in a little toy store in Venezuela, thats south america for those of you not very versed in geography.
Awesome! It seems that these are found all over the world now.
Thanks for the information 🛻
Interesting. I wonder where the tools came from. I think I've seen something similar in dollar stores. I believe the body of the Rip Rod (purple) is made of metal. The white base is plastic.
Thanx!
10:25 Voiture means car in french FYI.
Thank you!
Lot of those hotwheel sold in local toy store here in indonesia, sometimes u can find it in local supermarket too
That's what I've heard...
I'd like to actually find some of these for the collection kinda neat
There are also fake ones coming by the name hot wacks same quality and method of assembly with Philips screws, they were selling in small convinient stores and news stands together with the genuine hws at almost the same price maby 50cents, 1euro less!
Thanks! I haven't heard about those yet!
I've seen some of these for sale in downtown El Paso right before you cross the border. There's a bunch of shops on Stanton st where they sell these. The name of one of the store's is Sam's toy shop thry sale a lot of knock off toys there some of them are pretty cool though
I would go Nutz in a place like that! How much do they sell for there?
I have the Batman set from this company they bootlegged every Hot Wheels batmobile casting.
I only found 2 of the multi packs.
even though they are bootleg, I freaking love them in my collection.
Awesome!! Thanx!
Talking about stolen property, I have seen factory customs being sold to the general public and Singapore is just next door with potential buyers getting their hands on them
Yes… they are out there!
I would like to have a couple of these for the collection .....I will let you know if I come across any
I have some multiple hotwheels fakes, regulars, premiums (premium card design, not model) and even a fake team transports, some of them medium quality and some looks like OG hotwheels.
I have seen the Transports and have been trying to purchase a set...
Qs toys is who makes these. You can find them online with a quick search. Only hitch is you gotta buy quite a few. But at .37. it may be worth it.
Hi man, I love this shirt do you sell them as merch if so I’d love to buy one!
Thank you... but no.
Hi i live in New Brunswick Canada they have planty of those counterfit since 2021 there is some in my dollar store....
The one that says Great Gatsby actually has a pubic hair I think inside of it! LOL! Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? LOL😮
That's funny!
Tacky, cheap and dreadful looking. Thank the stars for the real "HW'S" and not all those rubbish!! Thanks Mike for showing the dark side of counterfeit "HW'S. An item that costs around 99c. in the U.S.A. subjected to becoming the target of the counterfeit market!!!
i hate that when chinese peeps just replicate someone works like... why they didn't make another brand (ex. mojorette, matchbox etc)
I don't know why they do it either...
The wheels on these are better looking than real hot wheels.
They're very common in Indonesia. They sell these knock offs because apparently the real Hot Wheels are a bit too expensive for average people here (yeah, our economy is THAT bad).
How much are they, tho? I would love to get my hands on some!
@@neiana less than a US dollar I can say
@@Kalitayy Would you, by any chance, be willing to send a small collection my way? lol Compensated, correctly, of course...
I heard they are like .34 US
No but You’d be hard pressed to get anything knockoff ashore here 👍🏼🇬🇬
Also all the wrong way round!
This is Great! I hope they keep counterfeiting, it will make real ones more $$$$$$$$$$$$
you should to a video on the Hot wheels form Japan
That would be awesome... but I don't have any Hot Wheels from Japan....
So your saying these " test run prototypes raw zamac " from Malaysia R stolen 🤔 I've bought alot of them 😟😠
If you don't have a certificate from Mattel stating what they are .. dated and stamped, then yes.. stolen property.
Sadly in India fake hot wheels are more common than real ones😔
Wow crazy. What people will do to steal peoples money
I’d like to get a few, just to collect
I have a purple Jokermobil (Batman) with Metal Body and Metal Backplate. With „ HOT WHEEL „ ( Not Hot wheels) „MATTEL Inc“ „1983“ on the backplate. Is it an Counterfeit or an error?
Yes... I've gotten some photos of those too! They have been coming in 5 Packs.
Seriously is there nothing our Chinese friends won’t steal.
At least change the name... right?
and the base has screws not rivets
Yes!
Screws instead of rivets
A collectors desire to have something different is most likely what drives line workers to take risks and create a type of art that goes against the grain. Call it workers who disagree with their overlords if you want. Some of these line workers probably make pennies on the dollar and create this art from their vivid imaginations with mostly defective parts and pieces in order to feed their families. I'm not saying they are all like that though. No offense to any of the old school designers. But I think some of the crazy, throw together, parts cars are pretty interesting. Those line workers are rebels. Like it or not, their creations are just another interesting page in the history of HWs.
Yes, they are rebels for sure, but these cars are mass produced by a company.
I was pretty much using my money to buy hot wheels when China makes them in pretty good condition or I saw any youtube videos I could make them myself
First thing I noticed is that the car is facing the wrong direction.
Good eye!
Hot Steals
Hey Mr. Mike how long have you been collecting Hot wheels for ?
I believe he said he started in 68 when they first came out.
Yes… 1968 when Hot Wheels first came out!
I have a couple of Rodger Dodgers one purple and one blue. Both are made in china. Are they fakes? If you could help me out with some knowledge I'd appreciate it.
Hi Matthew... just look at the base on the cars that you have... if there are screws holding it together, then it's one of the ones e are talking about. If it has rivets live the ones you find at Walmart or Target, it's legit...
Use your imagination😉😂🤣💀
It's been a long time where have you been I have not seen you on a video in over a year
Thanx... it has been a few months yes... We are back and doing what we can with what we have been finding. Thank you for your support!!
It the nonsicko lol aerosol it first
I bought about 10 at a local grocers store. Thought they were a new line til i looked closer at home. I asked if grocery could get more but he said not possible.
Where do you live?
@@HotWheelsTV Australia
@@literacylabyrinth4018 I haven't seen any here in the US yet... I'm thinking that's how they are getting away with it so much..
the base and body are screwed insted of rivetted
i got one about a month ago. it was a surfin school bus but its name was just bus and had the mooneyes on it. it was number 54/365 and was easy to tell it was a fake. bought it on ebay with the incorrect photos and when it arrived it was easy to see i got scammed with this fake hot wheels bus.
WOW... these things are showing up everywhere!
Dear Mike I have an old original in the package 5 pack construction set they're all green I've never seen all green construction sets is this real or fake
It is real. Look in my book, Hot Wheels Accessories, The Ultimate Guide. You may be able to find a copy on eBay or Amazon.
Plop Wheel
LOL...
Please help me I have a couple of Hot Wheels that have a possible high value if I can send you some pictures of the best one could you please recommend someone to be able to place a number value. I really am reluctant to send it because I know it's rare
You can find all that information in my books. Look for the on Amazon or eBay.
You should do an episode about the problem of STHs being stolen from the HWs factory. And what HWs doing about it... or not... and/or if they even care.
I did.... ua-cam.com/video/3LZ1DxtxLPc/v-deo.html
in ukraine where i live in a store i know there are real hotwheels but then i found a 6 pack fake hotwheels called i think road track
I'd love to see them! Send me a photo to my email if you can please.
i dont really know if i can send them but maybe i will send them soon
Snot wheels😊
I have some Hot Wheels that maybe possibly somebody can take a look at and let me know if they're actually legit or help me learn something. They're all in packages. Red cardboard
Some of them say Hot Wheels hottest metal cars in the world online exclusive some say anniversary 3568 to '03. I'm looking at a Roger dodger one. Right now it's national series 3-4
I know it got like probably a dozen vans and well I got a tote full
Send me an email with some photos and I'll take a look. @seanhayden103
Easy wheel swap
I don’t understand..?
It's already tapped and drilled
I have a few…r u interested?
Thank you, I'm good... but maybe someone here might be interested..?
I am looking for my grandson…#1 Happy Halloween/2016.. trade my 4 for this one..
Give them to Toys for Tots. Kids will love them.
I found some "Hot Wheel" counterfeits. Very poor imitations, obviously wrong size. You can't be interested in those.
I like them because they are imitations. I like that kind of stuff to add to my collection.
@@HotWheelsTV I am in Hamilton , Ontario. Would you want some samples?
Thanks. Pierre
P.S. Enjoy your show.
What year was in they China Hot wheel cars what year was a
I'm going to guess 2020 to now... maybe a little earlier...
To not it
Not a fan of these knockoffs, but if you can get these at cheaper prices than genuine Hot Wheels cars they could perhaps be an economical option for customs.
At least give them a name instead of stealing the Hot Wheels name and logo.. I've seen other companies stealing the castings but use their own name.. ya know?
That's cause after hours they keep everything running and a midnight crew cranks out the fakes..same thing going on with Nike Jordan sneakers and some guitar brands who all decided to move manufacturing to a country that does not uphold intellectual property rights. The foreman, managers, supervisors etc.. are all aware of it and they all get a cut as there is no honor there!!
Saddly I'd Pay Xtra For One Uh Deez *
Made in China👉 Fake Wheels😂
yes.....
I suppose there's some novelty to owning some knock-off hot wheels, but they're all pretty lame.
Yes.... I want them as a novelty. I collect whatever counterfeit cars I can find.
Ripped off cars
Those are so janky and obviously not real Hot Wheels if you buy one of those thinking that's a real Hot Wheels you deserve to own it smh
I hear that they are like only .34 US
