- In our first feature Earthtastrophe, there was a white hot flash of light, and with no warning, one minute our moon is there, the next it's gone. Then, a second flash. And that's the last thing anyone on Earth can remember. 11 months later, it's not post- apocalyptic; it's apocalyptic as Earth has been sucked through a wormhole, literally ripping our planet from the inside out. With bizarre disasters and civilization collapsing, our heroes must find a way to survive and get to "safe ground" before it's too late.
Starring - Brian Krause
Directed By - Andrzej Bartkowiak
And in our second feature, Solar Attack, the largest coronal mass ejection (CME) ever detected by scientists breaks off from the sun and hurtles toward the Earth. With temperatures soaring higher, the sky on fire and the continued existence of the human race in question, scientists must explode the polar ice caps to stop the CME. Will it backfire or save life as we know it?
Starring - Mark Dacascos, Louis Gossett Jr & Joanne Kelly
Directed by - Paul Ziller

This was another great double bill. Thank you
2:31:35 Overpressurizing the internal atmosphere within a submarine,
will allow it to dive deeper, snice it balances out with external pressure.
This can make a difference for like 50 meters extra diving capability,
but also means careful airlock management upon releasing of divers.
Very good movie. Good story, special effects.
With your inviting comments, I'm going for it. Thanks! TURNED OUT VERY THRILLING AND WELL DONE
Two damned brilliant movies that kept me watching. Not cheesy like some say, but brilliant.
Earthtastrophe was so good! I wish it was longer or a show series because the concept and everything was fantastic. Even the acting was great. Great movie if you enjoy natural disaster movies AND sci-fi! Solar attack was good too, but my review on that is on the individual upload and I'm not watching that again right now, so I'm not going to comment on it, but I _do_ remember really enjoying it too.
If like me you're a fan of cheesy disaster movies then this is a good double feature.
EARTHTASTROPHE a standard disaster movie with fair acting and the effects shots are not bad and the story is a nice twist on the standard plot overall a serviceable but not spectacular movie.
SOLAR ATTACK They saved the best for last with a good effects above average script and an above average cast including Mark Dacascos, Louis Gossett Jr and Joanne Kelly from Warehouse 13. Unlike a lot these movie everyone acts fairly reasonably with no insane military man or corporate bad guy putting money and reputation above common sense. There are a couple of moments allowances have to be made for narrative convenience. The plot like all this type of movie fanciful but you enjoy this type of movie you don't care. The movie rolls along at a good pace ratcheting up the tension nicely leading to the final tense action sequence.
As a rating for cheesy disaster movies
EARTHTASTROPHE - 5/10 solid no frills but no spills either.
SOLAR ATTACK - 8/10 an good example of this type of movie that pulls you in and holds you for it's entire length.
You got too over invested in this movie 😂
Awesome
Awesome 😅
Your a real movie 🎥 critic why did you say nice twist at the end of the movie 🎥 all you had to say was it's a good movie 🍿🎥 and rate it from 1 to 10 . You don't tell ppl that there is a twist in the movie 🎥🍿 plot it takes the surprise out of it . Not even going to watch ⌚ it now thanks very much..... Not 🚫
1:53:05 Although scientifically plausible for this movie, yes when methane starts
consuming oxygen from the atmosphere under pressure of external energies from the Sun,
it will only do so for the duration of that external energy input.
Ignition and subsequent energy release must be great enough to keep this process going.
If there's too little flamables nearby it will dissipate the energy to a point below
the ignition threshold of the next flamable molecule.
For any flame to continue there must be enough energy release + oxygen + flamable substance.
With either of the three too little in the presence the flaming will end.
As for other types of radiation passing through ozone 'holes' this already happens, but
may be aggravated through external energy input beyond regular solar operating.
So, yes there may be combustion, but just a little and short, but the radiation
is alerady there each day, but may be much stronger during CME interactions
with the atmosphere.
Unless the CME is of ginormous proportions it will not affect nor ELE the planet.
Ginormous being of such a magnitude that the atmosphere itself would
be cooked off or such. This would be unavoidable, well, save maybe
a protective ring of ceramics orbiting the Earth in a planetary Dyson cylinder fashion.
For that purpose a 1 inch thick semi flexible ring can be used.
Ofc, even these have their limits, and so, you can only do so much against the
power of a star.
Note that external power harvesting through such a ring is also possible,
using solar voltaics, and with said power the Earth's already powerful
magnetosphere could be temporarily bolstered to fend off more ionized
particle clouds.
During normal operation, the ring's power generation could be used
for energy intensive purposes, such as elemenary separation of
hard to clean up waste products, through molecular dissemination
by means of molecular beam splitting, in which molecules are pressed
into a very small hole, and then have straight trajectories coming out
of said hole and then being diverted through a set of various fields
to separate one atom from the next into plain sets of elements,
which can be used again.
The Moon is a much better place to harvest and orbit the neccesary
materials for such, since it has a much lower gravity and with the use
of ion engines a much lower need for fuel.
With a linear accelerator on the Moon, hard material by bulk, could
be sent into an orbit around the Moon, and then subsequently accelerated
towards the Earth, by ion engine, where it would be receive by a station,
for subsequent processing into such a ring.
Ofc, it would be nice if all nations would see this as a formidable way
to expand our Earth's resource base, and not try and weaponize it.
It should be under UN supervision, and with that being the highest authority
on it safeguard against such abuse.
Note that once the first ring is completed, starting at maybe 1 meter wide,
the ring itself can be sped up in it's orbit speed to generate
an artificial low gravity on the inside to house entire factories,
depending on mankind's ability to generate new tensile substances,
where such tensile strengths allow for greater speed of the spin,
increasing the gravity sim until maybe even regular Earth.
Note that building on the ring should always be done symetrically
and spread out.
So one factory would mean at least 8 spots of factorizing on the ring
which would then turn octagon instead. Only when the structure of the ring
is sufficient can it be used for such.
A minimal orbital height would be roughly 3000 km up, or whichever
height houses the least amount of already orbitals, preferably none.
Once the wires connect the first set of 8 mini structures, can the speed up begin,
at first to create a stable system, and then built upon that additional segments,
until the first ring 1 m wide, 19000 km long is completed.
This would add 4.500.000 m2 of solar input resulting in 1 GWatt
continuous input or more, at the cost of a bit of Lunar material,
one cargo accelerator, a small space station.and some orbital vessels.
(These small vessels would never enter Earth's atmosphere and can
be really small and low mass, ion powered.)
The first proposed material for the initial octagon can be long Aramid wire,
after which the first 8 pieces of the octagon can be assembled,
weighing no more than 10.000 kg per piece, of which one ore more
of these pieces can be just dead weight counterbalance.
In space, nothing needs to be heavy, just tensile strength capable.
Note that expansion needs to be done in eight places at once
to keep the initial still fragile structure stable.
Over time, it can balance out on it's own by the tensile strength,
with minor speed differences balanced again with ion propulsion.
With each widening the power take in can be increased be another 1Gwatt,
while also adding more wires, increasing it's stability and integrity.
Caution: Electrical wiring should be well insulated from the structure,
since it may start producing it's own current, due to Earth's magnetosphere.
The first complete octagon could weigh as little as 200 tonnes,
for just the wires and the initial 8 pieces of 10 tonnes platforms.
Little or no solar paneling or ceramic covering included.
I'd suggest one or two pieces for each major power, with Europe one,
and the rest being from the remainder of the UN countries, all pulling
together, if they can't afford one themselves.
Once this is done, more 8 pieces can be made available when nations
so desire, and fill that in by 8 pieces at a time.
In fact even private organisations can request a piece, since there's
plenty to go around, ofc, payment beforehand.
An Earth based accelerator for high fuel economy launching would by this
time also be desirable, which when properly implemented can shave
off 30% of all orbit launches, for any and all such.
Upon succesful implementation of hypercavity capability in atmospheric
conditions, this can be as much as 70%.
The cost estimate would be near the $B 1.6, cost overruns included,
since the materials itself would only be $M 800.
($M 640 in rocket launches, $M 160 in wire and inert platforms.)
As per usual, this concept is free of charge and free to be used,
save any patenting. This is also not a request for financial support.
Note: This is all current technology, not fiction or hypothetical or fantasy.
Thank you Bill Nye.
I think may too worry. A little narcissistic dude!
Scientifically impossible but still a good movie 👍🏻😊
Both Films were good. Brian Krause from Charmed their whitelighter did a great job acting in this movie. Joanne Kelly from Wearhose 13 did a great job with her acting! 10 out of 10 Stars for Each movie!
Sci-Fi and Disaster movies are my favorite genre. It's nice to escape from reality sometimes. I have seen the second movie, but not the first one. Interesting premise. The bathroom break/top off your popcorn message was awesome. 😍
Very entertaining, some scientists are right, and others wont admitt that they'r wrong. Thanks for sharing
great movie, thank you
The 1st movie is captivating scenario of something that hopefully can/ will never happen to our world and I'd actually rate it a 9/10... very interesting and well made movie worth watching...👍👍👍😍
The 2 nd movie has a very interesting storyline that could potentially be realistic hence we don't know everything about how the sun suddenly might change it's ways from being hit from something that could be hiding BEHIND the sun that we CAN'T SEE...🧐🤨... a movie worth watching and I'd also rate this a 9/10...👍👍👍
Make your next double bill theme alien invasion movies!
Thoroughly enjoyed both movies
First film - I'm trying to recall how many films I've seen that scene with the sunken ship offshore from the 'Nuns in a Scrum' from Sydney Harbour. The lead actor does look like a Tom Cruise double. - Second film - that 'Boeing 727' with the piggyback looks remarkably like a Lockheed Tri-Star! - - In the submerged 'Russian' sub, the radio op takes a message in morse code! Har har! - - I've not seen Lou Gossett since he was fighting with Robert Shaw, and being eaten by the giant eel, in the wreck of the Goliath - in the film The Deep!
Agreed. I've flown in a Tri-Star. My first flight. Very wide body. Was scared the engine might fall off like one a week before l flew.
What the hell are you on about mate?
ditis wel goed erver praat; het is de tru your natuur ;
Nice one movie👍
Well, this movie jumped right into it .😮
Love the movie .
The only thing that annoys me is when the Russian Submarine Captain says to make a 90 degree turn to starboard ( right ) but the Sub makes a turn to port ( left )
2:12:29, Well, using nukes in or near the Earth is always bad, and there is another way
of dissipating an incoming cloud of ions, which is mass projection in outer space.
Basically putting one cloud of gas in front of another. This is not nuclear, but
a large amount of combustibles turning into gas rather than releasing useless
energy in it's path, which would aggravate the situation rather than solve it.
The expansion of the gas should be timed to just before the collision with
the CME, centered roughly 60 seconds beforehand, since gas expansion
procedes rapidly in space and does not slow down.
Since it needs to cover like 1000 km2 area, the trajectory of both cloud and CME
should be precisely calculated for the point of impact to be center of the CME.
This then will forego using nukes in or just above Earth.
The objective is not to knock out the cloud, but to dissipate the concentration of energy
over a larger area, thus releasing less energy per volume onto the atmosphere.
Once again, less energy per volume, no propagation.
Second movie, shooting satellites...
Orbital velocities are too high for most rockets, even for the fastest ones. Some modern anti-air missiles have a slight chance of hitting, but only in very close range and mainly from below. F-16's chance to hit anything that falls from orbit without parachutes or similar slowdown (like Falcon 9 landing) is almost a zero. Over 29000 km/h vs mostly less than 7 000 km/h speeds (some anti-air rockets) makes speed differentian very high to hit. (And the same goes for ballistic nukes...)
Also most of the satellites we have taken to the orbit will break up and burn before hitting surface. Some larger ones may hit the ground.
We need intelegence movies hd and spy movies and investigation
👍
First movie was a pot of snot! Second movie was good.
X-class solar flares coming soon.
very soon...
Wow

Damn, the interior of that Russian Modern day nuclear Sub, looks just like the interior of a WW2 sub. They really are backwards...
Some parts are very far from realistic and very funny.

Honestly I thought Earthtastrophe was such a terrible film title but after watching it I get it....what else could that even be called? Nothing seems good enough, so in the end, Earthtastrope works because it was accurate and gave nothing away.
The title is same as what is happening now.
This movie was mentioned as it relates in theory to MH370...where a new satellite gov video shows 3 orbs surrounding and circling the plane and the plane disappears..

Solar Attack. Oh boy! Everything is fine except for the script! The "solution" to the predicament is totally irrational & impossible to effectively neutralise the solar storm without neutralising the planet... but hey, it's a movie & I'm not a scientist. 2/5.
I tried, but just plain stupid.

03:50 worst fake beard ever!!!
2nd movie, preposterous, lol.
2 ads every 3 minutes bah!!!
Movie Posters need to understand you can't hammer the ads in crappy B grade movies. And especially in the first 5 mins. Any viewer will stop watching as the Shakey stories can't hold anyones attention with continual breaks.
Very cheesy lies!
Booooo to your comment! 😂 It's called _ENTERTAINMENT!_ Movies aren't meant to be factual, they are supposed to be FUN and take you away from reality.
Great 👌 Movies 🎉
