- Walibi Holland is the best thrill park in the Netherlands and arguably the second best theme park for coasters in Europe. This park is currently owned by Compagnie des Alpes, but it was operated by Six Flags at one point. This park features an incredible top three coasters with Untamed, Goliath, and Lost Gravity plus some bizarre theming. Find out everything you need to know about this park in this review!

the building site behind goliath is where the go karts used to be, now it will be used for the Zamperla family coaster. That is exactly what the park needed, because after drako, you don't really have a stepping stone coater. The raptor will eventually be placed between Goliath and Condor, thankfully connecting them. The park has a bright future ahead of them.
I agree that family coaster is needed.
This is my home park. I kinda like that Walibi Holland does things differently.
The EDM scene (house and techno among others) has always been immensely popular in the Netherlands and this clearly shines through in the chosen soundtracks and general vibe of park.
Despite being the original, I do really hope they will remove El Condor one of these years for something better. Perhaps one of those new Vekoma STC’s as the perfect compromise between family and thrill ride
It's such a weird aesthetic and atmosphere.
This is my home park! When it first became "Six Flags" the new coaster lineup was fantastic and sparked my passion for coasters.
Walibi Holland was always more famous among teens, compared to other dutch parks like Efteling. The shift in theming recently is to capitalize on that demographic, hence the graffiti and the F-bombs. I'm personally not a big fan and miss the Six-Flagsy charm it used to have, but all-in-all this park remains close to my heart and the recent coaster additions have only made it better.

4:43 The raptor will go between Xpress and Goliath, while the family coaster will go on the place where the go karts were located. If rumours serve right this will connect a path between el rio grande and goliath.

Xpress 13 entry is something else. My daughter has been to Walibi 3 times (age 12) she knew exactly what was going to happen (the train, the rattling in the room beyond) and she STILL got jumpscared twice haha
That theming is neat.
The candy apples, lokated right after hall of fame in a stall on the left (across the car ride) are fantastic. I have not found anything like it in the US parks I have been to in the Midwest last summer, where they were just covered with caramel, while the candy apples at walibi holland were more like lollipops with a granny smith inside.
Unfortunately I don't like sweets, but that's good for people that do.

This is my home park, being only 45 minutes away from me, and I am SO thankful that it is this close! I love the coaster and theming. I also bought some merch...

Great review. I was there last week and it was warm and sunny. All Rides were walk-on.
My Coaster ranking of this visit:
1. Goliath
2. Lost Gravity (super smooth!)
3. Condor (!)
4. Untamed ( the restraints were awful)
5. Speed of sound
6. Platform 13
7. Rio Grande
8. Crazy River
9. Space shot
10. Grande roue

@@CanobieCoaster based on this experience. The restraints were distracting from the ride. The double up was unpleasant this time. Last year was great. Condor was relatively smooth this time. My first ride on Lost Gravity was way smoother as expected. Goliath was fantastic in the front, even better in the back.
I think the vest restrained even made things worse. With old one if you just tensed up and rode extremly defensive it was bareble. with vest restraines you will be tossed around like a raggdole. Something you should experience (and once is enough).
That's a good point.
There is a fast lane ticket for €12,50, where you can reserve a ride, but you still have to wait the time the line is taking. So if the line is 45 minutes you have to wait 45 minutes before you can enter the fast lane, but in that meantime you can of course do all kinds of other things. It's an amazing value for €12,50.
I agree that's a sweet value.

Talking about the haunts. Heck yea. Walibi holland has the best halloween event in Europe. The scare zones are highly themed and the haunts are downright insane

Been to 4 of the Compagnie des Alpes parks and each of them are fantastic here's how I rank them
1. Walibi Holland - Love this park especially with its strong top 3 especially Untamed
2. Parc Asterix - Will be better once Toutatis opens but has a strong 1 2 punch for now and Tonnerre 2 Zeus is insane one of the best wooden coasters
3. Walibi Belgium - Has a really good look to it and Kondaa fits in perfectly, Pulsar and Psyke Underground is also fun, the one negative is the operations but besides that its a good park.
4. Bellewaerde - Beatiful Park with a unique Flat Ride Lineup, the best water rides in the chain with even a new Rapids coming, and the coaster lineup whilst not the best is pure fun
I think each of there parks are fantastic and I believe they are the best company

Parc Asterix is another great park in the chain.
The raptor will actually go inbetween Condor and Xpress, making it a continious loop.
The loop will be a great addition plus the coasters.
It's mad that the park is getting a family zamperla coaster in 2023, and then the raptor in 2024, two back to back coaster years, crazy.
The family coaster is the one that's most needed.
The staff there are all amazing. Maybe that's just the Dutch because it's the only park I've been to in the Netherlands.

Most Dutch theme park fans loathe it, but I'm kind of digging how eccentric and counterintuitive Walibi Flevohollandsixflagsworld is becoming. Under Six Flags, it just had generic theme park themes. Here's cowboy land, here's medieval knight land, here's aztec land, here's New York. Yawn! Seen it a million times. Now it's become this postmodern mishmash of meta-themes, grown out of decades of changing ownership and differing opinions on what the park should be (apart from Not The Efteling). It's still not quite my favourite park but they seem to be growing into their own. Adding some fine new coasters has helped a lot! A new family coaster will be very welcome here.
I definitely like the unique feel each area has as opposed to carbon copy lands.

What do you think about the history of Walibi Holland? Did most guests and enthusiasts like El Condor, Speed of Sound, Xpress, and Goliath?
The last two are really liked.
It may not have Kondaa but it still dies pretty much everything better besides that than Belgiums. 1 if few really good Boomerangs, a horrible SLC, but the original, an outdoor Rock and Rollercoaster, and 2 fantastic elite coasters. The Intamin Mega and RMC are what make the park a top park in Europe.
I do wish the coaster lineup was deeper, but the top 3 is enough to keep me busy.
At Walibi Holland, what are the differences between the roughness of Condor with the vest restraints and the roughness of Lost Gravity? What do you think?
Lost Gravity has a shake. El Condor is brutally rough.
Ironically while I was queuing for Riddler at New England, I was told that Condor has fiberglass trains and very bad tracking so even with the vests, it still sucks. The fiberglass trains sound horrible.

At Walibi Holland, when El Condor, the first Vekoma SLC, used the old trains with over the shoulder restraints, did most guests and enthusiasts like it?

lost gravity was close to the smoothest ride in the park last time i was there so im kinda confused on how you had a rough ride with it
Maybe it is train dependent since I heard it was smooth opening year and then the rough reports started.

This park could definitely use one. I'm excited to see Zamperla stepping up their coaster division.
I still cannot believe you think this ride is rattly (lost gravity) ....It's the smoothest only beaten by Goliath which is the smoothest coaster ever. Express 13 and ESPECIALLY condor are way worse offenders. (although you did mention condor being especially awful)
Lost Gravity rattled for me in both 2019 and 2022. I've seen others have similar issues with it. Still really like the ride though.

Maybe this one was manufactured first, but Rock n Roller Coaster was assembled first.

At least Alton Towers, Phantasialand, Energylandia seem to be better than Walibi Holland concerning coasters to me. Untamed is insane, but the others aren't anything special. Goliath is good, Lost Gravity is fun, albeit short and the rest is forgettable. As a whole I'd prefer Europapark and PortAventura as well (if Red Force counts). I could see me prefering Lieseberg and Heidepark too, but I haven't been there yet. So I think even saying "arguably the second best theme park for coasters in Europe" isn't justified at all. With the raptor they might rival the top 2 of Energylandia though.
That's a fair point about those other parks. Those are great in the coaster department too.
Now the most important question, Walibi Holland or Walibi Belgium? (Don't you dare to give a wrong answer XD).
Walibi Holland has the better overall lineup, but I prefer Walibi Belgium as a park.
You would never see a ride in America with an alcoholic name in it like Tequila Taxis? Seeing as it contains no inappropriate words in its name, that sounds like overkill to me.
I think theming a ride to drunk driving is a bit much for America.

I really don't like this park all that much. Okay they have a couple of good coasters, but the theming/ambiance is almost non existent.
I like the weird themes.
Untamed is great. Walibi is horrible.
What do you dislike most about it then?

I like the park. Doesn't feel tacky to me since they go all in on the oddities.
