    You are correct, HOWEVER the oil pan must be tapped high enough on the pan so the return oil is above the oil level in pan.

      It doesn’t have to be above the oil level, the oil will circulate out of the drain from the suction of the oil siphon by the oil pump.

    most holset manuals state it needs a 19mm ID drain... ive already ran AN12... think this would be ok? an12 is only 15mm ID.

    I wouldn't use AN fittings at all, or at least get one that is the right size according to the manufacturer. It states that the drain should be 19mm all the way down to the pan.

    Do you sell these parts on your site, I picked up the T3 turbine housing form you last week now need that feed fitting with copper washer as well as the bored out drain.

    What if you are doing draw through setup?

    That bearing is only letting so much oil by the bearing, if you have 100psi on your bearing it will leak,

    I change turbo journal bearing to ball bearing and change oil fitting to 1mm size and not burning oil to exhaust but smoking from turbo intake, ¿you know why?

      Most of the time the problem is an oil drain issue

    Can i go straight to dodge to get the fittings?i have a he351cw i beleive(holset3 from cummins)
    Installing it on a k20z3 with a sidewinder manifold and since it is an old turbo i will order a new cartridge with billet wheel down the road,

      +Vega-Expert if you plan to to a 4 an oil feed line, then you need a 4 an firing with a 12mm x 1.5 thread on the other side and a washer and oring for the 12mm side of the fitting

    do you think if u have blow by it will pressurize ur oil return line ? and ur center cartridge? result of blowing oil to ur compressor side?

    • @turbofiero86
      @turbofiero86 6 років тому +1

      any pressure in the CC is in the cartridge too, so yes it will cause oil to push out of the seals

    • @537R4HC
      @537R4HC 6 років тому

      so how to prevent from getting that oil leaking to your compressor?

    • @turbofiero86
      @turbofiero86 6 років тому

      one of a few things could be happening
      A) drain is too small (AN12 min, and im not even sure thats enough)
      B) too much oil pressure (holsets like a max of 72 afaik)
      C) crankcase pressure is too high (vent the valve cover)
      D) least likely, but possible it didnt get enough oil (perhaps running a restricted fitting?) and it ran it dry

      why thsi guy turbo lab didnt mentioned about blow by and how to fix

    • @markrich3271

      Add a AN10 line to the intake of your turbo with a catch can inline ,doing so will act like a vacuum pump equalizing pressure.

    Where would you feed the oil from on a Dsm?

    • @turbolabamerica
      @turbolabamerica  9 років тому +1

      775automotive i prefer the oil filter housing since it is cleaner oil. as long as the oil drain is large enough it wont cause issues blowing oil, even with the balance shafts removed.

    So only port the 10an fittings? I would think your 10an 5/8 inner diameter hose would just restrict it the same. Especially the return bung.

    • @TheChrisey
      @TheChrisey 3 роки тому

      Exactly. Porting it wouldn't do much. In fact it might even leak when the taper on the AN connection is drilled out

    wow...hope the oil pump can cope with that...that is robbing a lot of oil from the
    engine;
    Also,and all my life i dealt with it,it's pronounced 16 millimeters,plural.
