From a chronic illness sufferer that loves watching your videos, please keep in mind that it's going to mean the world to someone that goes to you as a family doctor and has a rare disease if you actually know about their disease without looking it up on the internet ( wikipedia I've seen doctors use mostly)or if you actually connect all the dots and can diagnose someone with a rare disease! Because all other specialties do not interconnect well together most of the times, you go to certain doctors for certain things but with family medicine doctors you can tell them all your problems and see a pattern that is the only clue to a rare disease diagnosis!! try the app sleep cycle! it monitors you're sleep and you set a window of time (anywhere from 10-45 min) when you want to wake up and it goes off when you're sleep is the lightest. the volume starts out low and it gradually gets louder so you aren't woken up abruptly by an obnoxious noise. I always wake up feeling so much more rested when I use the app!
Carrie Leigh definitely agree, i absolutely love it! do keep in mind that it can use up quite some battery so make sure your phone is fully charged before going to bed/charge your phone in the morning (charging it all night long is bad for your battery though)

Sterile water or sterile normal saline would be best! But many times patients don’t have those in their home. I think that’s all the question wanted you to know 🙂. This rotation was super interesting to me since I work as an NP in family practice!!

This is all while he cares for me extremely and does his best to help me achieve all my dreams. I want to do my best on Step 1 so I can show my parents all of their hard work is worth it! I use to do that alarm thing as well, but you are more rested when you only have one alarm. It is harder to get up with one alarm, but you feel a hell of a lot better throughout your day.

First of all, I would like to say that I love you vlogs and I get excited to binge watch your videos very saturdays (I only allow myself to be on YT on weekends bec you know, study first before YT) and that staying on your channel is one of the highlights of my weekend (for real)! Second, I became really inspired after watching your USMLE video and that it really made a lot of difference now that I am on third year. As I watch your videos, I became more and more inspired to study better - I sleep early then wake up at 2 or 3 am to study harder than what I did in my lower years. I realized that I want to really work hard and give 100x more effort to get higher grades just like what you did to get a very good USMLE score. Med school curriculum is slightly different here in the Philippines because we have our clerkship in 4th year but before getting to 4th year we have to pass this so called Revalida, which is a series of exams about everything we have learned from 1st year to 3rd year. And that will be on May 2019 and that makes me nervous because I know I still have a lot of readings to do. That is why I am joining your give away contest because I know USMLE and USMLE Rx will be a biiiiiiiig help for me to pass my exams and to reach my dreams to be a Pediatrician. Hi America I love your channel very much you gave inspiration and encouraged me to complete my study of medicine after two years of dropping out, unfortunately my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and I had to be there for her because I am the only one to take care of her. After that I had a nervous breakdown one night and from that experience I told myself that I am no longer a med student, I was devastated but hearing the stories of others like the one you posted on Instagram about that woman who had children and she was trying her best to succeed in the MCAT I felt really encouraged and that I was able to continue with my studies, I love your videos and I keep waiting for you to upload at the end I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything and I'll be very grateful if I got that subscription to the usmle ❤

Hi America!! Just wanted to let you know why the answer would be tap water. I believe it’s because the other solutions are antiseptic solutions not cleansing solutions. For example, if a wound was full of dirt, you wouldn’t want to soak it in iodine because it wouldn’t clean the dirt out. You’d want to cleanse it first then apply the solutions (saline or a sterile solution would definitely be best, but out of just those options it’d be tap water) Also some solutions are too harsh on a fresh wound, and can dry out the skin drastically, preventing it from healing properly. Hope that helps :) Also I’m a massive fan of your videos and you have motivated me to go to medical school!! ❤️❤️ I will be forever grateful for that!

This is so funny to watch your preparation for tests when test day is close, you're panicking so much but than calm down and just go forward. I failed my first year in medicine last 2016-2017( we supposed to be batchmate in medicine.. 😍) and was sooo depressed and on the verge of ending my dream and be a nurse( I'm already a licensed nurse). But! I decided to give it a push this year. When I feel that nagging voice of "you can't do it, you will fail again", I watched your videos and feel a bit better to see how you overcome all your struggles and gathered study tips as well( using whiteboard, rewriting and teach it till you know it). My greatest dream is to practice in the US or at least get to spend my elective rotation to practice your ideal healthcare setup by taking Step 1 and 2 here in my country( I'm from the Philippines, btw). And! Go to America(legally by having a student visa!) to meet you, America...🤣😅 Our school curriculum and topics are a bit different so, having a USMLE-RX to guide me as I used my FIRST AID will REALLY help me in my studies as a MS1 and for taking STEP in the future. Excited that I didn't have to get through this massive First Aid book all by my lonesome, I went to the website and was immediately crushed by how expensive it is. Taking Step 1 is already so expensive, and on top of all of the other stuff I have to buy (Sketchy, Pathoma, etc) I don't know if I would be able to buy USMLE Rx too. Hi America! I’m Mustafa, a fifth year med student from Bulgaria. I want to take the USMLE STEP 1, but my school doesn’t provide a teaching that would help and all the material is in bulgarian. So that means that I’ll have to prepare all by myself and that’s why I think that USMLE rx will be really helpful! Hello America! First of all, I would like to say that I love you vlogs and I get excited to binge watch your videos very saturdays (I only allow myself to be on YT on weekends bec you know, study first before YT) and that staying on your channel is one of the highlights of my weekend (for real)!
Second, I became really inspired after watching your USMLE video and that it really made a lot of difference now that I am on third year. As I watch your videos, I became more and more inspired to study better - I sleep early then wake up at 2 or 3 am to study harder than what I did in my lower years. I realized that I want to really work hard and give 100x more effort to get higher grades just like what you did to get a very good USMLE score.
Med school curriculum is slightly different here in the Philippines because we have our clerkship in 4th year but before getting to 4th year we have to pass this so called Revalida, which is a series of exams about everything we have learned from 1st year to 3rd year. And that will be on May 2019 and that makes me nervous because I know I still have a lot of readings to do. That is why I am joining your give away contest because I know USMLE and USMLE Rx will be a biiiiiiiig help for me to pass my exams and to reach my dreams to be a Pediatrician.

Hi America I love your channel very much you gave inspiration and encouraged me to complete my study of medicine after two years of dropping out, unfortunately my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and I had to be there for her because I am the only one to take care of her. After that I had a nervous breakdown one night and from that experience I told myself that I am no longer a med student, I was devastated but hearing the stories of others like the one you posted on Instagram about that woman who had children and she was trying her best to succeed in the MCAT I felt really encouraged and that I was able to continue with my studies, I love your videos and I keep waiting for you to upload at the end I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything and I'll be very grateful if I got that subscription to the usmle ❤

Hi America!! Just wanted to let you know why the answer would be tap water. I believe it’s because the other solutions are antiseptic solutions not cleansing solutions. For example, if a wound was full of dirt, you wouldn’t want to soak it in iodine because it wouldn’t clean the dirt out. You’d want to cleanse it first then apply the solutions (saline or a sterile solution would definitely be best, but out of just those options it’d be tap water) Also some solutions are too harsh on a fresh wound, and can dry out the skin drastically, preventing it from healing properly. Hope that helps :) Also I’m a massive fan of your videos and you have motivated me to go to medical school!! ❤️❤️ I will be forever grateful for that!

This is so funny to watch your preparation for tests when test day is close, you're panicking so much but than calm down and just go forward. So great that you do such kind things to give people opportunity they don't have. I'll be very very happy to win this subscription cause it's hard to find recourse that satisfy with the price and can give you real knowledge, also having all recourses in one place is a lifesaver . I would love to get USMLE because although I'm not a medical student yet. I will be one, one day! And I believe that studying and learning in advance at a young age will not only facilitate my future a bit because I would be able to retain more information, but it will also assure my future patients that I have what it takes to care for them.

I failed my first year in medicine last 2016-2017( we supposed to be batchmate in medicine.. 😍) and was sooo depressed and on the verge of ending my dream and be a nurse( I'm already a licensed nurse). But! I decided to give it a push this year. When I feel that nagging voice of "you can't do it, you will fail again", I watched your videos and feel a bit better to see how you overcome all your struggles and gathered study tips as well( using whiteboard, rewriting and teach it till you know it). My greatest dream is to practice in the US or at least get to spend my elective rotation to practice your ideal healthcare setup by taking Step 1 and 2 here in my country( I'm from the Philippines, btw). And! Go to America(legally by having a student visa!) to meet you, America...🤣😅 Our school curriculum and topics are a bit different so, having a USMLE-RX to guide me as I used my FIRST AID will REALLY help me in my studies as a MS1 and for taking STEP in the future. Hope to meet you even if I don't win the giveaway. More power! I'm very focus right now unlike before( no more Soo-much-fun until I finished strong) and it is nice to feel that there is someone I watched after class to boost and inspire me. I'm in my second year of medical school and am already so overwhelmed with all the resources. After listening to you talk about all the benefits of USMLE Rx (and it turned out pretty well for you - congrats x10000 on your fantastic score!), I spread the word to my friends about your channel and great advice! Excited that I didn't have to get through this massive First Aid book all by my lonesome, I went to the website and was immediately crushed by how expensive it is. Taking Step 1 is already so expensive, and on top of all of the other stuff I have to buy (Sketchy, Pathoma, etc) I don't know if I would be able to buy USMLE Rx too. I feel like I'll really need it because First Aid is already looking like Mount Everest :( Winning this contest would mean so much to me, and I promise to make you proud when I take the exam in June
