Then everyone hates her after and I’m like she’s a child!😂 she’s like maybe 11 or so. She’s not a scientist. She just as trying to save her friends lives.
That's the beautiful bit about the writing and story-telling though. You see the good intentions, you see why each side feels the way they do, and you see how it all goes horribly, horribly wrong. All those wonderful shades of grey.
@@NRMaleficarum Yup, there are very few people who see both sides the first time through. The punch is very divisive, those who side with Powder tend to agree that Vi shouldn't have done that to a young child regardless of the reasoning, and those who side with Vi try to justify it in some way or another, usually by talking about how Vi is ALSO a child. She's not an adult, she can't control her emotions much better than Powder can (trauma response aside). But both sides are right but also wrong because there are no sides. It is tragic for both sisters, and both of them did bad things that caused the other to have trauma.
@@therren9981 I think one of the things people ought to learn from Arcane is that there are no easy answers, but many stick with their first impressions without digging a little deeper.
The quality of the animation, writing and scoring is in the FACT that I feel something EVERY time I see this. Incredible production. Going back watching reactions before I start season 2 just solidified how elite this show is. I'm not sure if it won awards, but it is well deserved.
I love that y'all just get it. I watch a lot of reactions to Arcane and people often get confused in ways that baffle me but you keep good with it. Knowing names, keeping track of the themes and events. Top notch.
A lot of people have been lobotomised by modern Marvel and Star Wars, things that punish you for paying attention. You need to actually pay attention to watch Arcane. Kudos to this couple, they're paying attention.
@@Fionalah Agreed. Some people watch Arcane at a surface level and enjoy it, but paying attention really pays off. Every shot, every line of dialogue, every expression, every bit of music has been carefully considered.
yes they get the essence, meaning, and passion of the show. completely understood the art of the storytelling. that's why this episode hit these two so much. can't wait till they see the other ones
When Vi sees the monkey bomb head, I don't think she knew that Powder was there or that she had caused the explosion. I think she thought Powder had been caught up in or killed by the explosion.
The weight of this episode still hits home every single time for me even though I know it's coming... it just keeps hitting hard and throws you in so many different directions too
It looked like you listened to the entire outro music while you were stunned. Kudos - all of the music was written specifically for the series, and edited to screen. It's part of the storytelling.
"it was based on a video game but they didn't come to play" lmaooo great line. you guys should watch some of the league cinematics after you watch arcane I recommend "the call" to see what is to come in the arcane universe for seasons to come but your call. but regardless I love this show and the game. thx for the reaction to this master piece you'll love the rest of the show my fav maybe
Normally when shows try to go this tragic I find ways out. Motivations don't fit. I find the outcomes of actions feel contrived. But in Arcane everything lines up. Every character is just doing what it was established they'd do. Every thing just works the way it was shown it would. So there's no wiggle-room and I just have to accept it. And it's such a beautiful tragedy.
His name isn't spoken many times, and he doesn''t get many lines of dialogue. I half wonder if this is intentional, to make the viewer feel bad for not remembering his name.
Ahh episode 3, where your heart gets broken repeatedly and shit gets real. Baits you in with thinking the whole "the underdog finally wins and succeeds at their plan" for Powder only for 3.5 seconds later her family gets wiped out. Congratulations we found out what happens when a 12 year old tries using out magic infused high explosives.
This episode reminds me of a certain episode in another great anime Re:Zero... Where at the end there is so much emotion so much chaos so much to process that you just simply can't. So you sit... In silence... In despair even... Its just so good
"The Episode" the feels episode, seen it more that 50 times by now and still cannot go trough it without shedding tears, even if I let it play in the background just the music alone gets me. Might be hard to believe me right now but ACT 1 is the weakest of all 3, at the beginning I was like 1-3-2 nothing tops Act 1 because of Ep 3, then no... I change it to 3-1-2, finally once you really and I mean really watch the shit out of this show its 3-2-1. I don´t even dare to spoil a thing by saying what episodes are better than EP 3. Don´t get my wrong, by normal standard Act 1 and its episodes are a masterpiece compared to most shows, just trust me on this the best is yet to come.
Powder, if we think about it, she did ok. The only person that she cared about is Vi, and thinking about it if it wasnt for powder that monster kid wouldve killed them all. If it wasnt for the explosion, vander would have never fall into that drug and be able to beat that monster. That monster was going to care of all of them. Only left is Vi and Powder sure, but without it, none of them would still be alive.
Dota is a better game in terms of mechanics. It is absolutely not a better game in art, style, creativity, and world building. League just absolutely smashes all mobas in that regard. You couldn't make a show like this with characters from another moba... They aren't ALIVE enough in the game.
@@bananabread4338 They stay ahead in the shows. Also, this isn't a spoiler, she's literally in the game. its knowledge everyone knows about. Nothing about this is a spoiler to them. They release things to youtube like months after they watch it. I bet they've already seen the whole show lol.
Anyone but Powder-Jinx is to blame. it’s Vi’s fault, who dragged her sister to a robbery and showed how not to listen to adults and do everything her own way, and then abandoned her sister in a dark alley, close to a burning building, close to a corpse, close to a cruel drug lord and his gang of psychos. Vander is to blame for not stopping the child from making bombs and participating in theft. It's Jace's fault that he kept magic nitroglycerin at home. Silko is to blame for kidnapping Vender and killing him by stabbing him in the back. But not Powder
I blame everything in episode 3 on Silco. You're right about all the other things but Silco had a plan to take Vander and Co. out before they got in trouble. I hated Silco from the moment he made that kid take the Shimmer.
Is this a joke? Blame everyone except Powder, Silco is the most guilty, but Powder was the one who planted the bomb, she was the one who stole the stones and who even suspecting that they were the cause of the explosion, did not tell Vi, Vi did not abandon her either and Powder wanted to go to the robbery
Violet is the only true victim in this whole situation how dare you blame her! The blame can be everyone else's to share but violet! she's the victim of all of this.
I assume you mean when Vi sees the blood splatter on the window. That isn't benzos blood. Its from the dead female enforcer, greyson who we see dead on the ground in front of the basement window where Vi is. When we next see Vi is when ekko comes into the basement. From what she says to the other kids in their hide out she saw benzo get killed.
