Got the HC65 V2 after listing to the narrator 3 or 4 times to digest everything he was saying. It took three days for me to contact customer service. Customer service is something to be desired. I wish they were as helpful and enthusiastic as the narrator. They do not tell you you have to use their special battery (18550 rechargeable high output 8amp battery retail on line $21.95) The regular 18650's work but not as long. I asked why when charging the lamp body gets really hot and he didn't know. I asked him when on high it drops down to a lower setting, he didn't know (if the battery charge is weak it will drop down automatically). You have to unscrew the battery cover and screw back on to find out what power is left in the battery. It's very difficult to adjust the light body up or down and while doing so you inadvertently keep hitting the on/off button. This lamp is only a floodlight. Overall C rating. I considered returning it until I found out all the hoops you have to jump through and the return charges associated with it.
The 1 thing I can help you with is the headlamp rotation. Almost all headlamps are really stiff to turn up and down so what I like to do is spritz a little WD-40 onto a napkin and rub it on the headlamp body near the mount grips and that thing will swivel up and down with ease.
Finally a dual spring Nitecore incorporates common tech that has been in flashlights for over 15 years. This new HC65 V2 has incorporated several new welcomed changes. A useful lumen level at high, yes please and thank you.
Love the sense of humor. I have a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 and a bunch of Nitecore 3100 mAH batteries. Three questions: 1) can i change the battery in this headlamp in my i4? 2) can i use my 3100 mAH batteries in this flashlight? 3) can I charge my 3100 mAH batteries in this headlamp or could they be damaged?
One of the models I mentioned on your other comment, NU35, employs such a button for the red light. Guess many of the NU series have that feature as well...
I’ve completely swapped out my whole light eco system because of this channel! I edc the e4k, have the b/c65 v2 as my head lamp, have the glow in the dark tiki on my keys chain. Have the i4000r as a back up light. Can y’all recommend a flash light to mount on a rifle?
NU05 or NU07 models are just for signalling though. They're not fully functioning flashlights. Still if what you're looking for is signalling, then Dantick09 is right, NU05 / NU05LE / the new NU07LE are what you should check out. I mounted two NU05LEs on my motorcycle helmet back in the time. Signalling them with seperate colors; white vs blue or sometimes red vs blue, instead of the police red/blue strobes, in order to prevent attention of the law... They're quit capable of what they're intended for.
We released the HC35 last year which was a 21700 headlamp and the general feedback we got from most users is that 21700 batteries push the size/weight into the uncomfortable zone. 😲 So I am not 100% certain if Nitecore is going to release a new 21700 headlamp.
The v2 still isn't symmetrical though the emitters on the side are different. To make it symmetrical with the same features, you'd need to have one red emitter and one high CRI emitter on each side arranged in a symmetrical way.
Terrible UI in my opinion. Should have separate button for red, and should be single click on the main LED for on/off. No one wants to click and hold just to turn a light on
I own this product and I'm a little disappointed. Sometimes it refuses to turn on, I have to remove the battery and then, when inserting it, insist on the control button to be able to turn it on. It is a contact problem or an electronic component does not work properly. Sometimes after waiting a while I press the button and the surprise works, but it's like the lottery.
I'm getting this just because it will make my ears shiny and healthy :)

An honest review from a customer rather than a salesman 👍

Would you be so kind as to explain the advantage of using a dual spring on the hatch?
Thats some great improvements to the lamp. Even the old HC65 was a very good and versatile headlight.
So .. to turn on the high cri light I have to go through all the red nonsense ?

I would like a second button just for red mode.

HC90 had the best switch

Does the V2 suffer from the same parasitic battery drain when left in storage like the original HC65 did?

Armytek is the best flashlights if you want durability, comes with 10 year warranty and extremely good for using on guns!
A luz da nitecore hc65 v2 é mais para amarelo ou para o azul? Obrigado.
Is this the definitive headlamp in therms of beam distance / size relation? Should I considere other options? Even aggainst the Cyansky HS6R?
Is this the same one that is compatible with the helmet mount?
Always loved your presentation style.
Sad you left, (a while ago)don't even get Kelly to appear.
Good job and humor ❣️

Boss,,the hc65 batt can b use to the V2?
0:39 it also amounts to your rhino amount on your helmet for night vision FYI!
What is the depth including the mount?
Can you make a small one. That has a similar mount. I would love to be able to mount a small light to my backpack shoulder strap.
Did you try the new CU10?
Or maybe the NU35?
Or the UT27?
Nu05 is what you want

I wanna ask about How to show the battery status, to inform us that the battery needs to be charge (low battery) ?
you have to unscrew and then screw back on the battery cap, it's very unintuitive so I would suggest checking out the upgraded HC65 UHE!
is there gonna be a black friday sale this week-end?
Yes! You can sign up for our mailing list at nitecore store we send out our Black Friday deals and coupons!
I need healthy shinny ears! Gimme gimme gimme!!
Will there be a 21700 version, please?
