    I would like to
    echo the same as what most of us saw which is very informative and I appreciate this guy sharing his new found technology and the video was great. Aside from not zooming in to see from his view it was cluttered with the on screen info. He had the entire screen to the right of what he was showing us but the whole presentation was cluttered behind the on screen info. Not often does someone share in what others can benefit and for that I say he's the champ, just not a trained expert at video taping. Thanks very much Mr Fenn.

    Absolutely EXCELLENT idea regarding the Garmin mount. Great job! Hat's off to Garmin as well for coming up with some incredible technology... it's almost like cheating! Being a guide, I definitely see the need for such a tool, pretty much a necessity with competition and all. I appreciate how you mounted that on the side of the boat giving you 360 ability, very nice! Thanks for the video and explanation.

    I always enjoy your videos, and the design you made for the transducer mount 90 degree stow and deployment. I hope you don't mind a suggestion - I watched this video on my 17" laptop in full screen mode, but could not recognize or distinguish your bait movement or the crappie take the bait, as the Panoptix screen was still only about about 1.5 inch or so in size in full screen mode. Maybe next time, a closer view would work for us. Thank you for the effort you put into your videos.

    • @CamoRiver
      @CamoRiver  6 років тому +2

      I think the tube ended up 66" and it's 1 1/4". I think I used 2" pvc couplings as collars. Just a bunch of brain
      storming, trying this and that. I'm the type of guy that goes into Lowe's or Tractor Supply, and walk around looking for things that I can use for what I'm trying to build, not what they were intended for. Thanks for watching

    • @CamoRiver
      @CamoRiver  6 років тому

      @@jlwilson1988 The tube is metal. It's light electrical conduit you can buy at Lowe's in 10' sections. You can use different materials to make it work. For example, the OD (outside diameter) of the 1 1/4" conduit is exactly what the ID (inside diameter) of a 2" pvc coupling is. I actually glued a 2"x2"x1/2" pvc tee at the top of the conduit. That allow me to run the transducer cable out the top, but also glue a 6" 1/2" pipe with a cap on it that I use to turn the transducer to desired location. I glued a 2" coupling on the bottom of the conduit so the transducer cable wouldn't get damaged.

    If you're going to make videos showing the screen and what to look for and show us your bait and line... At least zoom in with your video camera so we can see it on the screen... Other than not seeing anything but you and your equipment and boat... It was a Great Video... But next time Zoom in on the live scope screen please....

    That fish was 25 maybe 30 lbs. Lips were not near big enough to be over 30. Still a good fish though.

      The transducer is $1499.00. I just picked up that same Garmin unit for $599 at bps this week on sale. Good video but would have like to seen the screen better. Keep up the good work.
