  • Hey fellow surf addicts, today we'll be reviewing the AM1 fin template in the honeycomb construction. A very reliable all round fin set. Let me know how they go If and when you grab a pair. Enjoy.
Wave Conditions: 2-6 ft and above. (Go to set on the WSL for most competitors along with AM2'S.

great stuff ... do you recon the AM2 is great for a board like the hypto kryto on 2-5FT waves? or do you think a board like the HYpto would benefit more from something with less rake? .. As an avarage surfer l like to have bit control to increase my wave count but at the same time i dont want the board to feel stiff and the Hypto is already a board with lots of volume ..

Sorry for the late reply mate, I think the Hypto would be perfect with the AM2 template. They have added control but, don’t sacrifice speed which is great 👍

How would it compare to the Legacy P8 ?

Hey Roi, the legacy P8 is a pivot set, which means it’s more upright and the 8, stands for a higher ride number, making it better in smaller waves. The Am’1’s are a more raked fin set in the balance category, which means it will draw out your turns more (great for big walls), and offer that hold in bigger surf.

      @@jakesboardreviews btw the 8 doesn’t stand for a higher ride number it’s like 5/balanced

@@jakesboardreviews The "8" in P(pivot)8 or F(neutral)8 or R(rake)8 stands for size: Large. P6 is Medium, P4 is small.
