I just made this for dinner tonight! I’m Dominican, and I grew up eating this, because my parents would always make it. Now I’m married and cook 👩🍳 all the time. Well, when I saw this video, I knew I had to make it. It was amazing!!! Tasted just like the kind I ate growing up. I used 2 sazon packets instead of making my own seasoning blend like you recommended we could substitute. Thanks again! Looking forward to having leftovers tomorrow

You missed the potatoes and the carrots that we originally put in the stew and we mash in the rice, but it looks AWESOME! I personally add 1/4 tsp of corn starch. It thickens the sauce but the butter idea is perfect. I will make this tomorrow based on yours. Thanks for the amazing recipe.

I'm not a fan of Coriander or Cumin 🤦 but from the looks of it with everything else added it shouldn't be to over powering right?? Either way Chef it looks amazing. I wish I was your neighbor lol!! Thanks for sharing and that sofrito wow so different can't wait to make that one day. And also like your Saxon cause I try to stay away from the packets and do more natural ingredients. I feel like there should be honesty and a disclaimer so people are aware this is a non -traditional inspired twist version of pollo guisado because the spices used and techniques are not how Caribbean food is made. Butter to thicken the sauce was the point of no return no this is blasphemy ...recipe is not Caribbean at all. -Dominican Republican

Can I use a pressure cooker
absolutely just adjust seasoning after i feel sometimes the pressure cooker takes some flavor away

웃 simple 1 part rice 2 parts liquid bring to a boil add rice cover and low heat for 20 min then turn off open the lid after 30 min
