Out of the countless reviews I have watched for this, yours is without a shadow of doubt the best. It helps as you are industry based, rather than consumer, although this is a consumer product, it opens up a whole new world for any action cam. I did like your egg timer version (never need batteries ha ha). I've ordered one today as for the money it's a no brainer. The app appears to allow a great deal of control as well. Thank you for taking the time to create this video, the only thing I cannot fathom is why you only have 169 subscribers. Not that figures are important, but content is, and yours is good and deserves a much wider audience...........edit you now have 170 subs :)
Wow! Thanks for your comment and so glad you enjoyed the video. I'm going for QUALITY SUBS and you are very much welcome aboard! :) Best kept secret on UA-cam. ha ha Thank you!! Andy.
Andy Sutton After using this for a day it is a good unit for the money. But the motor noise is picked up by my Gopro 5. Switching to wind reduces it slightly. I wonder if you notice loud motor noise or if I have a defective unit?. Thanks
@@ardscorner I can't say that I've heard motor noise. It might be worth re-calibrating the unit and see if that helps? I do tend to use a TASCAM DR10-L most of the time, so motor noise hasn't been my main focus. Let me know how you get on.
Andy Sutton Evening. Thanks for the reply. If I switch to wind it virtually goes away. But the audio on the gopro 5 is bad any way so I think I will go with an external recorder. I cant use an ext mic without buying the gopro adapter and that stops it fitting in the gimbal. Life was easier with U-Matic.....albeit heavier lol
Thanks Kenny! I'm just on a mini break and I brought mine along. With the C-19 lockdown I've not filmed with it in a while and it's as good as remember. A few quirks but for less than 100, it's a great bit of kit. Thanks for your comment! :)
So here's my review of the Hohem iSteady Pro 2 and my question to you all out there is what cool bits of kit have you discovered that get great shots but have another use? Like my egg timer! :) 9:28
Thanks for this video. I was looking for something to augment my Drone footage for recreational and minor advertising shoots and came across someone selling one of these gimbals which I jumped on at £45! Initially I'll experiment with a couple of Dragon Touch Gopro clones (I already use them on my motorbikes - cheap, cheerful and somewhat expaendable!) and if find it useful who knows I might look at a Gopro or an Osmo! New subscriber.....
Honest ... Good. As always these gimbals work only as good as operators hand. If one know what he is doing, this gimbal is perfect. For noobs it will not convert them into pro's.
Yes, experience is part of getting the most out of it and at £90 it's a useful and affordable tool for any filmmaker who wants to improve at capturing a moment on video no matter where they are on their journey. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
@@AndySuttonSESR I've just received it and turned it on for the first time. It seems to vibrate a lot. Is this normal for a gimbal? ( I've never had one before)
Yes, you can adjust the trim in the app. Also, resetting it helps too - when you are out shooting. It does get confused now and again as I document in this video, but for £90 it's amazing.
When I am out on my cycle and dont have my tripod, I will use my helmet as a make do tripod using my go pro helmet mount. Not as clever as your egg timer...
Nice video Andy. I am also happy with mine for a few years now. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa.
Thanks for watching and have a great day! :)
Got mine yesterday, gonna try it out this weekend.

The egg timer is brilliant.
Thanks! :) It works really well and I still use it for the occasional shot. :)
fantastic product intro and tutorials, very useful
Thank you - glad you enjoyed the video!!

No nonsense informative review. I have mine coming in a few days. Also subscribed as well. Thx!
Well done with success, my dear brother
Great review thanks for creating. Currently trying to decide weather to go ahead and purchase one of these for my Hero 5 and this really helped.
Thank you! Glad the video helped! I look forward to seeing what you make with it! :)
Great review! Just bought it 😀

kitchen timer has been used for time lapse clips at least 10 years ago , it is nothing new.
90 pound gimbal?
Good Lord man, how do you carry it around?
I'm so cheeky.
how do you connect Osmo action to Gimbal. OSMO Action has no wifi connect
Thanks. That was helpful. Just ordered one :) Cheers
Glad it was of use! It's a useful bit of kit! Enjoy!! Thanks for watching! :)

@@PaulStephenOutdoors If the camera isn't on it, it will shake violently, yes. With the camera on it, it should find balance.
@@AndySuttonSESR Spot on. Yes, when I got home from work I put the camera on it and it's fine. Thanks :)
Just watched your video and got to say thank you,I'm waiting for mine to turn up,can't wait..
Nice Channel buddy. 👍👍👍👍👍👀
Hi ! Great video . Also will this gimbal support gopro hero 8 ?
Yes, it does! :) Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing buddy. I just purchased mine to use with my osmo action. I noticed there is a slight tilt. Have you experienced this as well?
Yes, you can adjust the trim in the app. Also, resetting it helps too - when you are out shooting. It does get confused now and again as I document in this video, but for £90 it's amazing.
Andy Sutton your right mate, fixed the tilt issue with the recal. Loving it ATM. Got mine from eBay for only £59 - absolute bargain. Cheers!

That works! :) I'm currently trying to find a way of mounting a camera tripod head to something that will safely fit onto an inflatable Kayak. :)
