I think you misunderstood. I was talking about the campaign. They weren’t confident enough that the campaign was fun enough to warrant a replay, so they artificially extended it. Also, I think the very last thing I would call the slime meter is innovative, because they didn’t create it. It’s a copy of the final smash meter from Smash Ultimate, which was one of the main new features in that game. It’s not a bad thing that they put the slime meter in, but it definitely is not a new idea
@CarterMcSwaggins Alright the first point i agree with, but the second i just don't understand because it's much more than just a Super meter (that Smash didn't invent either and is more of a Street Fighter thing) it can also be used to perform EX strongs and specials, cancel move endlag, perform an air slime-dash for recovery and combo extensions, buff your shield, and burst out of a combo, there's probably more stuff you can do with it i just couldn't think of anything else on the spot LuL. And sure, a lot of this stuff isn't new to fighting games but it definitely is for platform fighters

I feel like if it gets compared to the FS meter, then someone either didn't play with that turned on in smash, or didn't play smash at all./hj
