    I tried these today, were superb in taste, my family loved it.
    But my batter became wet, and I didn’t use any water, so apart from perfect shape like yours, these turned out great 👍

    Question: Can you make the dough in advance and make the vadas later? if yes, how much in advance. I love your channel and have tried many recipes. Thanks

      Yes, you can prepare the dal mixture for dal vadas in advance. Soak and grind the dal with ginger, garlic & green chilli as shown in the recipe. Transfer the ground dal into an airtight container and refrigerate it. You can store this mixture for up to 12-24 hours. Avoid adding onions, spices, salt & the remaining ingredients while storing. To make vadas using this mixture, take it out of the fridge & let it come to room temperature then follow the same process as shown in the recipe, your dal vadas will turn out to be perfectly crispy.

    We have a tradition to do this vade on Ganpati Mahalaxmi occasion but without onion and garlic. Kadhi patta and hing are the must ingredients. Rest is very good presentation. Happy Home Cooking.

    Thanks for guiding. My vadas used to become very soft instead of becoming crispy. I used to add little water while grinding and tat used to make vadas very loose. And after frying they used to turn soft.
    But will try this method of yours and make it

    Gujarat mei dalvada is not so flat. Vese I have cooked your methi matar malai recipe with paneer many times and my folks love it❤ it is also easy to make out of India as ingredients as easily available except fresh methi - thank you.
