I still have the Armour2, it's 2.5yrs old and not missed a beat despite accidentally dropping it off a bridge in Barcelona. Whilst I rushed to hopefully retrieve what was left of it it was kicked to the kerb by an unseen vehicle and it took nearly an hour dodging traffic to eventually find it underneath a parked bus...can still remember the look on a friends face when we found it in perfect working order, only the rubber protection had scuffed and peeled away slightly but super glue fixed that in minutes lol. I'm sad but I won't be opting for this latest model, I just can't support the place of manufacture presently..sorry.
@@robertheller4583 Crikey, I can see how a black eye was possible, sorry you had to suffer such a painful lesson !! ' Genuinely didn't think it was possible for any standard IP68 mobile fone to be so much heavier than my 2t, I guess I'm still living and learning lol...
I bought an Armor 9 a few weeks after I posted the comment above. So I've had it for nearly 2yrs, the battery life is not good, maybe 12mths old it started to lose longevity and needed daily charging ! No 4G calling on Vodafone UK, which is appalling ! Not a fone I'd recommend..give me Armor 2 anyday over this far too heavy junk, full of throwaway gizmo's that you'll use a few times at most.
Has anyone heard that an Armor 9 is only operating 3g on certain UK networks, vodafone are switching 3g internet off this month and messages and calls off by march '23..the notification states that Armor 9 won't work on their 4and5g networks
Oddly, your comment actually prompted me to buy the Armour X9 pro a few years ago.... and I have never been happier with a smart phone. It's endured a rough life, and is still going strong, but I am looking at upgrading the specs. The website is a confusing mess. I don't know why some models are cheaper or more expensive than others. All I want is a phone that is as rugged as this X9 Pro has been (and believe me, I've put it through some trials both accidentally and on purpose) - but with some more oomph in the specs. I think they could make their labelling of products a bit more clear.
Until February 2022. I switched from cricket to at&t so I could use it until they shut the 3g down. It's not on their approved list of 4g phones for some reason
Ulefone Don't even think that their phones resist dropping water! Bought a Ulefone Armor 3T for 7 months specifically for water sports. Have been cautious for the first six months. Always use water proof phone ziplock cover before kayaking. Finally decided to put this phone to a test for it's IP68/ IP69K standards. Naked phone on my spray skirt with cord hanging on my neck while kayaking to open water. Didn't even drop it to the sea. Just keep splashing sea water to the phone. 15 mins later, picked it up trying to take some pictures. The screen shut off after a brief flash. Never power up again. Took it to the sole agent for repair. The first thing they said was that warranty do not cover water sports. What is this policy?! A self-proclaimed rugged phone do not cover water sport damaged? And they even said that there is a test paper set inside the phone. If the test paper change color, it means that this phone has been damaged by water and it's out of warranty? This even make me more confused. What is the logic behind? The test paper can proof that this phone maybe damaged by water, but why it makes warranty voided? Why the manufacturer claim it a rugged phone to start with? 3 weeks later, repair center called and said that the antenna cap wasn’t shut completely when use in water. They keep changing alibis to stay away from responsibilities. Unreliable business attitude.
IP68 means 30 minutes in 1.5m deep clear water. No sea water, no soap water, no pool water... Also phones losing its water resistance over time. Smartphone companies know this.
strange, because I used my X9 Pro as flashlight for a burst water main in my street. water was everywhere. I made sure the seals in the phone were all good, and had no issues.
Watch out for the charging port! It is sub par quality. The replacement is only about $18 tho, not hard to take it apart. When I took mine apart, I saw debris that had made it through the red rubber (waterproof) gasket. Be warned. It is Chinese made.

Well, after dropping it accidentally from a height of 40cm on asphalt, the tempered glass protecting the screen is shattered, and the plastic frame around the screen is full of dents and scratches, so I decided to put my first and last Ulefone under my own testing methods. Using a Makita Brushless drill took roughly 3 seconds to plough through this piece of garbage of a phone. Im a soldier myself and this is definetly not a military grade rugged phone. Typical made in china -quality.
Same thing, I didn't drop it once and the glass is cracked, have no idea how. Also, the operating system is a bug-ridden, crashing joke. The battery will drop from 70% to 15% in half a day without the phone being used at all. And then it needs an entire day to be charged back. Completely unreliable. The support is non-existent, obviously, this is a Chinese company

My Ulefone Armor 9 has a destroyed charging port. I cannot charge it any longer. In addition, the side metal guards have been bent all to hell (aluminum). I took it apart and realized I can buy a new charging port for about 18usd off of Ebay. If this fails the same way, I'll chalk it up to Chinese production errors. Whatever.
